Somehow I think he had to move to Real Madrid you can't really turn them down. I think the price tag will hinder him the most though... You can't protect a player with such an enormous price tag, eg Andy Carroll and Fernando Torres. I am sure though given his capabilities he will succeed.

Reading this comment in 2024, its surreal what he went to achieve at Real Madrid and then retired as well.
