Real Work is proof of Real Faith. Real Work follows Real Faith
YES!
You all are going to hell if you think that âfaith with works is real faithâ the Bible says it very very clear that we are not saved by works at all. It is faith in Jesus Christ alone, nothing else.
âFor by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.â Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
âand be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:â
ââPhilippians⏠â3âŹ:â9⏠âKJV
âI do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.â
ââGalatians⏠â2âŹ:â21⏠âKJVâŹâŹ
âNow to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. âBut to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.â
ââRomans⏠â4âŹ:â4-5⏠âKJVâŹâŹ
âFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.â
ââJohn⏠â3âŹ:â16⏠âKJVâŹâŹ
âand brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.â

@@lizuanetterodriguez8173 Real Faith will inspire Real Work. It will come naturally.
@@simthiam3712 Works is not evidence that you have âtrue faithâ and faith without works does not mean that it is non-existent. First of all, James is talking to saved people because as you can see from the beginning he calls them âmy brothers.â In verse 14, it is not talking about salvation, when it says âcan faith save himâ it is referring to verses 12-13. Faith alone cannot save you from judgment without mercy, because as you may know even saved people are going to be judged and will be rewarded for good deeds, again not salvation. ( 2 Corinthians 5:10). In verse 17 âEven so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.â(KJV) When it says âdeadâ it does not mean that itâs ânon-existentâ or that itâs not âtrue faithâ it means itâs useless, barren, idle. âAnd being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:â
ââ(Romans⏠â4âŹ:â19⏠âKJVâŹ) when it says âthe deadness of Sarahâs wombâ it doesnât mean that he womb is non-existent or that itâs not a true womb, it just means that since she is of old age itâs dead, useless, barren because logically it cannot carry a child(but as we know God is capable to make anything possible) likewise, in James 2:17 when it says it is dead, it just means it is useless because you arenât helping anyone or yourself and you are not glorifying God. In verse 18 the example is literally saying that he is showing a human being his faith alone and the other human showing his faith with worksâŠobviously a human being cannot see the faith of someone of it has no works but God can, he knows everyoneâs hearts. James is encouraging SAVED people to live a Christian life so that it is profitable for him and other people. Verse 21 says that Abraham was justified by works, now the question is, justified before whom? âFor if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.â(Romans⏠â4âŹ:â2⏠KJV) He was justified before men, not God. To be saved we need to be justified before God, so again this book itâs not talking about salvation! We are justified by God through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Just one little note, the fact that James recognizes their faith, means that they have it!

That's a good truth to be told: Christians cannot go on sinning if we have true faith because the Holy Spirit will turn us away from our sins (if we obey His promptings). .
We Christians are still sinners as it is in our sinful nature. The holy spirit convicts us to do what is right, but we will unfortunately still sin. We do however strive every day to do what is right which is God's will.
@@Andrew-se4tg I believe the Holy Spirit is more powerful than our sin nature. Otherwise how could one repent and turn from sin? We should renew our minds and walk in the power of the Spirit not in the flesh.
@@juliemarkham4332 you need to look into Christian apologetics because youâre not seeing the full picture. The goal is to be more like Jesus, not to âbe Jesusâ. God will examine your heart to see if ur pure. He knows when a person is honest and sincere(unlike Luther who tried to buy his way into heaven). But Iâm telling u now, no matter how hard u try you WILL NEVER be without sin, otherwise we wouldnât need a savior. Repentance isnât walking the straight line all the time, itâs getting back up after youâve fallen short.
@@Andrew-se4tg youâre a true Christian
@@yungalucard9139 YES! Become more like Jesus-the sinless one that paid the price for OUR sins on the cross!
James taught that works are required for Salvation.
Jesus also taught -
No Works - No Salvation.
âThen the King will turn to those on the left and say, âAway with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didnât feed me. I was thirsty, and you didnât give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didnât invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didnât give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didnât visit me.â âThen they will reply, âLord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?â
âAnd he will answer, âI tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.â
âAnd they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.â The Book Of Matthew
Also, the man who was given a talent and buried it was rejected by God because he didn't do any works.
The Book Of James 2:20-25
"Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, 'Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.'And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?"
The false church denies these important teachings, even contradicting Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 2:1
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves.
Ephesians 2:8-9 declares that we are saved by grace but if we read the very next verse, we will learn about works as well. Verse 10 reads âfor we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus FOR GOOD WORKS, which God prepared beforehand that WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.â So, yes indeed those three verses 8,9 & 10, answer the question of works and faith in one back to back. Oh how I love the Word of God. đđđœ

