Thanks for watching, everybody! For those of us who are less horn-inclined I’ll be releasing a video on the basics and benefits of a single vs. double horn very shortly!

Single F horns fucking rock. You do have to work harder but it’s so worth it.

I've just been looking for a single horn. Great job.

Hey Sam! Have you ever played a Wessex Tubas horn? I got a double to learn on about a month ago and I think it’s fantastic. I loved it so much that I bought a cornet from them and am eyeing a BBb tuba from them as well. I think they’re great quality for their price but was wondering if you know about any issues they might have. I’ve been a trombonist for 16 years so I have plenty of experience with brass, but not really with valved brass instruments

I get asked about Wessex very frequently, but unfortunately I've never once gotten to play one of their instruments. My main suspicion would be the plating and metal quality. A lot of Chinese-made horns play well, but don't stand up well to typical bumps and bruises as something like this older King would. The thinner metal on many Chinese brass also can create a weaker or tinnier sound as a result. Sounds like you've had good experiences with Wessex, though!
