This may be the first time (2:40) I’ve ever heard anyone say the Ripper 1 has too much rocker. 🤯😂 I get that he’s saying it was too much for the stern width, but still. I paddled a small R1 for years and the lack of bow rocker was the number one reason I sold it.
I actually found this video a little lacking in detail ab what’s changed:
- Increased Bow Rocker
- Decreased Stern Volume
- Slightly Shorter
- Slightly Wider (according to Hipgrave it’s ab same width at waterline, just wider at parting line bc…)👇🏼
- Softer Sidewalls = more forgiving & slicier
- No Drain Plug (yay! 🥳)
- Rounder Cockpit = drier
Hey Kevin, Everyone has different opinions on how boats feel in the water and paddle. Thats why it's always super important to try the boats on the water for yourself. This video was only ever really intended to be a quick first look. Our Pyranha demo Ripper2 has now arrived! Stay tuned for a more in-depth review, we're just off for a paddle in it now.
Looks great, I'm mainly a playboater, Ripper 2 could make me run rivers again potentially cause the creeker is gathering dust. Thanks for the review

I have a ripper 1 , looking forward to the on water review , wondering would it be worthwhile changing to a ripper 2 , is there a big difference between the two . Love the ripper 1

Thank you, more an initial overview / thoughts really. We're get one n the water soon for a proper review. It does look a fun boat! We're pretty eager to take one for a paddle.
i'll give it 6 months before titan kayaks bring out the "nymph 2"...
Ripper 1 was total garbage but converted to c1 and is ace, have a ripper 2 as kayak and is excellent apart from the outfitting especially the back rest as constantly too low. Not sure I would have another Pyranha until they can fit decent outfitting like Dagger