Do I need works to be saved?
Easy answer is yes. Example; Thief on the cross.
Titus 3:14 And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.
Good work is not root - but the fruit of salvation
Well statedđ
Thatâs an interesting metaphor. I use yin and Yang to help me better understand how to approach works. Before u jump to conclusion yes I am a Christian, but itâs hard deny simularites of âbalanceâ between them.
From the U.k............Thankyou Daniel. You couldn't have explained it simpler. I have heard so many times from so called Christians that a Christian can lose HIS or HER salvation. As you say it's not a licence to sin... but if we TRULY have the Holy Spirit living inside us...surly HE will keep us on the right path. God Bless you brother!
Titus 3:5-7 ESV
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, [6] whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, [7] so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
You can work your way to heaven all you want and still end up in hell, or you can just have faith in Christ alone relying on him versus yourself.
Baptismal regeneration does nothing.
Works of the law does nothing.
Daily sacrifices on an altar does nothing.
FAITH is EVERYTHING.
Your works are as filthy rags. If they do not exist in result, then they do not save. works, are a result, not a condition.

Jesus said "He that believeth and is baptjzed shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:16)
How will you show your self when you believe your humble? When you share don't feel like your sharing when you share. When you teach don't feel like a teacher when your teaching. When your intelligent don't feel intelligent for being intelligent. When your wise don't feel wise for being wise. When you succeed let others praise you and not you. When you know something, fix your face and look like you don't know much. Be normal. Give up all pride and be humble for not even god does that. Amen. How worthy is evil? It's so worthless that we don't need it and it should have never happened. If evil did happen, it would happen once to prove itself wrong then everything shall be perfect forever later. God allows evil to happen so he can shine his light in the darkness to prove that murderers, liars, the sexual immoral, thieves, swindlers, drunkards, scoffers, slanderers, and everyone who practices falsehood are unneeded and unwelcomed. To help your faith just picture a man who was happy and enjoys murdering children and gets away with it till he dies. Yes he succeeded with no remorse. Now picture the universe full of these child killers and ask yourself this question. Will they always exist? Is it fair that they keep winning? Will these murders keep on happening forever? If the stench of evil where to linger and be the huge elephant in the room forever than would your consider the universe we live in full of darkness? is the problem fixed?
Additional facts to help your faith:
God hated sinners in the old testament then loved sinners in the new testament to show how unworthy and undeserving we are of his love. We are unworthy to accept his gift which is forgiveness of sins and that's why its free because we can't buy it. We can't afford it. We can't buy it because were so unworthy. His gift and love underserving love is free. God could of ended us and made everything perfect again and it would have been just.
They say the bible is just a Jewish religion. Like us people, our image is in the likeness of god and the angels should not refute God for creating it, So shall us people on earth shall not refute the chosen people of God whom were given to write Gods word. A human isn't jealous of an angel who gets to guard Gods throne. Any regular person isn't jealous of a Jew who gets to be the Son of God. The father had to choose a lineage and let no other lineage be jealous. A horse isn't jealous of a camel because it can hold more water because that's just how god intended to be. Above all ACTS 10:34 Then Peter replied, "I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism ROMANS 2:11 For God does not show favoritism.

We are saved by Jesus Christ ALONE. We are not saved by OUR âfaithâ. We are saved by HIS Faith(Galatians 2:16,20 3:22) KJV!! He IS Faith. His name is FAITHFUL(Rev. 19:11). It is written on His thigh. We are saved by HIS Work. HE is faithful to save us. Any good works we do are prepared for us by HIM, for HIS glory. We are completely dependent on the mercy and grace of God, and the sacrifice of Lord Jesus for our salvation. The entire Bible is about Jesus. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is the very Word that saves us. He is Lord and God, Saviour and Sacrifice. He is the first and the last, the beginning and the end, Alpha and Omega.

no St Paul does not contradict
Its about context.
In Eph 2:15 the commandments on longer are reconciled through decrees, works of the Law.
He has paid the price for our sin so he reconciles it for us, we no need to perform then because death no longer hangs over us if we repent and confess,
and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.
St Anninas is St Paul's witness

