  • Downtown Los Angeles has the best fashion district in the country! There are blocks of great fabric and trim stores, carrying every type of knit and woven fabric you can think of. Sequins, wools, cotton-blends, lace, you name it. In this video I will take you on a brief exploration of this great DTLA neighborhood.

    I also love that first store! They have tons of fabrics that are also .49 cents a yard!!!!!

    Hi!! Im customizing my daughter's solo costume for dance and im wondering where the best place to look for appliques and flowy mesh would be.. Ive been watching youtube videos of the Fashion District and im sure my anxiety would work against my patience....

      Go to Maple Street in between 8th and 9th. There's also a huge applique store on the northwest corner of San Pedro and 9th. Sorry I can't give you names and for the late reply.

      If you're in downtown L.A. it's the whole area between 8th/9th and Maple down to San Pedro. Most of the trim stores are on Maple and then there's a couple toward San Pedro on 9th. Fabric stores are everywhere.
