What level are you so far this wipe in Tarkov?
lvl 25 uwu
also i really dig you shit man, keep it up b!

Lvl 9 ... but work and life have priority xD SHiiiiiettt 4+ hours is a great day for me

Step 1: play the game
Step 2: keep playing even if it makes you wanna peel your eyes out
mmmmmm yeees eye peeler
Yes, this. I'd be higher level if I just had the balls to just queue up
@@Lightrunnerr this resonates with me so deep. I literally scav more than i pmc. Not cos gear fear, but knowing i have skill issue and already screwed against the ai XD
@@deathtrapsnap give it some time, i had the same when i started 2 and half wipe ago...
bought a pc februari 2022 and it was the first time ever i played with m&k... been a console main my whole life.
learning m&k in tarkov is just straight up torture, but worth it in the end....
my experience + that from tons of other people...... you start gettin better at tarkov around the 500 hr playtime mark.
@@Happythings354 although this comment is really close to my personal experience too, im actually 2k hours logged on the game. Im still trash XD
A sneaky trick I've seen is to search your squamate's backpacks before you extract. Basically right at extract, your team all drops bags and searches them, identifying anything they haven't seen before. This can give you a boost of EXP just before you get out, and if you do this multiple raids it really adds up early wipe. You just gotta make sure you're safe and don't have any sticky fingered friends lol
woah - good tip. thanks for this
And if you see anything good in your friends bag, maybe slip it into your secure container 😉
I do pick up a lot of loot just to toss it back out for the xp, but had never thought of doing this, we should see how much of a difference this makes for my group
Step 1: find a squadmate
@@eliasvogt5617 mission failed, we'll get them next time
Plays woods 15 times to get scav kills without body armor and scav kills 40 meters away, dies every game.
Same bro
dont do them both at the same time lol
@@TheLastEpiscopalian why not ? I find these quest very easy since you just have a few scavs to kill. Only 4 or 5 right ?
@@Tcmmy131 yes but this person is saying they die every game
@@TheLastEpiscopalian i see
My squad and I do a lot of these, most recently we started searching every single body we came across, no matter if it was from our fight or not, that adds up VERY quickly. I had > 1300xp on Factory and didn't kill a scav or PMC, just from searching, looting and exploring.
Great tip
People sleep on the loot XP, make sure you pickup everything you see even if you don't want it, just ctrl click it in and then back out of your inventory for the XP.
Forever in marauder class. Lol feels bad man
I'm really slow at leveling - but I noticed a few things that reaaally boosted it for me:
1. Scav less - the XP you get while scaving goes towards your scav level, not pmc
2. Examine with your pmc, not scav - bring items in after scaving and examine in stash
3. Heal with meds, not cash service from therapist - this I only do after it stops being free - you get xp for healing
I never really thought about healing with meds after a raid, thanks!
Unless you're really down bad for heals it's honestly most worth it to heal in stash lvl 1-5 while it's free, it'll get you through that period a lot quicker depending on how your raids go
@@tings.he said that
@@bonesaw36 No he said that he starts doing it AFTER lvl 5. Learn to read.
Have clear objectives for each raid, preferably multiple ones. Choose raid pathing to arrive at certain areas (an object you need to get out with, buildings you need to discover, high PMC traffic areas, etc) based on whether you want to find or avoid PVP. Try to complete multiple objectives during the same raid.
Thanks for the awesome guides i cant wait to start playing
Trying to grind up to 15 for the Flea. Thanks for the video, I'll be subscribing!
Everything in this video is so true. I am now in my third wipe, I found Jesse on my first wipe and learned a lot from his and others videos. I got to level 44 and had a 60 percent survival rate my first wipe. Last wipe I got to level 60, had all streamer items and was only 5 tasks away from kappa. This wipe I also see so much improvement. I don't think I'll go for kappa as I don't think it's worth it anymore. But I'm already level 33, I have fought teams as a solo and came out on top. You playing and dying yeah it sucks but you learn from it. I use to avoid all fights but now I am not scared to fight, yeah I die still but you can learn so much by just playing and watching videos. Great video
0:19 I'd just like to say that I appreciate how concise and informative the intro was. It was very satisfying how perfect your wording was. Your smile at the end even kinda showed how proud you were of it. It was like a well written rap verse. I have OCD, so that's why I noticed and appreciated it enough to leave this long ass drawn out comment.