Yes but they do not make us righteous
only the forgiveness of Christ does that

the commandments can only give us righteousness if we have been cleansed in the blood of Christ other wise our righteousness is like dirty rags (Isaah 64:5-6)
St Paul does not tell us that we should not keep the commandments of God in fact he tells us how to keep then which suprise suprise is the same way Jesus told us (rom 13:8-10)

Christ be with you
well you didn't read the verse YOU posted orginally so I am not surprised you don't read mine.
It clear YOU want YOUR version of the bible, not Gods.
Come to Christ
Let us not be fooled! We do not want to be one of those who will be turned away on that day when men stand before God. The way is narrow, and the road is straight, and FEW be that find it.
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Verse 22 MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Verse 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.
Our sin has set us all on the road to hell and no amount of good will fix the sin we have done.
If we want forgiveness for our sin and peace with God. If we want to escape eternal hell. If we want to go to heaven we must understand the following. We DO NOT get saved (go to heaven), get right with God, forgiven, by being good, by being religious, by just believing in God, by praying a prayer, being baptized, asking or accepting Jesus into our hearts, accepting Jesus as our personal Saviour, confessing our sins, joining a church, cleaning up our lives, doing penance, taking the bread and the wine, or doing all these things accumulative.
Salvation takes repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Acts 20:21. testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Make no mistake. We cannot be a friend of Christ and remain a rebel against God. The word repent, from the Greek word âmetanoiaâ, means a change of mind or direction.
God is not receiving those who almost or kind of repents. It is like the word About-face which is a 180 degree turn. We turn from not wanting God fully in our lives to willfully surrendering to Him to lead our lives.
When any person comes to the place where they are broken over their sin toward God to the point that they want to get right with God no matter what it will cost them they are in a state/spirit of repentance toward God. Luke 14:33 Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
We then take that heart we have towards God and place it on the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Master and that becomes faith. At that moment Godâs grace through Christ is freely applied to us and we are born again, saved from eternal hell and sealed by the Spirit so that we will never again return to the practice of sinning. Eph. 2:8,9, 1John 3:9,10.
Our first command after salvation is to be baptized.
Repentance of sin is the result of the new birth/salvation and will be part of the sanctification process and our new life with the Lord Jesus Christ, Eph 2:10. While we may sin from time to time after salvation it will never again be our practice 2Cor. 5:17, 1John 3:9,10.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
REV. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Good works do not save but itâs evidence of true faith.
That's the point of the message in the Bible and this message. There is a difference between a head belief and a heart belief. Only our faith in Jesus will save us, if we believe in Jesus we will try our best to follow his instructions. There is sin from the flesh I. E a slip up followed by repentance and there is wilful sin where we know something is bad but we chose to continue to sin. If you struggle to give up a certain sin the Bible says we should fast and pray to break any demonic strongholds the Devil may have over us. Take practical steps to avoid that sin and by our effort the Lord will be pleased and help us overcome it. Whenever I have fallen back into a certain sin its because I stopped taking shelter of the Lord.
I want so bad to be saved but I donât have works always in my heart, nor fruits. I donât know how to strengthen my faith but I desperately want to!

