Thank you. I have been watching a guy on CZcams named Dr Travis Shaddox. He has a PhD in Turf Science. The site is called Turfgrass Epistemology. He is slowly debunking many on the CZcams influencers myths. Turns out, there is minimal to no science to support what the hucksters are selling. The minimalist approach (Cultural practices like proper mowing, watering, pre emergent, and minimal fertilizer for effect) is what is supported by his research and the science. Good to see you back.
Hey man, great to hear from you! Yes, I've seen some of his stuff and subscribed to his channel. It's refreshing to hear. I've made videos about this approach for years now and have been ridiculed by some for it. At least now I know there's someone with a PhD who supports the same thing. I guess it'll be hard to argue against it anymore lol. Not saying I've never been wrong, but all the product shilling just never made sense to me. Thanks for watching as always!

Sir, I've watched you off and on the past 3 years. Just subbed. When I bought my home (sept of i cant remember year) my yard needed work. I searched CZcams and found a guy who was made rich selling fert to his subscribers. Said youtuber has added more products to make it so complex and makes it seem like work (I'm not retired so i can't do everything he suggests)

Thank you. Glad you liked it. Depends on your grass type. Bermuda likes to be cut low while some cool season grasses are better cut tall. I cut my bermuda as low as I can without scalping. Hope this helps. Thanks again.
Travis hi, I live in southwest Texas and I need a recommendation on a granular pre emergent for Bermuda lawn. Last year I had a contractor put down a liquid pre emergent. Like to do a little more lawn care myself. Thanks for all you help.

I am in the market for getting a new spreader this year, and I am looking at that one or the Agro-fab that is priced a little higher. Do you over-seed your lawn at all? I have a neighbor who’s preaching it but haven’t heard you talk about it save for maybe once in the dozen or so videos I’ve watched.
Thank you. Glad you’re enjoying them. Bermudagrass does not need to be overseeded. It’s a warm season grass that spreads very fast on its own so overseeding isn’t necessary like it is for most cool season lawns. Hope the helps. Appreciate ya.
@@BudgetLawns thanks! My neighbor overseeds with a fescue or rye grass (i don’t remember which) to have green lasting into the winter here in OKC. But I think I’m good knowing things will go brown in the fall and having some relative time off.

Thanks man. Nah, I’m honestly not a huge pro sports fan. I’m really into college. My Arkansas Razorbacks have had rough seasons this year in football and basketball. Baseball is #1 in the country for now. So at least that’s a plus. For me, it was cool to see the Eagles win at least one in my lifetime but I won’t lose any sleep if they don’t ever again. College sports are such a mess with NIL right now that even the fun is being drained out of it. The lawn at least keeps me sane. Thanks again for watching.
