Everybody wants the Native aesthetic, but doesn't want to deal with the actual struggle and pain of First Nations, historical and present day. We need more actual indigenous artists like this.

We need all humans, together, as a species!! .. indigenous people and their culture, are dying and will continue to die. This is both sad and a necessary part of reality... music like this, keeps the ancient culture alive, for a little bit longer. Nothing more. But, I agree, we need more of it.. because it's beautiful.

Everyone is Native. Every person on earth is native to a place, even if they have moved to another land. If a Cree person moves to France, is that person no longer native? A person from China is native. A person from Spain is Native and yes...even a shockingly white person from Scotland is Native. To classify others or yourself as other than everyone else simply builds separation and offers the close-minded a chance to view others as less than themselves or even more than themselves.

my grandfather who was full blood sisseton Dakota and I would travel cross country. Along the travels he would play his porcupine tape cassette very loud. When we would pull into a town to gas up he would leave the radio on loud, get out of the truck and everyone would look at us. At the end of the trip I ask why he never turn the music down and his reply was he wanted them who looked to remember We ( natives) still exist in our own land.

Too many white people think about native Americans like this, that they are a beautiful people with a beautiful culture.. i totally understand you mean well, I do. But by calling them beautiful, great, anything, you’re treating them as lessers. One culture or race of people should Never talk about another like that, I know you aren’t trying to be racist, but their culture isn’t for you, or for you to look at and deem beautiful, it was a way of life not for show. I also hear white people saying “I knew a Native American man, he was a great man” .. another example of racism, even though you don’t think your being racist you are because he in all likelyhood isn’t a “great” man he’s just a regular dude just like you are. And if he tosses his can of coke in the recycling and your talking that as a sign that he’s in tune and respecting his Mother Earth than you are quite the simpleton. You might think my example is funny, but Really. Why are you saying he’s a great man?? I bet he literally was just a regular nice enough guy, and your taking that as something else, instead of just being normal and genuinely nice to him you’re unknowingly isolating him by treating everything he does as “Native”

Kind of reminded me when they finally pulled down the statue of Edward Cornwallis a couple years ago in Halifax, due to the fact that the made the "scalping proclamation" that put bounties on the heads of innocent First Nation people who were living on their land, and paid anyone who would return a scalp of said innocent people's heads - all just to get them off our lands, so they could build their settlement by either killing us, or driving us out of our home.
It put a smile on my face to hear that statue get torn down. It may not serve justice for all the crimes the colonizers have done to our people for generations, but at least people will remember Edward Cornwallis as nothing but a monster.

So you try to convince people that every brain is the same and there isn't soecial brain is somehow not different because then they won't know if someone is broadcasting in their brain, a reason to say if he knows then you should too but that is not the case for many reasons so you try to uber broadcast to change the system so you can convince people your not soon something that you are for the reason of trying to control people and design society with a ore determined outcome because you are out of touch with the fact that if you do not know when and and all the other info in your death you have no control. The fmri will show a different system and will negate your argument.

I just recently saw The Killers of the Flower Moon, and this song was used in the trailer... I'm proud to have .006 Native in me, and I'm not saying which Native I am, cause you people wouldn't believe me anyhow... But I'm proud to be Canadian, and I love The Halluci Nation... May the Natives live proud and free!!!

More people need to be like you. Imagine how many people in the Americas have a fraction of a percentage of a tribe, but act culturally like white or black or anything but native. Imagine if all of those people woke up to their heritage and realized they are not in any other land but the land of their indigenous ancestors. The American Indian nation would be strong once again. Personally I’m just a hair above 40% but i want to see people with a point of a point like you to embrace and stand up as tribal peoples. We number enough that we could take this country back, and yours. More natives than ever as our numbers have been genetically scattered.

I wish that the First Nations and the Native American culture would be portrayed in the media in such a powerful way instead of solely the negative things. The Native Americans should be celebrated a lot more. I'm Canadian and our history courses barely talked about the First Nations until I reached college and my North American History and Culture (such a course exists.) talked to us about the struggles the First Nations face, but she also talked to us about the culture. One of my all-time favorite poet, thanks to this course, is a Native American. (Of course, I am very supportive of Native Americans' rights, but I also want them to have good exposure and not just spotlight about them protesting. I want both the protest and the cultural impact/manifestation)
Also, I forgot which song our teacher played, but it brought us to tears (None of us were Native American. I'm Black with mixed ancestry born from immigrant parents for example)
Sorry, English isn't my first language. I do not wish to come out as offensive.
