It was our first gig and me and my friend had travelled 100 miles to London on a whim and no tickets to see the concert. Found a ticket scout near the concert venue and bought tickets to get in. The concert we thought was brilliant, the set was interesting, and the performance was entertaining and tight, and the band played really well, and looked like they were enjoying themselves. Joey was the front man and worked the crowd and it was thoroughly enjoyable. We ended up missing our train home afterwards and had to walk streets until tube station opened again the next morning, to get back home.
Brilliant story Becky! I was born in 87 and my uncle got me into Europe when I was 4. He lent me this video on VHS and this is a very nostalgic film for me. I wish I was there at this concert but obviously it was just before I was born. I kind of made up for it when I went to see Europe play at the roundhouse in London in 2016 for the 30th anniversary of the final countdown. Wish they played this song though! Thank you for sharing your story!