How come the thief on the cross went to heaven then he didn't do any works
@@bigal98761 Does the Bible contradict itself?
@@wolfwatchers That still doesn't prove faith alone. There is only one place in the Bible "faith alone" appears and it contradicts faith alone. No one is saying we can get to Heaven by ourselves. The fact God lets anyone at all in is merciful. He gives his grace to all, and nothing we do warrants this initial salvation. But if we choose to leave his grace, then we choose to not go to Heaven. How do we choose to remain in a state of grace? By doing good works (not works of the flesh or works of the law), doing what Jesus described the Sheep needing to do, because not doing those acts also loses your salvation as it did for the goats. Suffering, picking up our cross, bringing back lost sheep (protestants) repent out sins, obeying his commandments, taking communion, being regenerated through baptism and obeying the authorities Jesus established. All things we must do or not do to remain in his grace.
Hey brothers and sisters, I'm in need of prayer, because I've been caught up in the situation where I'm not willing to do the Lord's work, and practice "dead religion" where I seem to believe that because of Jesus, I'm free to live a comfortable life without persecution, and just not willing to change no matter what, I need the Lord's help truly always.
I'm in the same boat
We all feel this way at times. The Lord said i will never leave you nor forsake you. Put your faith on a test. Get real with God as God Almighty.
Saving faith is faith in action through obedience.
Repentance is incomplete without it being demonstrated by water baptism. Water baptism is incomplete of not followed by Spirit baptism.
Salvation is a free gift and there is nothing we can do to earn it, but even a free gift must be recieved in order for it to be ours
The word " recieve" in thd new tesramwnts original Greek means " to take hold of". Also b3ung saved is being born again and just as physical birth is the end result of a process, so is spiritual rebirth. Acts 2:38 is that process.
The thief on the cross didn't get baptized but he went to heaven
@bigal98761 The thief on the cross was under the old covenant to where baptism wasn't required for salvation. Plus look who he was talking to.
The new covenant began in Acts ch.2.
We could NEVER work our way to Heaven and Scripture is very clear about this. We our Saved through Grace from the blood shed by our Lord Jesus Christ for all who believe in HIM.
A great message Brother. I know a lot of people that say they are saved and still their works are bad. Thank you so very much for this message.
What if I spread the gospel and try to make.people believe in him am I doing a.great job.
I don't sin but I always feel guilty about doing it, sometimes I sin and try repent and I feel like Jesus is not forgiving me
How can I get closer to Jesus and believe in him more I need help
Kris Genys read His word (Bible) and talk (pray) to Him without ceasing, and His peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind.
All glory and love be to the HOLY TRINITY forever and ever amen đâââ...
As a new creation in Christ Jesus, I no longer indulge in worldliness. I strive to glorify God in what I say and do.
It's more like getting saved. Only God has the power to save and not our ability given the state we are in, so what's the works for.
For example if we are getting saved from fire by God, the works God requires us is not to go and fall back in the fire. Again that didn't save us, God alone did.
Simple but i am not sure if my illustration was understandable.
God allowed mankind free will for that particular reason. God created atheistâs because the millions of people who are Christians justified the means of creating them. The fact people who are atheists can still choose to accept or deny him (and live on earth for that matter) is a testiment to his grace, the grace WE DO NOT deserve.
Amen đđ

