  • How to install balls into ball nut?
There isn’t a ball holder inside ball nut, so the balls are easy to drop out when you disassemble ball nut from ball screw.
What can you do when the balls drop out during assembling?
The ball nut is still functional if just one or two balls drop out.
But if there are lots of balls drop out, you need to reinstall them into ball nut.
This video will show you how to do so.
Here is the chart for balls diameter inside each ball nut.
Any issue, feel free to contact us at info@limobearing.com

Keeep in mind that the most important part it's whats done at the FRIST step, that means, DO NOT get a ball between the first line of the system and the dead end line. because once installed the locknut will jam if traveling in the opposite direction. If that happens, just let it slide and start over. But Always check the locknut can travel in BOTH directions.

      Can you please elaborate?

    • @franciscoanconia2334

@@HyperionBadger Sure, so... the way this systems work is that there is a "jump" where the balls are "recycled", depending on the ballscrew they will go to the beginning and each ball will travel the whole length of the screw OR (as is the case with cheapre ones) they will jump a single row (on the locknut) and keep cycling. All this jumping around from one lane to the next is all very fine... except there is a problem.
If for whatever reason, a ball gets AFTER a "jump", then the ball will get stuck as it approaches the end of the ballscrew, as the ball has nowhere to go, it will stuck the system, sometimes beyond repair.

@@franciscoanconia2334 The jumps are the things that can come off and on, and go into the holes on the side?
The balls all have to roll in the inner part of the thread, and the jumps prevent them from coming all the way up to the end of the thread?

how do u know you aren't on the first line of thread?

    • @franciscoanconia2334
      @franciscoanconia2334 Před rokem +1

@@tapiocajai If you look closely you'll see at least two "returns", which are usually some pipes that redirect ball bearings between tracks. Make sure you put ball bearings BETWEEn those returns, otherwise they'll get stuck since they have no way of recirculating. This is crucial because you will be able to turn the ballscrew forwards as you're placing the balls, but once you go backwards, those balls will ahve nowhere to go and the whole thing will be stuck.
