Whenever a fire alarm sounds you imediatly exit the building to a safe distance/area regardless whether you see fire or smell smoke ! It is only safe to go back inside only when the fire department tells you that it is safe to do so ! Be safe !
The fire alarms were odd. I was in a hotel in NYC, the fire alarm went off around 2 am, it scared the crap out of me, voice on the PA said to was a false alarm. An hour later it went off again, another false alarm. Needless to say, It was hard to go back to sleep. If the paranormal triggered the alarms in your hotel, what would be the spirits end game? To frighten or agitate you, that worked. To get you to leave, the spirits failed on that one. The cat balls were interesting because there was a sequence to them going off. The top one started and ended a split second before the one below. "No" was a direct response to your question, Amy, which was cool to hear.
I thought the spirit box was fascinating and then when you said can you give me a clear word/sign or I'm shutting this off and the catball lit up.That was super cool.Spirits that appear to walk through walls or standing in odd places may be a residual haunting where the building has changed but their still on that old loop walking the old building.Can't wait for part 2!
Spirit boxes are the most annoying thing next to those boxes that make noise..I believe more so in asking questions and recording silence and listening for a response. Spirit box is the reasons I HATE paranormal vids now. Especially when they use a .99 phone app to do it.

The paranormal investigation of the grand hotel is really wonderful because the spirit to whom Amy and Jared interacted had given many several evidences like "strangled", "we couldn't run and jump off". Although the spirit who spoke these words is very active.👻👻

Great invest good stair activity. When you replay the part were you heard drama it sound more like trauma to me.
the cat balls in the stairs were interesting, but since the building is old (and creaky, i assume) it could be because of your movement “shaking up” the building, which the cat balls are picking up

I know Covid restrictions are a pain, but some Qld sites like Boggo Rd, Newstead House, The Commiserait Building, Brisbane Arcade (famous for the Mayne family and associated murders) and then you can have a break out at Stradbroke Island, lots of history and ghost legends there, and if nothing else you can enjoy the area and see all the koalas that live there! Stay safe, love your work and the way you keep everything so real, the history and research you do on everything is what makes you both the best.
Just great that you are getting to investigate the Grand hotel. So cool to see these old hotels still n use today. I recon the spirits were setting off that fire alarm. Pretty cool responses to your questions and there were about three different accent voices I heard on the spirit box. Part two is going to be good! Thanks for this investigation, cheers

When you asked of anyone was there at the top of the stairs and the ball of light went off was awesome! There was a tap,but it did sound like it was upstairs in the room with the two lounge chairs. The tap on the stairs case was so loud,you both got a lot of amazing evidence! When the GhostTube app said Strangle and Logan was creepy too. I did hear a click when you both were sitting on the sofa and a noise after you were speaking. The place gives off a very creepy vibe. Visiting there wouldn't be boring that's for sure! Orbs going by the staircase. I thought it was creepy also when you asked them to tell you their name,and they wouldn't. Woah !!! When they said Rick's up there,I was like not sire of I would want to see or hear Rick,bit curiosity would get the better of me! Lol. 😂🤪👻 When it said to lazy,I was like how rude!! Lol. ..no one ever asks the spirits what year it is..... time might actually stand still in a sense...I would love for others the ask the spirits what year is it.... and whether they answer or not, let them know the year and month...
I hope there comes a time where people can be in a very haunted location and stay there for a year or more and they will just switch out people every 12 hours. Or have a crew of people. Maybe have one crew investigating, and the other crew is sleeping. And they just keep switching up every 12 hours.

That sound from the stair case though... Could it just be wood snapping back? I used to live in an old 18th cent house and that house moved all the time without any supernatural causes. That's just how old wood behaves.

I’m in Mount Gambier, I’ve been past that place many times but never been inside, I didn’t even know the history of the place until now. Great video guys! The Jens hotel in Mount Gambier is apparently haunted and Colhurst house as well.
I’m not sure if it’s the same in Australia but here in the US, our fire systems are equipped to go off if a sensor detects a failure in some portion of the system. I work in a very old and historic hospital, we’re undergoing renovations including plumbing. The water pressure dropped at about 21:00, so no workers were even there to mess with the plumbing, but it set off the fire alarm. The plumbing needs to maintain constant pressure to ensure that the water will reach ALL the sprinklers. The same goes with electricity, if one sensor set it off and the other didn’t, there may be a disruption in the electricity, thus setting off the alarm in a “hey, something isn’t right!” type fashion. There’s a billion natural reasons why that fire alarm could have been tripped.
This is NOT discounting the haunting portion of the story, just a rational explanation of fire systems.
*Of note, my brother is a 20 veteran firefighter and we’d had a laugh at my fire alarm experience while at work. He explained all the system failures that could have set it off. It was so loud and sudden it almost made me a patient in my own hospital!

One thing i did notice almost everytime the shot cut back to the SLS cam.. i noticed an Orb each time except the last one where two of the cat balls were lighting up! Ty guys!

@ 25:43 you hear a voice which is quoted as saying “Ricks up there” but I believe it actually says “Ricks upset”. Which would make much more sense with the questions that follow. They talk about an old man being upstairs and him being “grumpy” etc etc. Just thought I’d point that out😉

Have been to Millicent, but never to this hotel. Our fire alarm has been going for no apparent reason in the middle of the night.
I thought it was paranormal at first.

ive worked maintenance in a few hotels and oval cricket grounds all alarms work on zones it was probaby a fault with a smoke or heat head there very sensitive ....staff member who turned off alarm might have hit mute button (mutes for five mins usualy ) instead of reset but hey who knows ive seen and herd some pretty strange stuff over the years
ide say those smoke heads are well overdue replacing thay do have a shelf life expensive job lol

Hi guys, I downloaded your spirit box app a couple of weeks ago. I had intended to use it to talk to someone dear to me whom I lost several years ago. It was the anniversary of his death. I dont know for how long I was using it, but I know it wasn't long before it talked on 3 separate occasions. I know how you've mentioned sometimes its the moving magnetic field, and maybe that was it, but im choosing to believe it was the person I lost. So thank you for creating the app, and thank you for not just assuming every tiny thing that happens is something "SpOoKy". It makes it easier to believe it could be something if you're a skeptic.

Thankfully it was nothing to worry about, but PLEASE if a fire alarm goes off anywhere you are, evacuate until its been fully checked out. It could be wiring in the roof or walls has set it off. There isn't always a smell at first or noticeable smoke & you don't want to get trapped just coz its looks & smells ok, fires can be unpredictable & extremely fast.
BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.

Hi guys. Hello from Iowa USA. The smoke detector that went off could need to be cleaned. Excessive dust, vapor or aerosol can also set off smoke detectors. The fire panel should have a silence alarm button on it. Or the Reset can be pushed on the panel, as long as the active device isn't still in alarm. Take care.

There were a lot of orbs not sure if it was dust or bugs. Liked the car balls lighting up on the stairs through out the video. Very good video can not wait till the second video.
