- Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Matthew Wolff and Tommy Fleetwood show off their flop shot prowess in this Team TaylorMade challenge. Using the all-new MG Hi-Toe RAW wedge and TP5/TP5x golf balls, the squad has some fun seeing who could clear the wall from the closest distance.

Collin seems to understand the science a little more than most. He pays attention to every golfer and learns something from them. There was one TM video where he was picking Tiger’s brain while everyone else was chatting. He’s not a dummy.

If I did this I’d end up with a concussion because the ball would come back and hit me in the head

I love these challenges. Wish there was a resurgence of mini golf parks in our country. They all disappeared. This is a nice exercise for alternative courses in such a park. :)
I love that they are still experimenting and learning. Like chess… it just gets more complicated the better you get. There’s no question of swing it’s where on the club and angle of attack …
i don't even golf really, but when buddy chimes in and the banter starts it was actually quite educational . it'll prob be a month before i swing a club but maybe i'll remember part of some of this

Collin made a point at the end that the higher bounce actually helped on the flop and Ive found that true as well despite common wisdom. I think on that type of grass the bounce helps slide under the ball and get it up. Unless youre playing a super tight lie, I dont think u need low bounce

Drunken BBQ's usually ended up with getting the 64 degree Cleveland out, laying it flat and trying to flip the ball over my house. You had to be 2 big paces away and in front of my kitchen window. Never smashed it with a ball but it did get broken by a mate who got the ball over the house, turned around in celebration, dropped the wedge and it bounced up through the glass!