Ohh, hot tip on watching the XP quantity on checking bodies as an indicator of juicy loot-- it's my third or fourth wipe and I never realized that.
"leave pvp"
i dont follow it, it follows me
Im late to this but somewhat new to Tarkov..your content is so fantastic for newer players learning the game. thanks bro
let me know if you wanna team up!
very helpful, love your content!
great video as per usual Jesse!
I’ve been customizing my play style around smg’s a lot this wipe, the ump is such a cheap good smg with rails for a scope, laser, fore-grip, etc.
There's a different style and vibe in this video - I like it!!
Hmmmm interesting
This is such great advice. It will make playing th egame more fun than just dying each round and spending money. Like I have been doing. Thank you for sharing
Always informative.
jesse makes the most helpful vids
Great advice!
It’s a good idea to have a raid plan before you go in. I for one, focus on quest items and try to hoard items for future quests as well. Last wipe I had hoarded some items beforehand and completed 6 quests at the same time, instead of grinding them one by one. I also try to avoid PvP early wipe and focus on leveling, as if you lose a gear set early, it’s hard to get gear again with locked traders!
Appreciate the content as always my man. Keep up the good work.
very nice :) learned some thing!
1:45, more to this point, if you leave a fight (even if you kill two out of a three man), a lot of times that team you were fighting will grab their teammates gear and reset, meaning that team is no longer on the map leaving you more free to go around and loot other areas and kill scavs for xp. It can be also be far more profitable leaving gear on the table to go loot keys and high value spawns than it is to grab potential gear as gear doesn't sell for much money and you can't put high end gear on the flea.
Really great point, I never considered this. Reminds me that I've had some of these fights turn into VoIP negotiations. "Hey, want to grab your guys' stuff? We'll move on." We had a stand-off in dorms that resulted in everyone still alive extracting, win-win.
Gear also weighs much more
Learning map flow is a huge, huge benefit to survive. People just run straight into hot zones as a solo then cry that they can't survive.
Thanks Jesse. The dads of Tarkov appreciate you.
level 10 with just more than a hundred play time here. I saw a video from your channel yesterday, in which you mentioned play the game slow, keep distance, in it you were using a scope and AK. So I took AKM, and mod it with scope. Even with the shittiest 7.62x39 round, a headshot puts down enemy. It is a lot easier to snipe and survive raids.
I think it'll surprise people how fast they can level up while questing and not dying. By not dying I just mean not running at gunshots, especially if you have a quest item or something. I shot to level 26 super quick while working and going to the gym. But then my pc broke :( I order a BEEFY new one tho :)
And I work 7 days in a row then 2 days off. If I had set weekends off I could level even faster and im nothing special
You’re 100% right that’s what I’ve been doing, and my survival percentage has went up dramatically
Grats ok the new PC what's the new one rocking?
@@txxvictorious4120 Its called the Gaming RDY NTBG205 from iBuyPower. Definitely cheaper choices out there, like building yourself. But I had some credits for them from a previous purchase. Main reason I got it was because it was pre-built and they'd send it out asap. Rocking a 4080, i9-13900kf, 32gb ddr5 ram, liquid cooling, 2tb ssd.
I can't say it was a smart financial decision, but maybe it'll propel me to be a successful content creator😂😂
When I first started this game, I was a rat. I would crouch slow walk every where and flinch at every sound. It would take forever to progress in the game.1700 hours later, im a proud honey badger. I can comfortably take on duos but ill scurry if theres a squad. If i had all the time in the world, id feel confident in hitting max traders in around 3-4 weeks. Feels good to see this game blow up and keep releasing new content. Its the only game that has kept me playing consistentl.
Jesse : I’m touching all the bodies !
