It's disheartening to hear about situations that lead to increased security measures, like the deployment of the National Guard to New York City's subway. Such steps are usually taken with the intention of ensuring public safety and restoring peace of mind for commuters and residents. It's a reminder of the importance of community and looking out for one another. Hopefully, these measures will help to quickly and effectively address the concerns, and bring about a safer environment for everyone. It's in challenging times like these that the resilience and strength of a community are truly shown. Let's all hope for positive changes and a return to safety and security.

More police would make people more secured not safe. More police is an excuse to not fix the decaying infrastructure with basic structural solutions to make people feel safe. The subway will always be a safety hazard so long nothing is being done to upgrade all the stations and the rest of the system. The MTA is the real abubers of human public safety. They not making the stations flood proof nor installing platform screen doors. But they would most definitely be creative at taking your money than fix it at all. Can't rely on the police to fix those issues.