âWork out your salvation with fear and tremblingâ-Paul
âYou see that a person is justified by works and not by FAITH ALONE.â -James
Daniel, I love you and listened too all my life, I greatly appreciate the scriptural clarity you bring to the theological chaos of prodestantism. That being said, I have converted to orthodoxy. You should look into it, and church history. Nobody believed in saved by faith alone or sola scriptora until the reformation. I was deeply grieved by the lukewarmness of the church and the theological chaos and division that I looked into church history and what is called patristics to see what the early Christianâs believed. And what we have done as evangelicals is great a Christianity that is a mile line and an inch deep. Trying to replicate born again experiences. My mom claims to be born again is unbaptised, living in adultery, never goes to church. Is she saved? Weâll how can I argue against a Christianity that has convinced her she is. This is not how the early church operated.
Hey Austin, Iâm glad you took the time to share your honest thoughts and beliefs here about Eastern Orthodoxy and that you believe they are the one true apostolic church.
That being said, as someone who is a genuine believer in The Lord Jesus Christ, and as a person that would hate the thought of anyone going to the lake of fire, I must propose some genuine objections to the beliefs and practices of the Eastern Orthodox Church, as I believe they are (for the most part) contrary to scripture and could cost someone their salvation, and therefore their soul, if they remain believing in these Eastern Orthodox doctrines.
Firstly, the denial of justification by faith alone/apart from works is a very serious issue that we cannot take lightly. Sure, we can disagree on the use of icons/relics in the church building, etc. but the doctrine of how a man is justified is non-negotiable.
Iâm going to quote some scriptures from the New Testament that, in my opinion at least, prove beyond reasonable doubt the doctrine of justification by faith alone/apart from works:
âFor God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. âHe who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.â
John⏠â3âŹ:â16âŹ-â18⏠â(NKJVâŹâŹ)
âTherefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.â
Romans⏠â3âŹ:â28⏠â(NKJVâŹâŹ)
âBut to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,â
Romans⏠â4âŹ:â5⏠â(NKJVâŹâŹ)
âTherefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.â
Romans⏠â5âŹ:â1âŹ-â2⏠â(NKJVâŹâŹ)
âknowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.â
Galatians⏠â2âŹ:â16⏠â(NKJVâŹâŹ)
âFor by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.â
Ephesians⏠â2âŹ:â8âŹ-â9⏠â(NKJVâŹâŹ)
With regards to your claim that nobody believed in âsola fideâ or âsola scripturaâ before The Protestant Reformation, well Iâm just going to list a few names of Christians that were around in the early centuries who did believe in many views that Protestants would have today:
- Augustine of Hippo, a church father, had similar views on sin, grace, and the presence of Christ in the Eucharist to those that many Protestants would have today
- Jovinian was an early church theologian who believed in eternal security and a form of âsola fideâ who was sadly condemned as a heretic by the Roman Catholic Church for having these views and for also being an opponent of asceticism.
- Vigilantius was an early church theologian who condemned the practices of intercession for the dead and veneration of the saints
- Ratramnus was a 9th century theologian who denied transsubstantiation
- William of Ockham denied papal infallibility and believed in a form of âsola scriptureâ, hundreds of years before the Protestant Reformation
- Tertullian was an early church theologian (and one could argue early church father) who rejected the belief in transsubstantiation, affirmed iconoclasm and denied the perpetual virginity of Mary.
@@dylansheridan2892 appreciate the long message there. I did read it. I think its funny how you quote John 3:16 and then say if Iâd donât believe in faith alone through grace alone then Iâm not saved. So in trying to escape papal supremacy prodestantism has made thousands of popes. Unless I believe in sola fide im a heretic and everybody before the reformation was a heretic and baptized wrong, and did the Eucharist wrong, and the liturgy wrong. This is the arrogance of the reformation. Instead of looking backward they re-invented the faith. Luther said, Iâd rather drink blood with the pope then wine with the radicals, referring to anabapists. Supporting the killing of one another. And now they have been constantly reforming with endless denominations to the point youâve got people rolling around on the ground in trances screaming before the altars. In trying to get away from the pope you invented thousands, and the theological divide will only increase. Iâm tired of the theological chaos, I believe in unity through patristics. Just because you found some examples doesnât prove that the general view is against what you believe in. Even the earliest letter of clement talks about bishops being the succession of apostles. And prodestants donât even have the bishops. Every prodestant flavour claims to be the authentic early church but they arenât. They are a break away from the true church. A branch off the corrupted Catholics. How can prodestants be the âone holy catholic and apostolic church,â that was âonce and for all handed down to the saints.â Prodestant church services are absolutely unrecognizable from the early church.
@@austinfurgason3634 I think you would benefit a lot from taking a look at a series titled âThird Adamâ by an Independent Fundamentalist Baptist preacher named Spencer Smith on CZcams who shares a lot of the concerns you have about the radical charismatic/Pentecostal movement that is infiltrating modern day Protestant churches today. I would highly recommend that you check it out.
We could go over and back for ages about what early/late church fathers and protestant reformers said and didnât say, but the fact of the matter is, scripture says what it says, and the ones that I quoted earlier make for a very compelling case for the doctrine of justification by faith apart from works, donât you agree?
You want my opinion on who the âone true holy apostolic catholic churchâ is? I believe itâs the Body of Christ, the invisible Church of saved believers from every denomination from all around the world. Although I am interested in Baptist successionism and the âtrail of bloodâ theory, Iâll leave you to look into that in your own time.
@@dylansheridan2892 thanks Dylan I appreciate that your knowledgeable about Christianity and obviously take it seriously. Iâve been to a reformed baptist church and Mennonite church I really appreciate. I grew up Pentecostal and charismatic. Later to find out what I thought was real Christianity was only a 100 year old denomination. I found videos of the charismatic jewel called the Toronto blessing. I fell out of my chair in shame. I wouldnât be fooled again and did a long research on Christianity history which Iâm still looking into. So we probably wonât agree but Iâd say it sounds like you truly want to obey the scripture so I appreciate that unlike the Pentecostals who would say you have a âreligious spiritâ for wanting too. If you donât know already the Orthodox Church believes in Holy Tradition.
2 Thessalonians 2:15, ESV: So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter.
And John ends his shorter letters with:
Final Greetings
Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
And Paul quoted Jesus in Acts, yet Jesus never spoke these words in the gospel accounts:
âIt's more blessed to give than receiveâ (Acts 20:35).
St John ends his gospel saying:
Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
So I know I wonât change your mind, but so that you understand orthodox mind. We believe in Holy Tradition that there were teachings given person not included in the gospels past down by apostles in person. Which are proven by above verses. The apostles quote Jesus sayings that are not written in gospels (above).
And so everyone is coming to the bible with a bias and with there interpretation. Whatâs is clear from scripture is a heresy to another. This is why all prodestants arenât lutherans. Thereâs was serious disagreement. I decided to believe in Holy Tradition, the echumenical councils that put the bible together, the creeds, doctrines on the Trinity and nature of Christ. I donât believe that Germans in the 16th century had a better interpretation of scripture then those Greeks, discipled by the apostles in the first centuryâs following who received the gospels in there own language. Therefore I choose to interpret scripture through the apostolic fathers and patristics and the councils. When the church was truely one holy Catholic Church and pre-denominational. I follow the liturgy like those given by John Chrystosom bishops who came out of Diocletian persecutions not office works from SBC in America. This is the orthodox mind.
@@dylansheridan2892 sola scriptora and sola fide happened in response to the abominations of the Catholic Church at the time. And where mad rightly so. The early church did not believe these things. They believed the scriptures where infallible, but they also believed in holy tradition, and the echumenical councils and creeds

