Hello Erick, am an avid subscriber and car enthusiast, speaking from a point of view if someone who has driven a TZ G and a TX L,I might not think this is a well deserved TZ G....this is because of the rims, blank switches that should not be present in a top trim prado, lay out of the offroading system controls that is often below the infotainment system, absence of the sunroof,absence of the JBL system present in TZ Gs, reduced controls on the steering wheel.,am speaking because I drive a TZ G that I dont mind bringing in for a comparison....I enjoy your content,keep up the good work

Hello Wokabi i guess something you forgot too is that the Prado with the spare tire at the back has a bigger fuel tank too compared with the one under as it has a smaller one due to the space left for the spare tire under there.

Great videos, guys. I just got a second hand 2011 Prado TX with a 5L engine. Coming from a 4runner with V84.7l, it feels lazy but people tell me it’s a great car. Would like to hear more about the Prado with the 5L diesel engine.

It produces 177ps and 450nm automatic and 420 manual. 2021 onwards produce 204ps and 500nm.

Always a pleasure to log in here. Kindly plz review two cars for me: 1.Nissan Teana JM 230 and the 2.Toyota Grande. I heard the Toyota Grande ie Toyota Mark 2, is the most accomplished toyota of the old mark x version. You will never see one at any garage anywhere in this country.

Tzg should have 18inch alloy wheels and a sunroof is also a must
the spare tyre placement on the rear has an added benefit of an extra fuel tank
Prado Trim levels...TXL1, TXL Diesel, TXL1 V6, TXL2 V6, VX1, TXL 70th ANNV, TXL 3-door, TXL3, and VX Midnight. 9 in total...

prado is not unstable because of body on frame or rear solid live rear axle or even the cog, its unstable because it doesnt have a rear stabilizer bar. if you have driven a car without a rear roll bar you would know

@@destroyerarmor2846 not that too, a TZG is plenty stable, it has a rear roll bar unlike all other variants, The other variants don’t have that that’s why they are so playful in the rear.
I don’t understand your explanation on trim level. Mine is 2016 diesel 2.8. It has all those features of TZG including roof top. The logbook is TXL but on body TX. It use Adblue with two batteries. So is it the probox because it’s marked TX?
Probox is the tx 2700cc petrol

No crawl control, sunroof. Personally I would look at a KAKADU from 2018 facelift

It thought the TZG is a top trim.Why are there some specs buttons blank and not functional(which is a normal suggestion it is not a top spec and the extra functions are in the top specs)?
Toyota knows there are diehards out there who always want to add (call it customise) what is generally availed. So they leave room for them to make it smart and loom original. Prado is one of those enthusiasts car and the dream doesn't stop at buying, it stretches very far.

Amazing car.There is a discussion going around that the prado with the spare tyre attached to the tail gate has a large fuel reserver compared to the one attached under kindly clarify on that.
This is true, the rear mounted spare wheel provides room for the subtank hence increasing fuel capacity. The under-mounted spare wheel eats into the fuel tank hence decreasing fuel capacity. Another difference is the rear hatch on top of the boot door in prado with under-mounted spare wheel. This is not available in those with rear mounted spare wheel. The hatch is important especially when you have a fully loaded boot because it can be opened separately to secure stuff before opening the whole door. I hope that helps.
The spare tyre represents a 60 ltrs of reserve tank so if it’s mounted on the door you have 160 liters of fuel and that is for the VX L model only

Interesting Fantastic Review from the one and only Erick with CK and the awesome @carnversations Team. Toyota Prados are just the fine line of Toyotas and they are amazing SUVs though if l were to buy a Prado l would go for the 4.0L V6 petrol head because of the amazing Power, crazy acceleration, speed and reliability. Yes it chunks fuel like no tomorrow😂 but l dont think fuel economy will be an issue for any prado owner if you will be spending over 7M. However the Diesel heads Toyota prados are still the King of the Road here in Kenya.

The 0-100 doesn't make sense in diesel vehicle, that prado is very fast after drivering like 1hr for engine to heat up and also when in motion
