Man, I can just imagine the emotions he was going through on the sideline. He had his helmet and cold weather jacket on all game long which means that he wanted to be warm, didn't really want to be bothered, and he thought that he may go into the game if Stidham screwed up or got hurt.

This has got to be the weirdest win I've ever felt. Yeah, we swept the Chargers, but too many things are crowding my mind...including elimination. Only 1 TD scored off of Lil'Jordan Humphrey playing like a boss, but that was kind of it for "the spark". There's too much talk about Russell Wilson, but all I'll say is I want him back for next year, and I wish he was never benched. Up to the last game of the season now, and while we're missing the playoffs for the 8th year in a row, we can still put it all out there and beat up the Raiders. I wasn't impressed by this win either. Would it have been better with Wilson? Idk. We squeezed a win out of the Chargers, gonna be a tough game against the Raiders. Can't remember the last time we beat them and don't care to look it up, but it's been a long time.

But yes, let's blame the guy who went 26 TDs - 8 INTs in his first year in a new system instead of a bottom 5 defense that gave up 70 points at one time. You can ignore stats for a few games, but 15 games are a big enough sample size to show that Russ wasn't the main problem

That Patriots loss was very costly. I'm still pissed about that game. To me, this win is bitter sweet. Bitter because we fell short of the playoffs regardless, but sweet because it's always nice getting a sweep of a division rival. Even though that division rival has been bad this year. You have to take the small wins when you can.

Exactly. Not a fan of Payton but Stidham didn’t cost 8 players and a huge contract. It was a cost benefit analysis. Who expected Stidham to play as well as Wilson that’s why he on 2 year 10 million contract which may or may not be guaranteed. If Wilson got injured and the Broncos had to pay 39 mil and another 37 mil on top and he weren’t available these same people would have said he should have been benched we out of playoffs.

I was excited to see what the Chargers were going to do this season, especially after the Kellen Moore addition. It's been a real letdown so far. Hopefully they come back better after a strong draft.

Denver "Should" have beaten the Raiders, Commanders, Jets, Texans and Patriots....but they Didn't. And they failed to make the Playoffs AGAIN.
This was an amazing year for Wilson. He played lights out and helped Denver almost make the playoffs. I am a Seattle fan and this was a great wake up call for him as he had to work hard to prove himself again and he certainly did. He is playing as good as he did when the Seahawks won the Super Bowl. We did have the best defense that year. But the only area of Wilsons game that has gotten worse is his scrambling ability and thats because at 35 he is just not quite as quick and agile as he was at 25. But it would be great if Denver gives him back to Seattle. We would need Denver to cover some of his salary though because he is not worth 50 million a year.

In this game, losing yards almost every time on a third and long by running up the gut, but continuing to try that play again and again (and then settling for a field goal). No, the Bears would be very smart to draft Harrison first overall to give Fields another weapon. Him and Moore would be the best 1-2 punch. I don’t think Caleb Williams is an NFL quarterback, I don’t think he read defenses.
Chiefs need to trade up in the draft to get him. They are the team with the worst receiving core in the west.
I doubt it since they are sitting at 6 or 7 pick. They need a DT and CB more than receivers. If the new management is wise, they will take care of the needs of the team.

I’ve been a Broncos fan since 1987. I’ve seen good teams and bad teams. Broncos will eventually become a dominant team again, just be patient. And as far as benching Russ, it was a smart business decision. Russ is not someone you build a championship team around, at least at this stage of his career. Hopefully it’s a great draft next year, and players stay healthy.

Yes it does feel that way to me too. Also I feel that the Chiefs are no longer going to own the AFC West in the future. They are now very very beatable. I see an AFC West division title next year for the Broncos as well as a serious playoff showing without Russell Wilson on the team next year. I think coach Payton's Broncos will do very well next season. Many people will laugh at this assessment but my gut tells me the Broncos are going to turn the corner and be very good next year.
Exactly I would get the outrage if this was a young prime Russ but the dude is 35 people keep talking about building a team around him but he’s too expensive and by the time that happens he’ll be almost 40
