There are certain pieces of music that cannot be easily interpreted by other great guitarists, and you are a great musician, but noone can play this better than David Gilmore in my opinion, purposefully lyrical, fluid, calm and precise. Perfection personified.

Absolute nonsense. Any piece of music can be interpreted by anyone with reasonable skill. If I wanted to hear an exact fucking copy, I'd listen to the original. But implying that no one should try, or could never have their own spin on it is asinine.

Incredible, yet again. I must say David Gilmour's voice is so hard to replicate. However you absolutely nail his guitar phrasing. Watching you bend those strings I coukd have sworn those were David's hands. Amazing.
The older I get the farther King David stands out to me. The best voice, the best style in all of rock. In my humblest opinion.

Gilmour could really bend those notes however he pleased. While not the most technical, they flowed so well and really complimented the music. There was a unique art to his style and while 'basic' it's truly beautiful. His guitar fit in with the band and made their music as a whole, greater than the sum of its parts.

Very few people can come close to David Gilmour’s fret work. You nailed it, my friend. Dave Mustaine once said “Gilmour can do more with one note than most people can do with the whole neck”.
