Thank you Rabbi Alon, this was an excellent teaching of the Parsha, it makes sense, if HaShem, Blesses us with certain talents, and if we become abservent, why would, HaShem, want us to loose or refrain from that talent, I don't think so. Just that we would want to refine that talent, in alinement with Torah, Honoring HaShem.
This is the dilemma I face with the torah observant community, meaning that the social behavior is scripted. The conformist dress, the idolization of rabbis, the step in line mentality. Since I went to a yeshiva 15 years ago I never went of the path, but I never found my way in the community. People off the bat don't take me seriously because I dress very modern and shave my face, but I learn torah every day. A Chassidishe bochur with a beard and full suit will be taken more seriously 100% because of his external appearance, despite the fact he may be lacking torah knowledge or proper middos. I just adopted the accept me or screw off mentality. Once size does not fit all. Every person has a share in torah and can be happy keeping the mitzvos, but you have to seriously check yourself who you really are.
