This has got to be one of the best cover songs of all time. I love Filter.
Filter only does awesome covers, putting their great, unique spin on the originals.
Their cover of One by 3 dog night from the X Files soundtrack is by far my favorite.

I am obsessed with this. I love Filter! This song by the Turtles was played at my wedding....20+ years later when we finally broke up after tortured years, I discover this version. Epic, frickin' epic.

Finally! This is the "dark" version I was looking for! This song has so much potential to be deliciously creepy, and yet it was hard to find a version that takes this road
Hell, The Carpenters original is creepy af if you consider the lyrics, but yes…this is how ya do the thing.

The ending makes sense, he's singing in such a desperate/angry way because of what happened to the girl he wanted! He pictured himself with her and all those things he dreamed about jus faded away with her being run over :(

Their sound is original. Even departing from NIN, still had a sound of their own. Linkin Park should thank these guys for their success. Filter deserves much more recognition but maybe, just maybe there’s some shit behind the scenes in the biz we don’t know about.

Jess Taylor It stands for 'A splitting of the mind'. It's a rather good fanfiction centring around the pairing of Frerard (Gerard Way and Frank Iero) of the band My Chemical Romance. A fan made a trailer for it but used this song in the background, which is how I discovered the song, hence me thanking asotm for helping me discover it :)))

Just watched The Stepfather 1987 film and then the remake in 2009 and the remake brought me here.
Wow this is an amazing version. I don't like every style this band performs but I can still recognize the incredible talent it takes to do it all.

You know, yesterday this song, "Happy Together", started randomly playing in my head for some reason. So I obviously had to listen to it multiple times - I always do that, cause if I won't, I can process every single note of the fucking song in my head god knows how many times and it'll still be there. So I listened, hoping that my broken brain will kindly get bored and finally let go. But I got sick of it anyway. I mean, I love this song, it's great. It's so catchy, but at some points it's so rich and almost symphonic. But there's also the other side: it's TOO HAPPY. Really. You hear it too, don't you? This song is a fluffy, sweet, shiny ball of happiness. I mean, how could anybody take this thing seriously? How could ANYONE possibly relate to this? What on Earth were they thinking writing this lyrics and absolutely not being ironic?!
So, after a good amount of listens, a random thought came to me: "what if I could make this song not happy at all? Could it be possible to make this fuckin' fluffy lyrics truly dark and distressing?". But I am a lazy person and before I even started to think about opening any program, I thought also: "wait, someone probably did it already". And here I was, searching for good cover or remix or anything that would suit my fancy. Then guess what? I FOUND IT ❤️❤️❤️
