Candlemass has never put anything bad out. Every album is stellar. Johan does NOT sound like how he did when they first started. However, I still love his voice today. I was worried there wouldn't be much power in his voice until I heard this track which is killer! Can't wait to buy the bundle when that comes out!

Personally I essentially buy discs, sometimes deluxe versions, especially if it's a band I love. I am new to the discography of Candlemass so I just ordered the Nuclear Blast Years box set, because the CDs are cheaper in this form, even if I - of course - prefer the albums independently. And this is before buying the classic Epicus Doomicus Metallicus and other Nightfall ones.
Johan is the vocals of Candlmass, glad he is back. The true sound has been restored, together with Tony lommi more power. Power And Strength metal heads. Rock music will never die. Others will.
Im a little disappointed the bands guitarist, didnt do this song. I mean Iommi is already a houshold name..but this band and the guitarist is still underrated in my opinion

I found my most favorites LP's in this order: Epicus..., King of Grey islands and Nighfall. Love Lowes voice and especialy on King of grey islands but Johan... Johan's voice in Epicus... it kicks arses so much... I had been grieving for many years for Johan's quit from Candlemass and never hoped he could come back. But Impossible cames true as God of Doom heard my praying!!! And now they are kicking arses like never before! Hope it would be Eternal!

Right now, i feel the grammy award for best metal performance is a tough choice between this masterpiece, humanicide by Death Angel, and 7empest by Tool. I don't personally think killswitch should win because i dont like metalcore but thats my opinion. the winner will most likely be tool because its tool. they're bound to win. but this song is just...... holy shit. i didnt think it'd be this good. this is my first candlemass song. what a way to get into a band.

Another good track i think a door to doom is shaping up to be a good album, i admit i do miss messiah his vocals were so unique and really suited the epic nature of the music but it's great to have johan back in the band even though he sounds more like mats leven now !
Pretty much all of Candlemass's various vocalists have been fucking killer. imo we've got enough albums with Messiah to enjoy and it's great to have Johan back for more when he only got one album so far prior to this one. If they were gonna bring anyone back I'd definitely pick him or the dude from Chapter VI, who I also wish had stayed around for more htan one album.
