I was surprised that Simon broke down so much when the last guy of the night sang the song he sang about loosing his friend until i found out that Simon had just recently lost his mother. I can imagine that his rendition of the song made Simon relive the loss of his mother just a short time before. And his reaction at the end after hearing that song sung for all of the children to raise money for them was the same as mine. He's a reminder that no matter how hard or mean you think some people are deep down inside they all have a heart that can be melted by the right situation. Simon is an example of a brutally honest person when he needs to be, and a man with a heart of pure gold when it's called for. I admire the man for both qualities. I wish more people in this world were like him.

Actually if he hits the buzzer he doesn't like you and sees no potential. If he holds up his hand to stop you it's because he sees something in you but it just hasn't been released yet and is probably gonna give advice on how he thinks you could do it. I know a few times when he held his hand up he tried and succeeded in some cases to find the right song for a singer in order to properly judge them. For all he knows it's just the song choice holding them back.

I love this girl. She sings and writes her own songs @ 13 years young. Watching her father battle cancer and yet she stayed strong throughout the competition. Don't stop singing ever. Evie, your father is so proud of you! I saw when you auditioned. The look in his eyes of such emotion, showed how proud to see his daughter sing so beautifu her own song, I cried. I also lost someone dear to me 10 years ago, at the young age of 27. His four kids range from 2 to 9 years old. I am blessed watching them grow with a part of him. As you do of your dad. It still hurts but not as much. Time heals all wounds. Time!

Simon's last reaction seemed the most genuine to me. Sobbing was the only way he could find to express his feelings, most touching. Just when I think I don't like Simon, he pulls me in with his emotion, reminding me we are all in this together.
The one right before it was but he was really trying to hide it. He had lost his mom shortly before that and the song really hit him hard, that's why he didnt want to speak because he didnt want to have to explain it all. If you watch the full audition they show him leaving after and Cheryl is very concerned cause she knows what's wrong but she doesnt know what to do.
I blubbered through that whole song . Not only does he have an amazing voice but I lost my youngest daughter to cancer .and I feel the same way It touched my broken heart.
Whatever most people say about Simon is a mean, and illicit judgement of those who cannot stand the truth. Simon is a deeply passionate, honest, and genuine person. It is evident that Simon gets a lot of opposition for being outspoken and honest, however, these are the most precious values a human being can display. Keep on going, Simon, you are my favourite.
In my opinion, Simon is kind hearted. He is just too honest to judge one's performance. Sometimes his sharp intuition n judgement brings betterment to the performer.
I love Simon. He truly is a kind hearted person and he helps guide and direct singers to a wonderful future. Look at Susan Boyle. Sheâs a multimillionaire now which I feel deserves every cent. Simon also anonymously donates to organizations and charities...which shows heâs very humble.

I wish more men were given the permission to cry. My husband is a tatted, motorcycle riding, martial artist with arms like tree trunks. This guy is a "man's man". But lemme tell you, when I was critically ill, when our daughter (his step daughter) made him a book for Father's Day, he shed tears. I would never see him as anything other than my super hero but the fact that he will allow himself to be vulnerable makes him moreso a hero in my eyes, and every stitch of a "real man".
The first time I saw my dad cry, was when our dog was dying. Even the strongest men can't keep it together when their life long best friend passes away.

simon is NOT rude in my opinion. he's just a genuine person and he doesn't hesitate to tell you the truth, even if the truth hurts. he's an amazing person. he's also very kind and caring too! i hope people stop about him being the rude and arrogant stereotype.

There are a lot of contests that make me cry and I felt the same as Simon and the rest of the judges on some of these. It amazes me at some of these people that comes on the stage and open their hearts to the world about some of the struggles that no one should have to go through and then stand their and sing their hearts out or tell a story about a tragic event for the world to see. I think it takes a very special kind of person to do that.
He is so kind and is the best judge, He can find the talent, most people hate him because he speak the truth.
But I hate him bc of what he did to one direction.
He was miserably wrong some times like when TORI freaking KELLY was there. She is literally a vocal legend but he rejected her, judging on her dress...i dont hate Simon but things like this are....big UGH

This is reality and when you come onto the stage, thatâs when you have to face the hard truth. He told kids that they werenât good in maybe a ârude mannerâ but everyone knows thatâs just how Simon is and his measly comments of âyou canât singâ or like âyou arenât goodâ shouldnât drive people to committing suicide. The bigger picture is that something else is happening with them so you canât blame it on Simon, heâs a man of telling what he thinks. Also when did he âbody shameâ?

If someone wants to kill themselves because of what one man *said,* then that is their problem and their problem only. Simon deserves everything, man. 16:41 I tear up or full on cry every time I hear this song by Josh. I lost one of my good friends a few years ago to an accidental drug overdose, and it absolutely crushed me for a long time. When I found this song, it really helped me process parts of my feelings and a lot of the guilt I placed on myself, and I'm in a better place with it now.
Simon isnt rude at all, hes just being a good judge and hes just doing as he is told, doing his job. Look, fine maybe he can be rude sometimes but we can't just judge a book by its cover, I guess, I used to hate Simon, but now that I've been watching Britain's Got Talent more often, I've noticed that he isn't that bad.
