Ssj4 just hits different man. Now that is the primal form of a Saiyan in his ancestral roots
And the writing behind it makes soo much more sense then the god forms
I agree. I feel like ss3 is begining to tap into the power supply with a limited amount and without the primal instincts. Thus the ss3 tranformation in dbz had the animation in his mind we saw. Then after turning into great ozaroo he gets more of that primal instinct.so he could combine the fully unlocked power of 3 with the instincts of ozaroo and turn into ss4. I feel like in super they are bringing that in soon too. I feel like ultra instinct mastery will help goku bring ss blues god key combine with the saiyan blood line and instincts to create the true ss god beerus invisioned.

Only reason it never was brought back was that they forgot about tails so bringing what old orzaru is and have it when super sayians are now is more then reasonable and just embrace old primal nature of the race and power to make this true sayian form is way better then god and blue

Of course they needed to leave behind the rage to perform more efficiently in battle now that they had already learned to get a hold of the form , how does that mean one can't go ssj or further when they're raging?

I really think dbs is going in a similar direction (to a certain extent)! SPOILER WARNING if you haven’t read the manga. Last chapter left of with goku remembering his parents, and a reaction scene where his eyes turn blank and there’s this ominous aura surrounding him. Whis also told him to make Ultra instinct his own, since his sayian genes interfere with the calmness needed to master it. That’s why he’ll find some other transformation, probably not as drastic as ssj4 but one that still eludes to his sayian genes while using god ki

@@theemeraldninja5038 well broly proves that a tail isn't required to tap into that power. However I personally would prefer to see the tails returning, especially since GT made it to where the tails do increase a saiyans base power (also in DB)
Agreed ssj4 is the coolest looking transformation, im hopping they make this form canon some how, or at least give the transformation specifically for broly.

Actually Baby Saga in DBGT was really good. The main antagonist has a good motivation, and we were all reminded that Saiyans were not a peaceful race. They conquered, and enslaved countless worlds, and some beings wanted to take revange for what Saiyans done to their planet.
Agreed, I feel like almost everyone (myself included) remember the time in GT where it just felt like filler episodes to find dragonballs and get into trouble that doesnt matter since theyre saiyans and super powerful, so boring. Looking back it tho, GT kinda brought Dragonball back to its roots as a more adventure focused story which was refreshing, but not Z
The only disappointing fact about the Baby Saga was that it sidelined Vegeta which usually happens haha.

SSJ4 was always one of my favorite forms not only because of the design but the requirements to get there. It's more of a alpha primal Saiyan form.

Exactly! Goku knew that the blast wasn't powerrful enough to do anything to him. The hint was the frame where he was close up on the Revenge Death Ball. Had he moved, the patch of ground he's standing on would've been vaporized as well.
SSJ4 should be known as the truest form of Saiyan evolution to its roots.

That form he's in before SSJ4 is golden OOZURU, which is a form that saiyan has to take before ascending to SSJ4. If they do it naturally. Golden OOZURU is far stronger than regular great ape.
I think it's still far stronger than a regular great ape even if they don't do it naturally.
Cuz like , they do transform into golden great ape , so they get the power even if it's from pulling out a tail and doing the process , or using blutz wave machine to hit with the blutz waves .

Golden Oozaru is usually thought to be Oozaru • SSJ. So a 500x multiplier. Or 25% stronger than SSJ3.
But considering how Baby was getting stomped as SB2(hinted to be an equivalent to SSJ3) while doing much better as a Golden Oozaru himself, I think the multiplier is more along the lines of _Oozaru • SSJ3._ Putting it around a 4,000x multiplier.
Then, naturally, SSJ4 is a (unknown) multiplier on top of even that. I wish they gave an official multiplier for at least one, though.

I like how SSJ4 and UI are kinda like opposites. SSJ4 makes Goku scarily aggressive while UI Goku is scarily calm

A quick summary of the first GT Storyline: Goku trained with Uub in the time chamber within Kamis Palace. Prince Pilaf (one of the Antagonists from Dragonball) heard, that there should be some Dragonballs much stronger then the normal Dragonballs, because those were made when Kami and Demon King Piccolo were still one person. He and his two henchmen successfull sneaked into the palace, gained the Super Dragonballs and called the Dragon.
At this moment, Goku and Uub came out of the time chamber and because Goku defeated Pilaf and his gang without problems, he accidently wished, that Goku shall be a child again. The Dragon heard the wish, turned Goku into a Kid but Goku still had his power (SSJ - SSJ 3 included).
The problem with those Dragonballs: They were so powerful, that they spread out into the universe and if you not get them back in 30 days, the planet on which they were used will be destroyed.
So Bulma build a space ship and Goku and the now grown up Trunks went out to gather the Dragonballs. Unnoticed by them, Goku's Granddaughter Pan sneaked into the ship. They managed to get the Super Dragonballs in time, but a Tsufurian (one of the former inhabitans of the old planet Vegeta) called "Baby" followed them. He had the ability to posess other bodys and after a while, he posessed all of Gokus Sons, Trunks and later Vegeta.
Actually they weren’t the super dragonballs they were the black Star dragonballs which carry a curse bout the earth being destroyed if they aren’t regathered after granting a wish with them

