Rothbury 2009 changed my life. It was a time when the electronic & jam world fully joined together. When they cancelled the festival in 2010, I cried. How could they take this magical fantasy land away from us?? When String Cheese & Co brought the festival back in 2011, I also cried... this time tears of pure elation. I've bought EF tickets for friends because I just knew they "had to go". I'm no longer obsessed as I once was, having used to always try to slip "Electric Forest" into any conversation. Now it's just part of my existence. This will be my 8th time and every year they always somehow top the last. 2022 is gonna be somethin real special. ❤️
I sometimes wish I hadn't turned my nose up when it changed hands. 08 and 09 Rothbury was such a transformative phase in my life. Didn't return till 2019, but a decade away made me realize the legacy evolved into something even more amazing!!
Changed my life as well. Found the love of my life and haven't missed an event there yet. Double win.

I feel u so much on the heartbreak of 2010. The 1st Rothbury was festival perfect 🥰 best vibes ever! Then it was almost gone due to bankruptcy. Then Rothbury came back! So happy our festival was saved! And it's in our state! We're in Detroit. When it became Electric Forest saved by String Cheese 🧀 🙌 😍💘💯 & Insomniac in 2011 was not the same as Rothbury as far as the strong efforts to protect the earth & recycling, & yes some stuff was different like less jambands, but it was still THE BEST FESTIVAL out there!! Its a Magical place. I was forever grateful it was saved🙏✝️🎉🎆So many happy musical memories 💓 We bought tix as always every year, but in June 2018 my mom was diagnosed with Lung cancer stage 3b. 💔 I didn't know what was going to happen so I told Bill to either go solo, or sell both tix. We had 2nd weekend. He didn't go without me💞 🏆
Tbh - I was not happy about splitting the weekends 😕 The next year it would be his mom that was losing her battle with breast cancer. We again missed our 2nd Electric Forest.
Fun facts: I actually got my picture taken Rothbury 2009 dancing 💃 at the rail that Thursdays for Perpetual Groove & put in the Detroit News & Detroit Free Press the 4th of July paper. The picture on the website of someone's hand with a bubble gun & wearing a hat with all these circles that look like bubbles is actually me!! It's a Montreal Exposes hat but the design makes it look like the letters DB next to each other (for Disco Biscuits). The Double JJ Ranch & Electric Forest my happy place. It is our home & our family. It is where my favorite genres of music all come together ❤ 😌 💕 I scattered some of my friend's ashes there & sprinkled some in the reincarnation garden. String Cheese Saturday night madness is THE BEST TIME! I'm crying typing this. U just have to come experience it, & join the fam. OH BTW the 1st year at Rothbury, we were actually part of the group of people going around the forest & screaming with Carl's family looking for him. It grew into a group & that's why u always hear people yelling CARL!!! LOL. no one knows if Carl was ever found. Lol. PLUR miss u Forest fam 🫂🙏💖💝💜💚💛🧡❤❣
I only watch this once a year in June before Forest starts. It makes it a special occasion to watch this and get ready to go back to the Forest ⚡️🌲

Thank you for allowing me to feel real love and magic in the world. This year was my 7th in the Forest and I'll be back every year for as long as I live. Can't wait to show my kids the magic in a couple years.

Thank you thank you thank you Forest Fam!! My first forest was 2015, and haven’t missed one yet, well besides the “Covid Years” lol my wife and I actually got married in the Forest in 2018, nothing like getting married and having 40,000 best men and brides maids. Lol Electric Forest CHANGED MY LIFE in 2015, and as we were pulling off the property to head back to Tennessee I began to cry, but not dad tears but happy tears. You see my eyes were opened to how human interaction should be, there were over 30,000 people there from all different walks of life, and you know what, we all got along with each other, there is no hostility in the air at all. Electric Forest is a magical place, it’s the only place where The color of ones skin, ones financial status, ones beliefs are all set aside once you step foot onto the property, everyone is equal. Now if the world on the outside of the gates could just grasp the #ForestFamVibes the world would be a much better place!

I grew up in chicago and never had any exposure to a community like forest. When I went my first time in 2014 it changed my life it sent my on a healing path. I learned that if a place has enough love magic will happen. Everyone has their forest magic stories and those stories are what opened my eyes to what society could be like if we all came from a place of love. Thank you forest for showing thing brown kid from the city that I am loved and there are safe spaces that are in other planets that exist!

My first time there I was working with Ticas Tacos, I came with only money for gas, I remember walking around with friends and I said I wish I had some chapstick bc my lips were burnt af, not too long after that I found one of those tiny houses and there was a brand new chapstick and some other little gifts. This place changed my life. 2018 was my first music festival and electric forest set the bar super high. I wish everyone could experience the atmosphere at E.F. Everybody is so nice, giving, happy and respectful.

Eforest sincerely changed my life, I found myself and my self worth. The feeling doesn’t leave when you leave because you are now a family with every single person you met. Before eforest I was lost and mean and negative, I didn’t get that it was possible to just live and not care. After my first eforest almost every person I knew said I changed, I was just so happy all the time and still am. It tought me to live free

the ring story!!! reminded me of a story about a bracelet🤍 i had jUst been given a bracelet .. and then i go over to dance and see this girl, she was feelin it, looked at the guy she was with, and he just looked back with dissatisfaction… i saw the light leave her eyes😔 and couldn’t help but blurt out “you’re beautiful!” i though, wait, the bracelet just gifted to me matches her outfit perfectly..this was meant to be.. and so i passed on the bracelet. the life returned to her and she was ecstatic❤️🔥 she remembered her worth
The forest is truly magical. People think oh "it's just a rave in the woods" bunch of people listening to techno tripping or rolling ballls..That's only half the truth. If you don't believe in magic, you will by Monday after a weekend in the forest. The trading post story at 7:00 is so real. We had so many situations throughout the weekend which were just unexplainable or against all odds type deals. The first provides.

Rothbury '09 was my first festival, I am astonished at the growth and development this production has gone through to be where it is now. Thank you for never giving up.

I luckily attended Rothbury when it first started in 08 & 09 so experiencing the electric forest before anyone could have had a clue what a unique place we were about too walk into! Not knowing was totally a mind blowing and life changing connection like nothing else which everyone should experience once in their life.
This was so incredibly well done. 2022 will be my first forest and just by watching this, I can tell that this will be a very different experience from all the other festivals I’ve been to. See you all soon
