It must be very difficult to translate Japanese to English. I know that Japanese can be slightly obscure in a way how sentences are built on the meaning of the previously said information. So some expressions are really trusted to the listener with their meaning. (They can have several slightly different meanings and the listener has to figure it out what the person tried to convey.)
