That 2020 Special Release has been my favorite, so far. Can't wait to try the new offering.

I have a distiller pick that I snagged from the JD gift shop recently. 136.2 proof and it may be one of the best Ryes I’ve ever tasted. Id love to blind it against Sagamore 8 year reserve, Thomas Handy, and OF SBBS Rye

I got a new SBBP rye and had about an oz and 1/2 of the 2020 special rye. I, too, preferred the newer offering and i thought the 2020 was one of the best whiskeys i have tried.

Grabbed a store pick from total wine in San Diego for $44 today. I think it's winner for sure . I like it more than OF single barrel barrel proof. I got the 129 proof.

I’m not afraid of needles or bees. Last summer a wasp was on the floor near my desk and I put my foot on it. That sting hurt for a week. I’m terrified of wasps now.
Oh man, I'm really looking forward to this release. Hopefully it's easy to find like the SBBP. I stumbled onto a JD 12 year release the other day, at an unexpected place. I'm saving it for when I reach a weight loss goal of 220lbs. At 230lbs I get to pop open Calumet 15. Don't have 210lb or 200lb bottles yet, any suggestions. lol

@@tombetty1313 Eh Taylor anything is a hard get where I live, and the prices when you do see it are insane. If I get down to 200lbs, it will be a special bottle of something though. lol I was thinking maybe Joseph Magnus Cigar blend for 210. Either way, 210 and 200 deserve in the glass case bottles.
If you can find anything from Rare Character, especially their single barrel series, I'd throw that in the hat. I have a store-picked rye that came in at a touch over 121 proof, and it's one of my favorites. Love their bourbons, too. Super rich, bold flavors, long finish, etc. Its about $100 a bottle and it still hits way above its weight.

I am not a fan of sweet whiskey. My favorite is Redemption High Rye Bourbon. It has a good "bite" of alcohol followed by an interesting corn flavor. It isn't sweet