Staff : sir. This is a morgue …
I find it relaxing to go hunt scavs in the Woods. Open environment with poor visibility supports slow and steady pace. 5-men hurt trains are easy to spot and avoid, lots of AI (really spiced up my experience early wipe) and tasty loot. What else to you need to relax after work?
jesus these videos are so informative and fucking well put together. thanks shittons meng
I partially agree with looting people mid gunfight. If you can see they got a better helmet, faceshield, armor.. then definitely take a quick peek, or if your gun went empty.
"Touch everybody u can!" Thats a good tip, bro 😆
Dying actually severely reduces the amount of exp gained in a raid, sometimes even to near zero. If you kill three PMCs and die to the forth, the exp you get is almost as if you killed nothing. So like the video says, prioritize survival. Sometimes you just have to walk away
it's literally just minus 300 and the extra 30% so 1000 xp earnt would become 1690 for surviving or 3000 xp would become 4200. significant loss for not surviving, but no where near as severe of a penalty as you are suggesting
as someone with a fulltime job i dont have all the time in the world to play and neither do my friends however we figured out how to get to flea market at least within a couple days. basically we just main factory with a player ona our team naked so hes tagged and cursed and all the scavs seek us out. we just drop gear for whoever is tagged and cursed and youll end up with at least 5-10 scav skills every raid, sometimes you dont survive but dont bring anything too spenny adn it will work out better in the end
thank you for the video
I would add (as part of questing): look ahead on your quest items! At minimum, look at the chart on the wiki that shows you what items are required found-in-raid for quests, and start hoarding them immediately. It usually seems like the game has a way of knowing what items you need for an active quest and then REFUSING to spawn any of them in your raids, so you'll be a happy boi if you show up to Therapist's "Get 400 smol-Shonkas" quest and you've already got them stored in your pantry ready to turn in rather than having to go four hundred times to Goshan on your scav to find the one shonk every three raids that's been left on a shelf. Honestly that quest isn't so bad but certain items just aren't that common, so having weeks to collect them makes it easier than trying to get them in a day or two once the quest is active.
Hijacking this to say keep this list some where, it will help you get to lvl15
- 3 mp-133 shotguns
- 3 salewa
- machine key (3st dorms room 205)
- 5 iskras
- 2 emelya
- 2 Large beef stew
- 1 module 3m armor
- 1 TOZ
- 3 gas analyzer
- 4 morphines
- 5 flash drives
- 3 60 round AK74 mags
- 1 sv-98
- 1 multi-tool
- 15 cans small beef stew
- 4 car batteries
- 8 spark plugs
- 3 kite gunpowder
- 2 toolsets
- 3 cpu
- 3 rechargeable batteries
- 5 PCB
- 3 broken G Phones
- 2 power cords
- 4 T shaped plugs
Solid advice. I would add... use VoIP when you need to. Sometimes I'll be under-kitted, position will be exposed/known to other PMCs, and I'll just communicate what I'm trying to do. Maybe it's the tone of my voice, but it usually works out immediately and I've never had someone double cross me. If they don't respond then I know they're hostile and I just play accordingly. I have had better players team up and help me extract with quest items numerous times, this wipe alone. It's also fun when you end up helping someone lower level and less experienced too!
Also tell your squad when they should book it. "Hey, I got ambushed and they have a better position, just get out of there." I appreciate when they say the same to me, knowing the odds aren't in our favor.
The better players have even killed other PMCs we encounter then let me loot them while they covered me. Maybe it's human nature to cooperate to survive. These moments are what make the game the most fun for me.
only play duo, were both at 21, both done basically the same quests, both at about 70% surv rate after like 70 raids, not playing alot just enjoying the pace were at.
Nice, as a Player with some hours in the game i learnd something new. You can guees the loot by the XP you get. Thx for that hint :D
Actually, I don't ever reroll dailies but yesterday I did. It was a mechanic quest that rerolled into therapist..costed no rep only roubles.
i usually reroll til i'm left with kill scavs and item tradeins that i already have, i feel like it's better to focus on main quests without dailies making you do other tasks
I stopped playing at level 18 last wipe, I couldn't be bothered to do the quests again and burned out grinding them, so when I started this wipe I decided I wouldn't take the optimal "perfect" quest path and just take ones that I wanted. I didn't want to go Customs at all so just focused Woods and improved my map knowledge and mid/long range shooting. I am also surviving far more on that map which is great. I now take in my best gear, and don't try to always run budget/bad equipment which has helped me win more fights and get out alive. With all the recent ammo/gun changes I'm finding far less mega chads and more even/interesting fights. I'm much happier now not stressing about leveling and just playing.