Not only because it looks cool but also because thematically, it went to the roots of saiyajins, their Tail and Ozaru form, something that we all tought it was obsolete
It also goes deeper with the Journey to the West and Sun Wu Kong inspiration for Dragon Ball and Gokus character
He turns into a monkey (Wich there is a diferent non related story about a monkey howling to the moon, or triying to catch it in the water, in this case its planet earth)
But like the Monkey King, Goku later obtains a form with black hair, wich i belive Wukong has as his strongest form? Correct me on that

I believe there was an interview with Katsayoshi Nakatsuru (the character designer) who said that the lack of gold fur was an oversight on his part, and he just went with black and red because he thought it looked cooler. But considering his ape form was golden before this, he really should look more like a traditional super saiyan.

A lot of GT was really good. I have a rock version of the theme as my ringtone lol. I get where many didn't care for it, but you can't deny the good points of the series. I am still really hopeful with Super bringing in aspects of non cannon stuff that they bring SSJ4 over, call it Primal Saiyan, or whatever. Just bring the form or something similar. I swear if we keep getting colors and sparkles with no physical transformations I'm going to have to really wonder about their direction. At least Ultra Ego has somewhat of that SSJ3 look.

Goku can do "10×kamehameha" in ssj4 (Red kamehameha). Goku also can do "Dragon Fist" which is special to ssj3 and ssj4.

By the Aimin all Saiyans are born with tails. Goku's tail got removed in the og dragon ball(I won't say how because spoilers)and Vegeta's got removed in the Saiyan saga if you remember that part. Thing is though Saiyans can actually regrow their tails a few times when they're removed but the reason Goku didn't was because of something I won't say because of spoilers and the reason Vegeta didn't regrow it was propably because he already lost it a few times before in other battles(you already saw in z how gohan lost his 2 times and it never grew back. Goten may not have been born with one which could mean he's more human than gohan is a human Also the tail is yellow because of the transformation.

Super Sayain 4 is by far Goku best transformation in terms of design and as a character Goku acts more badass and serious and acts more like a saiyan and the voice change like super sayain 3 makes it 10x better

No doubt. If Super Saiyan blue is supposed to be so powerful, why is it constantly getting its ass kicked? I get that you need to make the villains look powerful but there are other ways to do that. Because compared to some of the s*** 4 pulls off, blue just seems super weak, and we know it's not supposed to be.

The best thing about it, is that it has black airforce energy, goku is just plain down baddass, he killed each villain in GT, no chances
SS4 to me is the canon original super Saiyan form because when Vegeta is talking about the legendary super Saiyan the picture that's shown is of a golden great ape.
@Aimin the villain goku is fighting is called baby. He was created by a scientist who was the last survier of a race known as the tuffles which were the very first race that the saiyan's wiped out. They lived on planet vegeta before the saiyan's appeared.
SSJ4 looks like a great hybrid between the Oozaru (great ape) and SSJ/SSJ3 but with their original (black) hair colour.
Too bad all we got in Super was SSJ God ("Kaio-ken reskin") and SSB ("Super Saiyan, but it's BLuUuEeE").

Golden Freeza = Freeza final form reskin (gold instead of white "sugooooi").
UI/MUI is kinda ok, but I don't get the hype. It's more of a technique like Kaioken than a full transformation, base SSJ form with new aura and eyebrows + eyes.
Is "Full power SSJ" that future Trunks deus ex machina form?

A little thing which probably doesn't matter a lot but it's still cool , that ssj4 primarily having to do with a saiyan's primal nature an Ozaru which we got a flash of in Goku's eyes when he first showed the ssj3 transformation .
Ssj3 forcibly trying to bring out the power and Ssj4 taking hold of a lot more than that by controlling his mind .
I love the fact that no one questions where the perfectly new pants comes from
So the saiyans transformations is based on blutz waves which is the light from the sun reflected by the moon. Or whatever planitary object that happens to be close enough to reflect the necessary amount of light and energy. Being light, it's most effectively absorbed into our bodies by looking at it. Which triggers the transformation, which the transformation gland is in the tail, and why when they lose the tail they can't transform. The transformation is a 10x multiplier of power. And being a golden great ape I believe is super saiyan great ape I believe is the idea they tried to get across?

