Niall has said that he hates his audition video. He says that he was cocky and talking shit because he was nervous as hell. Niall & Lewis Capaldi have a documentary of them going to Niall’s hometown that you should watch 😊

I agree they were so harsh during Niall’s audition, i get so mad when i watch this video. i mean Simon kept cutting him off and i still havent understood how Niall was ‘mocking’ them when he was clearly just nervous and didnt know how to answer the question :(( what really annoyed me was Simon saying all that bad review and continuing with ‘but i like you’ 😂 its okay though, look how far they have all come. Couldn’t be more happy and proud 💖
Also fun fact: Cheryl later dated Liam and they have a 7 year old som together named ‘Bear’. Its a bit crazy how the person he auditioned in front of when he was 16 became the mother of his child 😮

Cheryl first met liam when he first auditioned at just 14, and there's a little moment in his first ever audition where he winks at Cheryl bc she was also judge then
god they were all such babies back then :( niall is my fav and he just looks soooo young in this and seeing where he is

The bootcamps and all show a more deeper side of their journey. Zayn would have almost not been in the group because of his anxiety acting up and him refusing to Dance, but Simon talked him through to do it anyway.

The boys were very lucky that Simon saw in them what we could all see afterwards, talent and charisma.❤Because let's face it, some of those performances were terrible. 🙈

it's crazy how young they were 😭 yes they were too harsh on niall and went too easy on louis for unknown reasons. the fact that harry only got 2 yeses is crazy thank god there were 3 not 4 judges in manchester that day. zayn talked about his audition in the call her daddy podcast last year, have you seen it? he said he looked so nervous, he wanted to hug himself when he rewatched the audition 💔

I both simultaneous adore Niall in his audition and have a hard time watching it... but his natural charm and charisma is what truly shines through. You see the star power.
They are all so young and wee and all of them grew so much and worked hard to do it.

Just a pet peeve, it will be great if you listen to the album with lyrics open, for the lyrics in the later albums but also because I've seen a lot of reactors miss out on Zayn's high notes and every one of them deserves appreciation

Also... "I don't know him but I'm super proud of him" is just what Lou somehow does to people. He is a year and half older than my oldest son and I find myself feeling like Lou is just another one of my kids the way my heart just bursts with pride for him and all he's accomplished.🥰🥰🥰💙💙💙

Hehehe. You started with the best audition. Then it went downhill. No. They were not great auditions to me. I’m glad this wasn’t my first impression of them. I am still amazed they got through but I’m happy they made it. And look at them now! They’re all smashing it. And they are all amazing.

I'm glad that I started with their solo-work now and see how much they have grown as individuals but also as a group. Even if it's my first time watching it was a beautiful moment for me, I felt like a proud brother to all of them ❤️
Even though Niall was the first to be chosen for the band, Simon was always very hard on him. When 1D broke up, Simon was angry that Niall didn't want to go to his label and declared that he would make Niall regret it.

They actually wanted to liam to be a solo but decided to put him in a band and it was apparently the plan since 2008 after his first audition when he was 14.