I also have started to run more Factory just for the PVP and fast XP at times. If you can survive the first spawn rushes you can usually get a ton of scav kills (and maybe PMC kills) which even in death can be great XP and good way to get combat experience in.
Being honest, getting to lvl 18 and being tired of quests its kinda …. 😂
“40% survival rate is average”
Me with 2% survival rate:
👁️👄👁️
What an absolute chad
Same bro :'(
A CZcamsr I watched not long after buying this game talked about playing it like a survival game. Once I adopted that mentality, things got easier.
What I have found for some quick XP is night factory kill all the PMCs and stay oj the raid killing scavs and looting them I usually come out with 3-4k xp in 20mins. Of course you will die some raids just play Shotgun and facemask
I feel frustrated when I'm left in the dust every wipe. I have probably about 3-4 hours a week max for tarkov.
But guess that's just how the game goes.
The Hit F for lot exp actually changed my game
one thing that adds up if you are in a weird place where money isnt really the issue you can just self heal after deaths instead of paying therapist
Honestly, I'm more confident in PvP in *early* wipe rather than late wipe... since a combination of being somewhat comfortable with scav guns, more players overall (including newer/less experienced players rather than only seemingly level 40 chads everywhere), and the fact armor actually means something saves my ass more than not. This most recent wipe I think it was I had a kit which survived like... over 5 raids, including PvP in multiple of them, I stopped using it because it was too bulky for the map so it's just sitting in the stash reminding me of the good old days at this point.
Loaded into customs with solid gun, and armor set, and I walked into the little building on the side of the bridge. Made no sound but heard smth1 outside, and as I’m getting ready to fight, I get two tapped by some1 in the woods who somehow saw me
My duo kinda stopped playing this wipe, last wipe was his first ever where I started the wipe before the old single shot gl was added
As a noob with only 80 hrs experience - I have been grinding and the gear fear has been intense. BUT I have finally started earning better loot and selling off all the scav gear I was using. I now have an EOD account and have like 5 full kits with 100 Dur weapons :D All my armors are level 3+ so I'm very stoked at how much I'm enjoying the game since joining your discord ^_^ SO much more fun to play with other guys instead of dying solo time after time!!
the best advice i can give for gear fear as someone who is finally starting to get over it is to just keep in mind how easy it is to make money in this game. surviving can be difficult at times but say you spent 100k on a cheap kit. i know it seems like a lot when you just start but if you think about it realistically, just a handful of items can make you back most of if not all your $ spent on the kit in one raid. on top of this, almost everythign has value once you get the flea unlocked. items that sell for 3k to therapist can go for 15-20k on market
Just always go in a raid with a gear that you are ready to loose and dont go in with a 500k gear if you have only 2-3M rubles. You will get used to it after dying a 100 times 😭
@@aijeco1450 Gear fear is really easily beatable. I've gotten over mine, whats harder is seeing your survival rate go down
Last wipe i was really focused on maxing not only my XP but also skills. So when i was doing rat/stash runs & didnt expect to get hurt, id instead spend the first 5 mins of a raid id jump of a small rock to blackout my legs(+perhaps break) and/or run into barbed wire just to make sure i get the healing xp & level healing skills (jumping too far will kill you instread this does take some pratice). Also you get xp for searching & grabbing things so might as well grab everything . Not that you need to take everything with you from a stash or take someone elses gear, but quickly grabbing it & putting it back/discard takes seconds. And all that little xp adds up. This at some cost for meds of cause. Oh & knowing when to do it is importent. Dont want to run into a open field hotspot just to get a little xp from looting a body.
