The Guardian spared the D-class. The D-class shook his head in as if affirming something, he was probably told to turn back & the D-class assented & turn around. So he was spared by the Guardian. When the Guardian sensed & saw what transpired, he probably thought: "I spared his life! Who are you to take it away?"
Scp 001: me sparing the d class all for nothing!
the affirming is because 001 mentally tells anyone who approaches "forget" this causes all subjects to just turn around and walk away with no memory of what happened

@@omerkaplan9522 MTF don’t deal with escaped d-class, they are either field agents or facility guards. MTF are only used for emergencies, while an escaped d-class is not.

D-class 2012-12: If I may, I do recall a certain someone recruiting D-class personnel for a couple of "tests". One involved something with the gate guardian and the other was testing modifications on a chainsaw cannon.

The D-Class was just going to keep on walking, not even actually approaching the gate, thus he would be safe. But the Troopers killed him for getting too close to the gate. They are trained to carryout their orders almost like robots at times even to disregard known consequences or carrying those orders out... Like T'ing off an angel who will kill you in a heartbeat.
Scp-001 (Uriel) saw the killing of the D-Class who only wanted to pass by not enter the gate as murder. This since the troopers were going to force the D-Class to approach SCP-001 as if to pass through the gate. The D-Class was simply fleeing for his life. Passing so close to SCP-001 was effectively asking the angel to protect him in his passing by.
SCP-001 avenged the D-Class dropping his sword a mere 10feet (3m) nuking the area.
Nahhhhhhh, you do understand why they were brought to be test subjects in the first place? They committed crimes so great that they landed the death sentence.

It is NOT a question of guilt or innocence. Only what happened at that place and time.
Besides it turns out most D-Class are NOT death row inmates. They can be volunteers (That would be one interesting questionnaire). I would think at some point the SCP Foundation would limit the people sent in contact with SCP-001 to be highly religious people of some type and degree.
All that and truthfully we do not NOT know the specifics for the D-Class. But from what was shown, the D-Class was simply trying to get away, not approach the gate, and just keep going.

It would have obliterated the D-class if the guy would continue despite the warning and even partial hypnosis. The Gate Guardian doesn't take kindly for some reason to people being killed while turning back due to his command however.

So I thought the Gate Guardian was set up near the intersection of the Tigris and Euphrates river which I don't think has a forest there... The model looks pretty cool (is it me or does that model look like an Angel straight out of Diablo?). Also it doesn't move unless being attacked in which it will reflect any attack back.

@@prayforme4777 actually theres evidence (it doesnt prove it) but theres a decent amount of evidence that shows that the gate guardian might actaully be fake and is a demon pretending to be Uriel (most evidence is from the 682 fight stuff)

@@Migolcow While The Gate Guardian didn't kill 682, 682 didn't seem to attack or challenge him other than verbally and didn't seem to adapt to the attacks.
@@dogking44 343 is the only one who could defeat 001. Maybe Jordan’s Plague Doctor (Death’s Hand) could challenge him but I doubt it.

Yeah SCP-001 is a divine being, so in his eyes what they did after he received a direct command from a divine being, not to mention they spilled in his eyes Innocent blood on sacred ground, and that's an act punishable by death apparently.

I always thought his sword was a launched targeted weapon, kind of like Gil in FGO. There's the part where they get drones from many angles to approach him and he simultaneously shoots them all down as if having multiple swords.
if SCP were real we all would not exist by now
I thought of it more as freezing the drones in place, then swinging as fast of an anime character, and then the drones slowly splitting in half.

@@Lipe326 but if you look at this from a Biblical perspective, literally all arrows point to Uriel- flaming sword, angel, guarding Eden, etc.
I wonder why the Guardian didn't warn them all away (telepathically) before *any* of them got that close. The D-Class & any of the MTF Squad would have heard 001's inner voice say (usually) "Leave" or "Forget" as soon as they first see it. This is why any SCP personnel normally stay back 10km (or more) from it. There are very few entities (no known humans) that can disobey 001's command & of those entities that continue to approach the Guardian won't even seem to move at all before the approaching entity is struck (& most likely obliterated).

Fun fact, Scp 001 is originally known as Uriel, but they changed it to Gate Guardian.

I feel like that D-Class is a innocent man. Who got in jail because of some false allegations and put into prison but some corrupt shmucks. Thats why the Gate Guardian seemed angered at the MTF who fired at an innocent young man. (This is what I think)

I'm new to the SCP community (binging over the course of a week or so) and this SCP reminds me of a Scripture in the Bible. It states, "So he [ God] drove the man out, and he posted at the east of the garden of Eden the mighty cherub with a flaming blade of a sword that was turning continuously to guard the way to the tree of life." -Genesis 324. It also states the angel is located at the Euphrates river, where I believe the Gate Guardian was located too.
I mean, the Gate Guardian was mentioned to be Archangel Uriel. Or at least a pretender of him.

It is possible to have a strong will to survive, perhaps developing camouflage skills to hide from other dangerous creatures, although again this is not confirmed.
