Aurora (especially together with Silja Sol) can make it sounding so beautiful, that someone can almost forget, that this is a song about domestic violence.

did she personally comment on it being domestic abuse. because i feel like it can be attributed to many traumatic things. I always knew there was this trauma attached to this song.

One wonders how is Norway educating its children we have Angelina Jordan and Aurora and its worth watching their version of Norways Got Talent. There is so much Talent in this comparatively sparcely populated country.

Aurora surrounds herself with accomplished artists such as Silja Sol here.

  • @vincentmb238

Silja is the name of the other.
They have done a lot of work together in Aurora's band, Silja's voice underlining exceptionally well Aurora's already sublime one.
They don't sing together anymore, even if I hope to see them doing occasional little things.
This is one of my favorite Aurora songs. And my favorite version.
I'm so glad you made a reaction to it.
It was beautiful and a great share. Thank you.

Beware of her lyrics, they are as deep as her music. I think her diction is so presice from her first language, Norwegian.
When you are ready for it, the Nidarosdomen Concert is a pure musical Masterpiece. All the songs arranged to suit the acoustics and take advantage of all the available backing artists.

Hello, you have chosen a very good song. AURORA is the queen of harmonies. This is a masterpiece.
I find it interesting that the lyrics are so sad (violence in relationships leading to death) and on the other hand the music is very beautiful (harmonies) and doesn't give me that sad feeling. The music is more soothing. This contrast struck me in many of her sad songs. Does she want to spread hope? You can change something. You can't let it get to that point. And then everything is better. An invitation to change something, to change yourself. You have it in your own hands. Is that what this contrast is supposed to do?
And let's not forget that this was sung live on a radio station. Many artists want this perfection when they go into a studio and after many, many attempts have recorded their song. And let's not forget that this perfection would not have been possible without her accompaniment and backing vocalist. Silja Sol is also an outstanding singer and musician. AURORA is lucky to work with such good artists. Or is it her ability to choose the right ones? This is also the case with the Murder song at the Nobel Peace Prize concert - as you have already seen.
You should also check out the songs she played at the HAIK concert. The concert took place in the forest where she played as a child. AURORA is very close to nature. And that was the perfect place for a concert. Another important and correct lyrics. Another important and correct lyrics. She sees things at such a young age that other people don't understand in their entire lives.

This song is black humor, which I would not have expected from AURORA. Did she write the song for Halloween?
    Greetings from Germany

OK, I think I've now seen all of your reaction videos concerning Aurora. Unlike SO many other reactors you seem to truly "get" her. This performance in particular. I consider it the best video I've ever seen due to the video quality, audio quality, and the level of the performance itself. (the two other songs, "Churchyard" and "Animal" done at this session are right up there too.) Look, 70 is in my rear view mirror, still play in two cover bands (drums), seen and heard a lot of music in my time. But, nobody has ever reached that deeply into me and resonated the way Aurora can. Excellent and "on the mark" reactions, you now have my sub.

Ah yes, Aurora and Silja Sol. Match made in heaven. Sadly, Silja Sol is now going back to her solo career (sad for the duets, but probably good for her).

When Aurora goes in to the section saying you know it happened andf her head does a little twitch is a physical sign her body shown to trauma and the next section when she sings so quiet and starts tapping her body language up and down on her toes is a way to calm yourself so she remembered something that happened to her and it actually caused her to have a physical reaction there. Insane.

Looking forward to more of these awesome tunes and reactions and sharing some of my favorites as well. For my first ever request I would love to see your reaction to this singer/mandolin player and little-known gem from Northern California. Her name is AJ Lee of AJ Lee & Blue Summit and this request is for her cover of Neil Young's Harvest Moon. This version is with the band called The Brothers Comatose. I actually think Aurora loses a lot of soul in the production studio, i don't like any of her produced stuff very much. Its like her delicate voice loses a bit of its life in the production. Live she is a beast though. The production studio is a cage and the producer is a jailer, she is like a delicate bird that deserves to fly free.
