Whoa that Happy Wanderer sounds to be a real sickener. 150km with 50kg hanging off your back. Fark that.
Over 5 days.
Thank you so much for this video! I've been contemplating of joining the Australian army and going all the way through to special forces, but I'm still not quite hooked since it is a pretty tough decision to make. I am confident I could complete the courses, and am well aware that I still really need to do more improving, not just physically, but mentally too. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
@callum Innis will do.
Hope you don’t end up with the egg heads...
Those type of guys who kill unarmed Civis for no reason.
@@BenjaminIce2003 I hope not too :)

I hope you don’t think of me as that typical anti military asshole.
I support SF guys but the way the 3rd Squadron SASR handle OP in foreign soils specially Afghanistan is unprofessional.
I wish you best of luck and watch your six.
Btw join whatever force you think you fit in properly and have the knowledge of.
Yeah sasr have been getting a bad rep and have done some pretty questionable stuff. Me personally I like the commandos better, they're no Angel's but they dont seem to be in scandals after scandals. Also I've always thought of them as cooler and get to do more upfront combat explosive and loud stuff. Sasr seems more like covert stealth intelligence gathering type of stuff
The sasr aren’t measured against one another during selection. There’s a preset standard to be achieved and they don’t tolerate lowering the standard to have candidates pass the course. They’d rather have no one pass the course than lower the standards to let people in. That’s what sets them apart from the others.
2nd commando regiment on the other hand measure candidates against each other for selection, then after that they’re trained to a standard set by the regiment. Failure to achieve and maintain said standard means discharge from the regiment.
They want the blokes with ‘true grit’ 😁
he's a brit and they aren't fully cluey.
I was a nationally ranked 400m track athlete and Air Force pilot. Ive done the Combat Survival Course and a similar 5 day course to Lucky Dip. Even though I was very fit, at one stage the 5 day course broke me and I was considering quitting (but somehow dragged myself through seeing my mates battling on)
All I can say about these Special Forces guys is they are just amazing! Im so, so impressed by these guys and their achievements I consider them as some of the most incredible humans to walk the earth. No-one (outside of war itself) gets tested like these guy and any ignorant civilian who dares to criticize these remarkable men makes me literally furious!
incredible maniacs. No sane person would want this job
How to Join the SASR
- Learn to keep your mouth shut.
- Don't be an activist.
- Don't talk to the media... ever.
- Don't talk to DFAT.
- Don't talk to 2nd Cdo.
- Secure all media and documents in regards to operations.
- Don't trust anyone, even people that call them selves Australian.
- Learn to keep your mouth shut.
Why dont you talk to the 2nd Commando Regiment?
@@azdog4375 same applies to all SOG
100%
@Az dog because they do different shit. Commandos are hardcore motherfuckers that get shit done and the sasr gather information.
5 Cases in front of the Federal Court and the Unit is about to be reformed. Do go on 🤣
Great video! Will you be making one on the SRR?
I'm struggling to find information about the SRR but if i can find enough sources then there will 100% be a video on them:)
SRR? Is that the British Special Reconnaissance Regiment, formerly known as 14 Int?
Yeah it is :)
Holy shit!
Make a how to get into KSK (Kommando Spezialkräfte)
Is on the list and ill try and do it asap
22 SAS. SASR. NZSAS. Now,there's a force to be reckoned with. The three of them together would be absolutely deadly as much as they are in their own right. One thing they all have in common,is every flag has the Union Jack on it,they all speak a common language, and are all British in one way or another, with the exception of the few aboriginal and Maoris etc. But natives are needed just as much with the knowledge they know. 🏴🇮🇪🏴🏴🇬🇧🇳🇿🇭🇲 "WHO DARES WINS"
What dreams are made of
Would you do one on 1 para it’s different to the normal parachute regiment as it’s part of the special forces support group
Can do :)
So you can just go apply for selection even if you don't have a year of experience in the regular units?
Have you found the answer?
Yes you can but they do prefer that u have completed your orginal course and 2 year in that area
I saw these men train as a kid. I tried to join(The A.D.F) as a combat engineer. they said one of my eyes isn't good enough. Well, I shot hundreds of rabbits/goats/pigs with my good eye. The rules are too harsh. I've studied/ trained in mma but still couldn't join. They must be phyco killers.
Do not forget 14 INT.
sooo how long would this all take?
Well, considering you have to be infantry proficient, I would say ~3 years from when you hit kapooka, and that's if you are flying through it, most would be a bit longer
what is the age limit to join sas?
There is no just have to be in the military
How do I join East TAG?
Commandos or become a clearance diver and do the appropriate courses to bridge in.
@@getstuffed2391 thank you!
I am a little confused, is the commando elite force different to the SASR?
yeah mate, they're different special forces units
Yes... they are a different unit mate... SASR are typically a 4 to 6 man team behind enemy lines, focused more on reconnaissance. Kinda like Navy Seals. Commando's are a bigger unit in numbers in the field... but with much the same set of skills.
Main difference is you know the commandos are attacking you the sas your already dead
Arent they disbanded? I hope not
I still want to join them
Being restructured and reformed as we speak.
The SASR is not disbanded. It is made of a mumber of Sabre Squadrons. 2 SQN was "disbanded" and struck off the Order of Battle. SASR is still going.
See if you can get info on 4 SASR
XD, the whole point is that there is no info
@@tombreen5685 Yep, good point.
What is the age criteria bro
None
20km carrying 30kg in 3 hours
Mate, this video is highly inaccurate
Why is that?
