- I found this INCREDIBLE interview footage featuring my favorite Temptation-Eddie! I hope you enjoy this clip as much as I did. It was a real treat to watch and to see him so humble and caring towards his fans makes me love him even more! R.I.P. Mr. Kendricks, we miss you terribly..... :'-(

Eddie was the man, period! Can we also have some prayers to his buddy Dennis Edwards, who is now critically ill in a Saint Louis hospital! In this clip, Eddie said something very true and that is you can be sad by yourself yet no one wants to sad with you so be happy because you will never know what's going to happen to you! I will always remember that!
He was so smooth when Barbara came over and asked for an autograph. . . Such a beautiful soul.
Unfortunatley, I wasn't even a year old when Eddie passed away. Seeing videos like this makes me wish I could have met him. I remember hearing songs he sang on when I was a kid and loved them all. Now I'm finding out more about him and he is just so awesome. RIP Eddie. Luckily we have footage like this so we can see Eddie. Witnessing your compassion and friendliness on video and also your moving voice in recordings, makes me feel like I really know you Eddie. RIP

You could tell the cancer was eating away at him in this footage, but amazing he acts like nothing is happening. His voice doesn't change during that difficult time either. ( A real life beauty he was.)
I so like his disposition about life. He is mellowing to his closure here. The man had experience at least two serious heartbreaks, laying two best friends to rest. Yet, he smiles.
Just magical. A true pioneer with such a voice.
Eddie have so many fans who love and adore him. I wish someone would write a book about his life. I definitely would buy it.
Not only was Eddie a very handsome man, but by all accounts, he was a very kind and compassionate person. Even though it was said that Otis kept Paul on the payroll during his hardships, it was really Eddie who pushed for it, and when most people had given up on David, Eddie and Dennis were the ones who still believed in him and tried to help him. When Eddie died, he did'nt have anything(financially) but look at these blessings the has left us, his beautiful image and his music, R.I.P
Eddie taught me how to dress and how to carry myself. It brought plenty of women my in direction. Learn young men, you don't need lots of money, wear your pants down and tattoos all over your body. Just study Eddie and his style.
Still missing Eddie so much 😂

I miss and love Eddie. His voice, style and good looks, just perfection. I hope they all know the happiness they gave and still give to us. The best music ever.
I remember when this show aired,it was like saying goodbye!!! David died and then Eddie ,these were great guys!!!RIP
I wish I could of been that lady who got Eddie's autograph-- I can't believe she did'nt ask for a kiss or a hug? I would of hugged him and never let go! I love his kindness and his sweet laugh.

Eddie was real cool and seem down to earth. He wasn't running away from fans saying no autographs please, like stars today. He didn't have no bodyguards. He really appreciated his fans. I like that. I judge a person by the way they treat people, I could care less about their talent. I never heard of Eddie abusing women, so I give him a thumbs up.
amen I knew he was my favorite too bad we never got to meet him. he passed when I was a child :)
I just love this guy.He was my idol growing up and still now.I try to conduct myself the way Eddie did.Whenever I met him he was a real gentleman and very down to earth.Immense naturel talent.Lovely guy.

Such an awesome person and talent that left us way too soon! - I had the privilege of working for him in 80/81 in B'ham as he was just wrapping up the Love Keys album and was doing shows to get back ready for the road. Great guy with a big heart! - We had some great opportunities lined up with Smokey and the Pointer Sisters but it never got off the ground unfortunately, then I was asked to tour with them (Temp's reunion tour in 82) but had moved to Spain.
If not, then he should...another Tempt, besides Paul Williams who deserves an Unsung.

This was beautiful and wholesome especially when that fan came up to Eddie during his interview unfortunately he passed a year before I was born exactly would have loved to meet him

LOL!! What can I say? Eddie was the man and more people need to know about him, his hard work and dedication to his career, and just his overall down-to-earth spirit. God blessed that man with a gift and he needs more recognition for the many contributions he provided to the music industry.

thank u VERY much for postin this hope u post the rest of it. im a young man and was too young to see him do his thing in his prime but i LOVE the music. Eddie was a great temptation and solo artist and still missed and talked bout til this day. RIP brotha and Keep on Truckin'!!

True as he said I met Eddie in 1991 when he toured the UK.He was the first to come out back and meet and greet everyone.He signed an autograph for me that night and had time for everyone there, a very genuine guy very down to earth but a legend .
I love it!!! Thanks for such a great moment! I was only a girl during the Temptations heyday, but I do remember a lot of their songs because of our neighbors and older sisters. I grew up in housing projects, and back then, the neighbors would put the record players outside so us kids could dance and play to the music..can't do that anymore. The first album we had by the Tempts was Gettin Ready. My older sis said that this was the best album cover of all time. Thanks again. Please find more.

OMG!!! What an amazing video... wow WOW!!!... yeah he was an amazing artist. He really was. I loved this video... one of favorites for sure.
With all the wonderful talent of today... I still say these old school singers were clearly as good as it could ever get... I'm talking raw talent and there was many of them... yet, there isn't one person to come along in the last 25 years that could hold a candle to any of them in my opinion.

I'm still upset about how they were treated they didn't get what they deserved but they can't take away their talent to sing beautifully ledgendary ledgends R.I.P u will always be remembered and never ever forgotten

Yea! I think they are still selling the video on their site. I just visited their webpage this past weekend and by the way your story about meeting Eddie was great! You were VERY lucky to have met him in person! I wish I had been a lot older and the opportunity to meet Eddie! Oh, and did you frame his autograph afterwards? Lol.... :-)
He's my favorite to I remember him from when I was 10 but I think he was a solo artist by then. My second favorite is Paul Williams. Thanks for posting this!!

I was always in love with Eddie Kendricks, and most Black women back in the day were too. It was not only because of his voice, it was just something about Eddie that would make you melt. He was handsome, and he had style and charisma, not to mention the way he sang in that falsetto. Love that man!

Otis isn't the only word you hear when it comes to David, and Eddie's story. Their own family has stories of them as well. (No one knows you besides God) like your family does.

Man oh man, i tell you. If Eddie were alive today and had full control over his voice, there is no tenor on the scene that could hang with him (maybe Smokey with his own unique style) . Many, many years ago i was completely blown away by Eddie's rendition of Smokey's "You Can Depend On Me". I knew Eddie was a mellow singer, but i didn't think anyone could sing that song as silky smooth and as sweet as Smokey could. Man, was i wrong. Check it out if you've never heard it before.

yes met him David and Eddie in 1991 when they toured the UK.Met them backstage in May 1991 and spent a bit of time chatting to them and getting autographs.Eddie was a cool guy for sure and was really easy to talk to.Didnt do the superstar thing at all.Dennis was the same and David was David, just loved being the superstar still had time for all us fans all 3 of them.A great night I`ll never forget.Saw them live a number of times on that tour
