    I just did my winter grease, oil change and spark plug change on my 149 loader. I also painted all the yellow with new caterpillar yellow Farm Implement paint. I like it, I may go mono color like your 149.

    OMG HE’S BEAST! I wish I had to space to keep a machine like this! Will most likely be the best video I will ever upload on my channel. Until then I will stick to the smaller city slicker stuff! I would modify the impeller on it and SEND IT

    Not much use for a snowblower here in Florida. But I do enjoy watching machinery being worked on. Thanks.

    boy the gauge of that housing sheet metal is pretty light, amazing it is in such great condition after 40 years.

    Just in time for winter. Spitting snow up here in Aroostook county right now.
    I wanna get a blower for my John Deere 112. Good work

    Nice video. Ford had a complicated and expensive to manufacture snowblower with drive shafts and chains. However, it looks like a very heavy duty blower for a garden tractor.

    I have a Ford 125 I believe it is. It used to have a single stage snow blower on the front but the snowblower has been removed now. I still have the tractor but am no longer using it for anything...didn't even start it this summer! But when it started, it's a good runner. There is lots of play in the steering though... Like a 1/2 turn of the steering wheel!

    "when you come in here , you look first , and when you see me still doing this , you stop talking and wait patiently" - I'm going to try that with my girlfriend! Wish me luck!

    Great video! I just got my new to me 1980 bolens QT17 mounted up to the single stage 42" today. The tractor, 54" deck 48" deck and the blower were all stored for 10+ years in pieces... I still need 2 seals for the blowers gearbox but I guess just keep it topped up for now.

    Its good to reach the point of maturity to know the easiest option, but pretty much assume its definitely not going to go that way. That bearing looked just like my 4041 front wheel bearing, couldn't believe i couldn't feel it.

    My snow blower on my 1973 112 had a stiff chan. But when I took the chain off to fix that I also packed my bearings full of grease. Also do you know any way to pull the shoot adjuster apart on a John Deere snow blower to grease it and if so can you make a video on it because mine is so stiff you have to use two hands. And most of the time it wont budge.

      The chute rotator is clamped on with that collar. Just pop off the metal connector and it will come out.

    Could you possibly do a small project on camera? I just bought a cheap 2500 winch from harbor freight and want to put it on my cub 1250. Would love if you tried it and could figure out a good way to make a bumper for mounting the winch

    Hey, I love your channel, been a subscriber for a good while now. I have a good qst for you that I never really found any answer anywhere. I got a Ford LGT165 for ... FREE that I found on the internet. and I want to rebuild completely (I learned for your videos, big Tks) and as soon as I can find the time/money for that project, I'll order all the parts from your company (I'm in Quebec, Canada, I think it's not a problem for you to ship it here, isn't it?. So my QST here: Is it possible to turn a Ford LGT165 2x4 into a Ford LGT165 4x4 tractor (I mean a serious 4x4, not the kind of easy conversion that we see sometimes on CZcams). The main problem that I wonder is how to deal with the gear ration between the front and the rear wheels... You never did a project like that. I would really like to have your thoughts about it. . I love what you're doing. Tks BTW: If anybody could come up with some idea on how to deal with the gear ration, you're welcomed.

    Are you using motorcycle chain lube? Im surprised they designed that chain to be out in the snow and salt like that. As you can see on the #50 blower for your JD 400 its covered.

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  Před 4 lety

      Yea originally it had a chain guard but it was open in the bottom. Mine has been missing. I do use a graphite type chain lubricant on it. The JD blowers are better made

  • @jason-white
    @jason-white Před 4 lety

    Shouldn't you have a serviceable bearing there or even a sealed one? Seems a shielded bearing is just going to fail again soon in a wet snowy environment.

      Seriously? This is Normans job. Its not just that he's recording but has his dirty hands tied up and is focusing on something he is trying to get done. You obviously have never had kids or never tried to get anything done while having children. It could have been a request to open a bag of chips, why not let him finish what he is doing, wash his hands then let him take care of it. You throw out heavy parental judgement with partial information. Shows a lot of your own character.
