- SCP 087 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Stairwell.
This video is a Tale written about SCP 087 in space.
SCP-087 is an unlit platform staircase.
Subjects report and audio recordings confirm the distressed vocalizations from what is presumed to be a child. The source of the distress calls is estimated to be located approximately 200 meters below the initial platform of SCP087 . However, any attempts to descend the staircase have failed to bring subjects closer to the source.

"The Endless Staircase" is simply one of the chilling concepts for an SCP, I wish we knew what lies at the bottom of the staircase.

Look into the abyss as the abyss looks into you. Stair into its emptiness until its blinks. Then punch it in the shoulder because it blinked first.
Honestly there probably are anomalies in space. It's so huge that if something can even exist in theory, it's fairly safe to bet that it's out there somewhere.
Your ability to get my attention for hours on end with a scientific level of interest in this universe is near anomalous yourself. Perhaps we should hold some testing?

I don't know if anybody considered this, but I feel like whenever somebody audibly conveys they want to leave 087, 087-1 always shows up nearby. Could be debunked by exploration 2 since the guy was constantly saying he didn't want to be down there, but just throwing that out there.

Lovecraftian SCPs are the most unnerving ones.
Dr. Bright is not allowed to reverse-engineer SCP-2069 or SCP-2399 and then launch a disproportionately, massively high number of drones armed with thaumaturgically-enhanced laser weapons, thaumonuclear missile batteries, railgun turrets and chainsaw cannon batteries with the absolute expressed intent of annihilating Planetoid-087.
He is also not allowed to build these probes using resources from every space programs, normal or anomalous, and equip them with military-grade paratechnology, weaponized anomalies, and other anomalies that would have altered local reality. The total costs and expenditures to gather all these items are beyond the billions or even trillions.
Nor is he allowed to launch probes containing SCP-963 and a number of anomalies to accompany the disproportionately armed probes just to take control of or direct the destruction of Planetoid-087. Admittedly though, you did all of us a favor by terminating Planetoid-087 and neutralizing the entirety of Quadrant-087.

AGAIN. I though that we made this clear after the Dr. Brights collaborated to "become the ultimate Gatcha Harem Protagonist" by feeding over 83 gatcha games into SCP 3922.

Honestly, the space stuff was just 'and then put this cool sounding thing in, and then this one, and then this buzzword'. Literally none of it made a lick of sense or in any way resembled how an organization with that level of tech would communicate. It would have taken literally 20 minutes to find someone to rework the space stuff to sound right. But....I guess junior wanted to do it all by their lonesome....Too bad, it actually was a neat concept up until the 'have you guessed what this is a parody of?! Hmmmm???!?! If SCP-096 was still alive (173 finished him off, right?) I'd suggest sending a D-Class down about 500 flights, and then have them look at its photo. Perhaps it won't make it back up.

I have a theory. What happens when you look at SCP-096 and stand behind SCP-173. Because 096 runs in a straight line, would 173 be neutralized? Would 096 be stopped? Or will 096 just jump over 173.
They’ve done cross tests between them before. Depending on the story in question you choose as canon, 173 just kept snapping the neck of 096 over and over agsin until 096 just kind of gave up on killing it and basically just accepted that 173 saw it’s face, while in another, 173 snapped 096’s neck and then the director of the test quickly started pumping acid into its now snapped open bones to melt it since the otherwise unbreakable skeleton was the source of 096’s regeneration abilities.
Either way 173 wins

I love listening to all these SCP files, they are so wonderfully descriptive that it helps put the SCP foundation into a quadrant of existence where there's no proof that it actually exists and there's no proof that it doesn't exist which makes the possibilities all the more enjoyable
Tho it does make you wonder, if it's possible that it does exist how many weird things that have happened in the past could be linked to SCPs ....it would explain alot but without definitive proof we normal humans shall just have to keep guessing

They destroy most universes, Dark Tower only gets beat by 3812, Sefiros/Qlippoth and maybe 2747. Twin Peaks should beat SCP afaik
