      Indeed, if only the empire held together to the 21st century. Back then the general idea was to exploit the poor of those nations. These days its all about helping them. Imagine what could have been done with all that wealth. Famine in African nations completely gone and modern civilization taking over, now that Id like to see.

    Very cool! Couple of suggestions for a new version, if you choose to make one:
    1) As others have suggested, having the date in the corner would be a nice touch.
    2) Precolonial Africa actually had kingdoms, states and empires. Naturally every minor tribe can't be depicted, but some of the bigger ones shouldn't go unnoticed. Mali, for example.

      Bah, one more fool hating Soviets with no objectiveness in her head. You always forget about how the October Revolution made western governments arrange socialistic reforms in order to make lives of ordinary people better. Labour parties appeared worldwide because people were fed with living like animals. "Hands Off Russia" - a small part of that movement as it is known to us.
      Though actually I think communists were too cruel while making their mad changes. Human life meant nothing to them. Russia was hurt by them far more serious than any country else.

    • @dudebro765
      @dudebro765 Před 9 lety +17

      o.o What should I start with?.
      Wow, I'm so sorry for hating the Soviets who _ahem_ destroyed and caged a lot of nations and people and scarred countries for decades to follow. I'm sorry for remembering the Communist times and how people starved and died of hunger back them.
      How dare I not think of the _poor, poor Russians_ before thinking about my family?
      If you want to tell me I should even remotely accept the URSS as a good thing, *bring it on*. If you think I shouldn't hate that system, come on. I will fight you on this.
      You think that the russians did treat people like objects, and yet you scold me for shivering at the memory of the SU.
      By no means do I hate the Russians as individuals. What I do have a problem with is the fact that they systematically invaded us every 55 years or so. What I do have a problem with is the crowns and the jewels and the gold that they stole from us in tons. What I do have a problem with is that our king no longer rules the country.
      And my dear commenter, I *do* have a problem with all that, as biased as my opinion may be, because I am a simple human, after all, who wants to live in an independent country.

    • @yugine1000
      @yugine1000 Před 9 lety +2

      King? Stolen jewels? Gold? Whatever. But If you blame us for waging imperialisic policy towards your country, then blame every nation that has ever been an empire. If you blame communists for waging war then blame every country in the world. It seems to me you are just a non-objective emotinal lady who know that Russia is bad and your counry inhabited only by angels. Tell me where you are from and I will find for what to blame your country and whose lands it ever invaded. Though a clever person has herself to know own hisory. Likewise, you are talking about your poor, poor family. Who am I, who lost father and great grand father because of foreign countries to dare to argue with you? A nought! You are talking about independence. Isn't your country independent nowadays or you just hold this argument to justify your biased opinion towards Russia, planted into you by mass media, herd instinct and other pretty trifles? By the way, if you were well-read you would know for which good things ( not forgetting all evils ) we must be thankful to communists and socialists. You would know how had ordinary people lived before a socialistic country appeared, by that pushing the world to changes. 'The people of the Abyss' will be a beautiful example. And my dear comrade, I am either not a 'bad Russian', not a subhuman, not a stupid cruel Ivan, I do consider myself a civilised human who wants to live in an independent and rich country just like you, which is not to be blamed for what Germanic Romanovs have done to others, for killing of milions ( prevalently Russians ) by Georgian Stalin and waging war since its infancy. If my ancestors did not that I would not exist, Hitler's attitude towards Eastern Slavs shows that clearly.

    • @yugine1000
      @yugine1000 Před 9 lety

      Oh I am not anymore sking where are you from. Romania. Of course, an innocent sheep country, of course. Keep going that way.

