I have been watching MCM houses for several days on YT. This is by far the most beautiful and original MCM houses I have ever seen. The only mistake the owners made was the kitchen. It looks like an albatross against all that beautiful Birch paneling. Such an exciting house to live in...it just goes on and on surprising you as you walk through it. I like the more traditional furniture in this one. People often think MCM houses only had MCM furniture, but that isn't true. Oftentimes owners that built houses like this would use Antiques to furnish them or Hollywood Regency style furniture.
Like the home not the decor so much. And the kitchen doesn’t match the wood paneling through out the home.
Nice design and love the flow of the house. The kitchen reno doesn’t match but the whole place still has a mid century charm. Too bad about the landscaping. I don’t see any native plants on the grounds nor is there any plant relationships. An important read is Bring Nature Home by Doug Tallamy.
Geez what a fabulous MCM Mansion !! I would love to have been able to do a Lock and Key...meaning buy the house and all the furnishings and artwork. So Gorgeous.

I love this gorgeous home, but was bothered by the dead animals all over the place. A bearskin rug, ivory, heads mounted on the walls; maybe it was the roadkill/overkill that set you on edge? Otherwise, I found it thrillingly beautiful.

I did not like the colonial gentlemen's club feel of the furniture, the old oil paintings, or the hunting trophies. With the right furniture it could look very impressive.