This battle on Planet Tuffle was when Goku first hits SSJ4 against Super Baby and the mind-controlled Z-fighters, but if you’d like to see more of SSJ4 in action try looking up “SSJ4 Goku vs Super Android 17”, “SSJ4 vs Nuova Shenron” or “SSJ4 Goku vs Omega Shenron”. You’re in for a treat if you do!
One of the biggest reasons people like me love the non-canon Time Patrol stories (the Xenoverse games and the Dragon Ball Heroes games, manga, & anime) is that more people rely on SSJ3 & SSJ4 than just Goku & Vegeta; additional SSJ4 users include GT Gohan, OG Dark Broly, & Bardock.
Though I absolutely love the DB Super transformations, the reliance on the SSJ4 transformation in the Time Patrol stories makes me prefer its use (as my best preset character loadout) for my custom Time Patroller in Xenoverse 2. I have so much fun showing it off online! 🤣

@@darthsusan1494 Xenoverse 2 has a SSJ4 outfit anyone can use, not to mention customization keys for Super Saiyan 4 Goku &, so although it isn’t an awakening skill your character can use it IS still in-game.
In terms of the Time Patrol stories in general, the 5 aforementioned characters learn how to use and rely on the SSJ4 transformation throughout the Dark Demon Realm sagas. This connects to Xenoverse 1&2 as the game is set in the early-to-mid stages of the Time Patrol considering the story works to introduce players to Towa and Mira; the stronger those Time Breakers get in the stories, the closer Trunks gets to reaching SSJ3 and unlocking Super Saiyan God.
“Non-canon content” means that given development constraints practically everything can show up at some point. Heck - there’s absolutely nothing stopping the Xenoverse 2 develops from randomly saying “Let’s officially add this transformation!” to the game; modders have already added SSJ4 as an awakening skill to Xenoverse 2, so it’s not like it’s impossible.
TLDR: You can make a preset with parts of the Super Saiyan 4 costume and say “this is my Super Saiyan 4 Time Patroller”. No other games have that except for the Time Patrol games.

this is my favorite form and my favorite dragonball series
Sayans normally have a tail since birth. If they are kids and the tail is cut off it will grew back again. If an adult sayan get is tail cut off it wont grew up again. Thats why goku, vegeta, gohan etc dont have it anymore. Goten and trunks since they have sayan blood but not as much as gohan (i think) they dont have a tail

little bit of back story. Baby is a parasite who is now in Vegeta's body. So technically Vegeta at SSJ2 is now fighting Goku at SSJ4. He can fight back because of the accumulated power Baby ahs absorbed from multiple sources; including Gohan, Goten and Trunks as well as Vegeta.
Here's some perspective into Baby Vegeta's Revenge Death Ball. It is so powerful and volatile that it shook the very fabric of dimensions and as SSJ4, Goku straight took it like it was nothing.
So the transformation is canon to dragonball. It just isnt a part of the main continuity. Also, it is a completely different form than the others and being called ss4 is kind of confusing, as it isnt a linear transformation. It is exclusive to saiyans born with tails atleast, purebloods at most. It is also unique in that it is a manifestation of that particular saiyans maximum potential at any given time. This is also why the form made him an adult again. It basically allows a saiyan access to their prime body and their maximum output at the same time. Though recently in some dragonball heroes material, the form was given a boost that sort of explains the appearance of another super saiyan 4 in the series. But I dont think it was confirmed as of yet as being why the other ss4 in GT looks the way it does.

@@jason-qr8sq to be fair Toriyama does writing for the games and even makes characters for them. And in Online/Heroes/Xenoverse it's stated that GT is simply a different timeline. So GT is still canon it's just not the timeline we're currently focused on.
It's called Grand Tour because the series starts off with Goku, Young Trunks in his teens and Pan (Gohan's daughter) touring the universe in search of a universal set of Dragon Balls.
Some old "villains" from Dragon Ball (they show up in Super soon) make a wish on the Black Star Dragon Balls (non-canon) turning Goku to a kid but the wish can only be undone by the same Dragon Balls.
I never watched dbgt for a very long time but ssj4 got me interested. Low-key love the show
SS4 is my favorite transformation to this date, it's a true saiyan transformation. You can tell to the look itself, the serious aggressive nature of a saiyan. To the fact they have fur like a great ape and they retain their tail.
You should probably do the rest of baby fight.
It actually gets explain better later on by Bulma. Just as the Moon reflects the light of the Sun, Earth is reflecting the Light from the Moon. There's a thing about "Blutz Waves" as well, but Bulma also explains that too.

In 1996 at the age of 4 I first so the og dragon ball episodes every day on TV and in 1999 I first saw the ssj4 imagine being a 7 year old kid 3 years late viewing this I was amazed. People say GT was bad to be honest GT was bad ass for giving us memorable transformations and villains.
Super doesn't show the full potential of db alone neither does gt , but it's definitely a significant part cuz without it i wouldn't think db can still be as much awesome or more than dbz , gt isn't but those concepts MAN and i would just consider it a very light hearted hyped fights series . It adds quite some memorable stuff to db in general .