    • @dudebro765
      @dudebro765 Před 9 lety +5

      Hmm? Very well. I'm from Romania. The only country we ever invaded, if you call that invasion, is the retaliation and the invasion up to St. Petersburg after you took Besserabia from us in WW2. We are a nation of depressed people, who are trying and constantly failing to adapt to Western policies. By no means are we better when it comes to living standards. Europe hates us. America uses us. We return the feeling.
      Russia did a lot of good things for us. Without you, we wouldn't have independence. Without you Romania wouldn't have won in WW1. Only problem here is, we talk about Imperial Russia. By no means do I imply it was a good regime for you. The imperialists did a lot of crimes for which they cannot be forgiven and no one in their right mind would say they were good. The Bolsheviks, however, did something different: external relations.
      You say I should blame every nation that is is similar to Russia... You know the fault of this way of thinking? The other nations pretty much worked on a system of "pay or be ours". If you look at history, we paid in gold and blood tributes the Ottomans for pretty much the last millenium.And they kept their word. France was the same, so was England. We paid them all in gold. And we did exist, not as independent people, but as close as we could. We governed ourselves and all was fine...
      In 1800, the Romanian War of Independence took place. You fought for us, we helped you back...all nice, right? The world powers recognised us as independent...
      1918. WW1. Russia has a revolution, retreats from the war, leaving Romania alone on the Eastern Entante front. We almost lose in front of Germany, so we send our most precious gold and paintings, everything, to Moskova. Allies have each others back, no? Should Romania be invaded by Germans 100%, you'd still be there to remember us. Guess who didn't return anything after the war...
      With French and English help, we make it as winners in the end. Demands for the return of the thesaurus, demands for collaboration...Russia was no longer an ally, you basically shut down everything.
      Then came WW2. You invaded us, as a result we allied with Germany (we were neutral)...many things happened. For better or for worse, we betrayed the Germans and went with you, shortening the war with 8 months.
      And what did we get back? The blackest period of all Romanian history, 2 bloody tyrants that killed and tortured millions in prisons...And we didn't get anything good from communism, dear. Our golden age was _before_ communism. We were the granary of Europe, and had high social standards. I know the Russians were the opposite. I know you weren't doing well at all during the time. If you're as well-read as you insist you are, you realised that other ex-communist states weren't the same. You are looking at Communism as an improvement, yet did it ever strike that maybe, just maybe, not every state was like Ameica or Russia. Great Depressions? Nah, not here. For some nations, and I talk abou Hungary, Poland, Romania, the standards befor were higher than the standards brought by communism.
      Okay, you'll say, that's history, right? And now things changed, right? Well no. Putin keeps taunting and calling us American lackeys. Not very flattering, for a nation that dislikes mostly everybody that's not France or Spain... Russians still treat us as scum who's only importance is that it has gas, and Russian gas isn't selling well as a result.
      In my high school they teach Russian...there are projects involving cultural exchanges and tying closer ties to Russians...so we are trying. And ordinary Russians, especially teens, are charming. Always polite, nice, well-mannered. And yet they don't represent the country politics.
      _What is aggravating is that you aren't remoresful. You, and many other Russians, instead of following the German example, and apologising at least once for the gulags, the kolhozes....you are strangely proud of it. You defend a period that, overall, did a lot of bad things to the Russians. You lost fathers, mothers, grandmas, holy god, you lost millions....and your only crime is that you are still defending that regime. The past is not your burden to carry, but trying to take the best out of a criminal period is. What happened in Russia, the bloody Sunday, the violent crimes and the terrifying secret police...if it was that bad...then the bad effects outweighted the good ones. What happened to God is With the Russians? 'If we lose our faith,we'll disappear from this world', or so the song goes? You are the cradle of orthodoxism, and yet yours was the atheist regime, too._
      After all, even the Nazi regime brought good changes in the world, but we don't talk about that, right?

But the difference between Turkey and the other nations is that Turkey isn't an empire, and never ruled the same land the others did.

    They existed in sporadic and crude form prior(Dating back to 2008 at least with the Cambodia Yearly History video and a few iffy ones), and they didn't really take off in the community until 2016(And they didn't take off outside the community until 2022), but this one marked the spark. 2011 is also when the first WW2 timeline video happened and the year EmperorTigerstar started regular uploads.

      Y si de verdad eres de esos países de mierda espero que entiendas el Español
      Por lo demás, España no tiene nada que ver con los vertederos latinoamericanos

      XxTheDeMoNxX Si y ni hablar, a ver si entiende el español, paises que no estan tan mal Argentina, Chile y Uruguay. No tanto como EEUU, Australia o Canada claro pero hasta Guatemala o El Salvador son paises menos pobres que colonias como Togo, Benino, Pakistan, Eritrea o Haiti. O sea que dejen de decir que fue por culpa de la gestion de la colonia (que los Europeos no supieron gobernar sus colonias), fue gracias o por culpa de las naciones independientes que luego todo se fue al carajo. EEUU o Australia lograron sus desarrollos gracias a su gente y a sus gobiernos. Basta ya de tanto racismo y de vivir en el pasado de imperios que ya no existen politicamente.

    • @OscarMarohn23
      @OscarMarohn23 Před 9 lety

      XxTheDeMoNxX tienes razon pero tampoco los españoles enseñaron como acer dinero que no sea de extractar el oro o la plata o tanpoco de las fincas, entonce quando ya se acaba el oro o la plata entonce nada mas se queda con las fincas que no produce dinero como los países que tienen factorias o bastantes exportós que sean algo simple como las cosechas.
      Y también tienes razón que no vivimos en la epoca de imperios, pero eso no quiere decir que no podemos hablar de ellos, son interesantes (por lo menos para mi)
      Y la manera de gobernar a las colnias africanas es muy diferente a las colonias español-americanas, y eso tiene qur ver muchos con la pobreza que hay ayi ahora. Tambien eso y como tu dijiste, el Gobierno del país despues de que se han largado los europeos