If we have FAITH , GOOD WORKS come naturally
Allow me to save yâall this whole video, yes without works the faith is dead itâs fake and not real,
but because you are saved by Christ you do good works,
not necessary you have to do works in order to be saved,
But that we do good works because we are saved.
Ephesians 2:10 and Philippians 2:13 says itâs God who does and plans workmanship in us and through us
James chapter 2 is not promoting legalism notice how he says in verse 14 faith that doesnât have works, can THAT FAITH save him,
Heâs not talking about a saving faith, itâs fake itâs dead.
Faith is not some morality scale, you either have it or you donât.
This is Very timely
I hope this will help my brothers.
The letter of James is not written to the Church.
*Paul says that man is justified by faith only, without works= Rom 4:1-6/Tit 3:5-7/Eph 2:8,9/Act 13:39
*James says that man is justified by works and faith=Jas 2:24
*in Jas 2:21-23 James is quoting from Gen 22:1-18
*in Rom 4:3 Paul is quoting from Gen 15:4-6
Both speakers are addressing two different groups of people. Paul is addressing the Church and James is addressing the 12 tribes of Israel as in Jas 1:1.
Therefore there is no contradiction to what they both say. But if we say that they are both addressing the Church, there is a contradiction. And we are not rightly dividing the word of God, as in 2Tim 2:15 King James bible.
*James says, ask if you lack wisdom Jas 1:5
But
Paul says, Christ Jesus became for us wisdom 1Cor 1:30, we don't have to ask for wisdom, we have wisdom in the new man.
*James asks a question in Jas 2:14 , James says = (if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?), No it can not. Future Israel believers need works and faith to be saved. A lot of churches read pass this question and do not answer it.
In James 4:4, James is addressing the 12 tribes of Israel. James calls Israel Adulterers.

So faith , believing in God and his teachings and doing good things will get you into heaven. We all sin so how will we ever know if we have done enough ..since we sin..if people in the Bible have cast out demons and still didint get it? I have been trying and praying I don't feel any connection with God, Jesus or the holy spirit it just gets so confusing every day. I can't help but feel bad for the people in hell it's so bad that the people who are there would they have done what they did on earth if they really knew . Nobody wants to burn for eternity
Romans 10:9-10 Those who Jesus said they prophesy in His Name, and cast out demons in His Name, did they ever receive Him as Romans 10:9-10 says or did they just do it without receiving Him? And still sinned without repenting? If you have received Him and still don't feel a connection, don't trust your feelings. Study His Word to increase your faith. And speak His Word. Say, I have a connection to God, I am a born again child of God, etc. Whatever you come across in God's Word that you think you need to confess with your mouth.
Donât worry about it. A relationship with Jesus/god(the father) is like an actual relationship Iâve learned. People want to keep the frame a loving presence of god, and the joy that goes along with it. True fellowship with him will have long stretches of when he doesnât give u that. Just realize itâs a test to see if u can continue be devote to him. Does that help u?