I had 2700 on a 10 min scav run by looting a air drop and dead pmcs i found with some nice loot on them aswell
Thanks Mr Ballen
i used to play with a group that tunnel visioned quests a ridiculous amount while also being ass
like 20 raids to do stirrup or 30 to do bolt action kills within 25m
or 7 raids *in a row* for that one quest in 114
I don't play with them anymore
Watched to completion only for the 69420 XP thumbnail. Nice
I enjoy splitting ammo in loot items to help my teammate or anyone else searching that item. Kind of funny as well.
I just started EFT 2 weeks ago and i have a survival rate of around 20% xD I loose most PvP fight. But the game is still extremly fun.
But i just learned that ammo is hery important. I thought they just have small befefits but damn was i wrong.
I first started horting my best gear because of gearfear but when i used my best stuff, i actually survived more and longer.
I come from a similar game: Hunt showdown and Hunt is like the 'Skyrim' of extraction shooter while Tarkov is the Dark Souls.
this is my first wipe, it's really hard to level up. but i'm level 14, almost level 15. its pretty fun!! i got soooooo stuck on customs for a while though, even after i've learned the map a bit it's still so weird knowing what's safe and what isn't. very punishing. still, as a new player, i'm pretty stoked ive gotten to (almost) level 15 already.
The game gets so much easier once you get access to the flea it's not even funny
@@ainumahtar I have it now but like honestly I don't even know what to do with it lol. I guess I can buy quest keys 🤷♀️ (hideout items and barter items? idk I kinda like finding barter items in raid)
@@BebxOfficial It also makes making money a whole lot easier, not to mention getting ammo and specific bits for modding guns that you cannot easily get, or have the space to hoard all the mods and extensions and ammo you might want to hold on to, especially low level when you do not have a lot of cases to expand your stash yet
@@ainumahtar makes a lot of sense. ty for the advice :D
@@BebxOfficial you can start leveling up your Hideout pretty fast and start crating stuff to sell or submit to vendors for quests. Crafted items have a found in raid status.
the hardest thing forr me right now is learning the loot locations. i have a few quests to do but i have no idea where to find any of the items.
Even if they aren't "super sexy" I'd say they still helped me a hell of a lot. Especially that little tip on scav search xp! I had no idea that was a thing. That's gunna help save me so much time and I'm sure deaths! xD
Stay safe out there, and happy hunting!
My weekly task from Skier gave me a tank battery as a random item!
Anyone else surprised he didn't mention the bonus for headshots? Really adds up if you can take the time to hit their head, along with the benefits of shorter kill times and less of a chance to die if youre playing safe. Also just a good habit to have, hit the head and you rarely have to worry about them.
for me its all about goals. I have 3 goals each wipe long short and on raid. My long goal is kappa the short ones are quests and on raid is an item of something like that, this helps me keep my focus
My internet is horrible after moving but I think I should have an alright time doing starter quests now that everyone is way past that.
What graphic settings are you using? Your Game looks so crisp. Im playing at ultra/high settings at 1440p, but your game looks so much better
best way i found to level up really fast is farming goons on shoreline, throw a zarya sprint at them and spam 7mm buckshot in the face, ive killed all 3 before using this method getting like 20,000 xp witch got me from level 12 to 14. also killing pmc quests give alot of XP and you'll find alot of bad players on factory for ez kills, and occasionally you can blast tagilla in his face for more ez XP
The ones I'm struggling with is Skier's kill PMS's with pistols, and Jager's get 40+m kills with iron sights.
Factory penis paca pistol mag dump dont aim go for the face
This is my First wipe and I’m level 7 been playing solo and it’s tough getting out I just run into duos and squads but it’s still pretty fun even with all the dying 😂
"Touch all the bodies!" yeeess >:)
Another good thing to do to get XP is to go through all of your traders and inspect all of the items they are selling.
i think this wipe i have died more to cracked scavs than pvp
Worst for a new player like me is to go into raids with gear that is so expensive it feels like being Santa on the run.
I can't even count how many times I died searching cabinets, scavs,.. where it's just a matter of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
No expensive gun can avoid those circumstances so I rather sell the expensive ones I find which gives me lower tier weaponry to fight with.
if u die in raid don't use the free healing at the end heal yourself in stash give u 1xp per hp and more for broken bones and bleeding .. it cost a little bit but u can get 300/400 xp per die with this ^^'
you wouldnt be late lvl 20's when you get library installed, you need mechanic 3 which is lvl 30 minimum
Minimum level for library is 30 you need mechanic 3 to upgrade generator 3>rest space 3>library. Bittersweet I have had a good wipe and was softlocked by level when I had the resources for those upgrades but just had to grind out 30.
