you have to take the good with the bad and you have to be able to keep the ball rolling. when you see how far women have come in business then it is time to give the respect that is due to them. most women break due to the fact of being too emotional but to understand how they move is totally different then what you expect. listen. learn. lead. that is what I live by. you can't take on a role if you are always behind the crowd.

    Hi
I personally think that the lack of male support for female leadership in the organization is also an important reason for hindering women from becoming leaders. There are many forms of male support for female leadership. The survey shows that women leaders generally feel that they must change their behavior to avoid giving men a sense of crisis, and that the acceptable range of behavior is much narrower than that of men. This means that no matter whether the male adopts a decisive or cooperative behavior, everyone can accept it, and women can only adopt a cooperative behavior. Women do not interfere with gender factors when assessing the performance of others, but men tend to positively evaluate men and negatively evaluate women.

The problem is most women perceive being powerful as treating their subordinates like second-class citizens and wonder why they are not respected. Leadership and respect is gained by reciprocity not brute force.

Men do that too. Being a condescending idiot happens with all genders, it isn’t assigned to one. And besides, the video isn’t about that anyway.

A good Leader, wants that others around to become better and is preparing and investing into the next generation. The Military way depends on commands, because it is impossible other way. You can not leave 1 000 000 people to do what they like and be creative all the time, because you simply don't know their abilities. And they would surely die in the battlefield. So this example is really bad. The Ultimate Leadership does not end with 1 generation. If so, no matter if it was led by male or female it was a wrong leadership.

I loved Dame Stephanie Shirley opinion. There are different ways to lead. Personally i don't like to copy/paste men attitude while leading. I don't like to be bossy, i find that most ppl react negatively to a bossy woman but if you lead by example and lend them your vision of where things need to go and ask them for their input on how this could be achieved, you still can be soft and understanding, a bit firmer when needed and with some tough love if necessary. I suppose for me being a bit motherish seems to work better and that is something that comes naturally to me. So instead of bossing ppl around i work WITH them, showing them respect and listening, really listening to what they have to say, even when i know from minute one that their way is wrong. They need more time to realize it and i give them that time when possible. It takes maybe more effort but you get long term good relations that make things move quicker on the long run.

Lousia Nicolaidou Pah, LEADERSHIP IS NOT BEING SOFT AND MUSHY!!!!
BEING A STRONG LEADER MEANS you need to be hard enough to teach and listen half way, what I'm saying is.... Soft and mushy leaders get stepped upon!!!
Step it up and tell them, not boss them.
Have enough force to strike a little fear and them knowing a consequence come if they mess up tragically!!!!