The letter of Matthew is not written to the Church. In Matthew 7:22,23, Jesus is not addressing the Church. The Church has not started yet. Look at what Jesus says in Matthew 16:18, =(...I will build My Church..). The Church was a Mystery, nobody knew about the Church before Jesus death. Eph 3:5,6
Scriptures to support=(The Mystery of the Church) revealed.
Paul says = (...you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) in Ephesians 3:4, which is talking about the mystery of the Church that God revealed to Paul.
Scriptures to support this= in Ephesians 3:3, Paul says = (...as I have briefly written already), that's talking about Ephesians 1:22,23/Ephesians 2:11-18
and
Paul says= (...in one body...) In Ephesians 2:16, which is the Church.
afterwards in Ephesians 3:6, Paul says =(...the same body), which is the Church.
Then it talks about the principalities and powers not knowing about the Church in Ephesians 3:10.
It's all in reference to the Church which in other ages was not made known to mankind, as the Church has (now) been revealed in Ephesians 3:5,6
I love u , god bless you â€ïž
When you say works do you mean career? Or do you mean working in the name of faith? Some people donât want to work let alone canât work. Since the achievements of this world will only be remembered by the people you impacted.
Works in this context means, good deeds.
Spiritual activities, preaching about God, going to Church, giving in Charity, being a good person according to the Bible and not what we think is good. Being obedient to the instructions of the Bible whilst refraining from wilful sin. The Bible explains only a small portion of the earth make it into heaven yet there are over 2 billion Christians on Earth. I pray that we can all take our relationship with Jesus serious including myself. I don't want to be in the vast majority of Christians who don't make it in to heaven. Salvation is by Faith alone not by your works because we all sinners in the sight of God.. However after you got saved by faith God's predestined you become like Christ to walked in a newness of life.
Faith = Salvation produces good works..
No repentance then No forgives of our sins

@@alejandrorosales2273 I was saying that repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins
Yes as faith comes from hearing the word of God. Repentance with a compunctual heart. As God draws us to him it will lead us to repentance.
Works and deeds will not get you into heaven, only accepting Jesus as your lord and savior and having faith in him. Only Gods grace will save us however we as Christians must try our best to do God's will and turn from temptation, but we still are sinners and fall short. That's why Jesus died for us.

What works did the thief on the cross do?
The Bible says that we have the righteousness of God when we believe. James 2 is not talking about salvation becuase otherwise it would contradict sooo much more scripture. Many passage says that you dont have to work for salvation and one appaerntly does!? No thats a contradiction. Matthew 7 is talking about those who trusts in their works and not in Jesus works. He said only the one who do the will of my Father and in John 6 says the will of the father is to believe in Jesus! Ofc we should still not see salvation as an excuse to sin or not do works we should still love and work hard for God. But its not what saves us and if you find yourself dont do as much works but still believe than you are still saved because it is those who BELIEVE who are saved! Have a blessed day.
Iâm impressed you got this one correct. I was afraid you were gonna use the word âaloneâ after faith
I feel like this is a difficult concept for a lot of Christians to grasp and many simply havenât. Kudos to you for explaining it so well
You misunderstood the teaching. He is saying faith alone, that's what saves you. What he is saying is that real salvific faith will have good works with it....the good works you do don't save you.
In simple
Faith in Jesus = Salvation + works (fruits) will come as a result of genuine faith and walking in the Spirit.
He is not saying faith alone. Heâs saying we are saved by grace through real faith.
Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. KJV And sin is evil. God repented 38 times in the bible. If we be disobedient to god we will be chastised and lose rewards in heaven. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone through Christ alone. As long as we live in this Sinful world we will still sin. Nowhere in the bible does it say "repent of your sins". Repent means to change your mind. James 2 is always taken out of contexts by these teachers. it was talking a beneficial faith for other people.
Iâm not gonna assume that someone who says âRepent of your sinsâ is unsaved. But having said that, there is Godly repentance. And there is Judas repentance. Donât want Judas repentance. Would make sense to not be a bad example to both other believers and unbelievers.