To comment on your first point, last wipe took me at least a month and a half to get to flea because I was chasing gunshots instead of surviving safely, but this wipe I'm already at lvl 17 and my gameplay hasn't changed much other than just surviving
Well, you see, as someone who is new and struggles to even find exfills it’s a lil hard to get xp lol
Im not a very good Tarkov player, im average, but my survival rate was always around 60-65%. I dont usually fight pvp, unless i have to, sometime i win, sometime I lose, either im focused on tasks, so i do anything I need to do it in one go, if i have to gather something in high traffic area, i would go there by the end of the raid, so there is a little chance to encounter enemy pmc there, if i want loot i just go on woods, as its pretty easy to get a lot of stuff not encountering any hostile players along the way. I never had lvl higer than 27, but mostly bcs I enjoy other games aswell, and im not focused only on Tarkov
I always play to survive, I avoid pvp as much as possible till like lvl 30. I haven't really played last couple wipes tho, I suck
search every container drag every item into your inventory from dead bodies done
This wipe I was so hyped up, that Im gonna hit the biggest lvl that I ever hitted, but every single good run, that I had so far, I met a cheaters and they totaly destroyed my hype... Now I dont even feel like playing EFT anymore....
Started playing this wipe and i'm lvl 8. I'm trying to survive and avoid pvp but i can't seem to find a way not to run into pmc's. I also play solo and I always find myself hunted by duos. Right now the only maps i know are customs and woods, but I'm having a hard time on both. Customs feel stacked with players in every direction, can't manage to safely extract without having to fight someone. Woods is ok but very boring tbh. Mostly empty space and the points of interest are few and contested by players. The problem is that the eay to the extracts are full with scavs and pmc's from the other side of the map that I also can't avoid.
So what do you suggest for a player that doesn't stand a chance vs pmc's? Are there better maps or strategies to use?
Interchange stash runs carried me when I was new to the game, for the purpose of scav kills and loot runs I would look into Interchange and even shoreline, but woods is also good for that
My man dropn knowlege.
7:40 I would rather say into the 40s for people without EOD, that 0.2 Base standing for every trader is absolutely huge
I myself as standard am lagging behind a lot of traders in quests even though i have reached a lot of level requirements at 25
Not to speak of hideout upgrades such as a library or bitcoin farm, those are still a looooong way out
When I'm in a squad we drop our guns for eachother to pickup, the more mods the better. I picked up a dudes gun that was worth 300 xp once.
i had a friend buying a boost early wipe he joined lobbys with hackers that cleared em for him 20 bucks for 4 rounds he got like 30ish k xp every raid + his quests
Of course I am going to "focus on quests", that's why I came into the raid to begin with. What's the point of not trying to get into the 206 room for the Therapist quest and instead running away and surviving?
If you are with a team throw your backpack on the ground and search each other's before you leave the raid.
Is it possible to find "dead lobbies" this wipe? Since they changed it so you can pick region every lobby is stacked with full pmc even at night raids
trooper on factory is playing with the devil.
Just got a daily for killing 15 scavs with the toz. Rewards 3000 xp. And can't reroll unless I want to lose trader rep
I’ve just hit level 10 and 35 raids, I’ve not managed to kill a single PMC yet
But I have managed to get a nicotine addiction and a prescription for Prozac
You’re talking about playing a wipe as if this has become the standard process of playing EFT? I know they do wipe often enough being in development but would hope this is eventually going to stop happening? I don’t get a heap of time to play and get pretty tired of starting from the start all the time, surely at some point they can just let players have the option to wipe themselves if they want the challenge again after completing everything because they can play EFT for 18hrs a day..great video btw!
Me when Insee the xp amount in the thumbnail : 😏
we could also decide to rename different playstyles. Rat = survivor, chad = psychokiller
