@KJMProductions I mean I am too the series buffs the f*ck out Gohan everytime they want him to fight but he does nothing enough to have lost Ultimate twice before this film and still gets a stronger transformation than it? Honestly it's too much asspull justified by "hybrid potential" while being exclusively this Gohan[future one still got clapped easily and wheres this kind of power making you strong enough to body the new threat for hybirds like Goten and Trunks?] for it to be excusable in my mind. And yeah Cell Max is a disappointment in every way[looks ugly and is stupid Af] part of Cells charisma and interesting bit as a character is how calculating he was and how he just didn't even care about his creator just wanted to be perfect then after that just wanted to atleast be testing out his full power to a satisfactory extent. Plus regeneration and zenkais stacked together is one broken ass combo so taking all that away and his memories just makes you question why they even bothered to call him Cell at that point(he can't even be scary in the drinking people way with a spiked tail has a weak spot one his forehead, is dumb as hell, and is neon christmas. And yeah Beast looks dumb as hell to me because it's just edgy SS2 recreation but done in such a goofy way while also trying to look like UI in some way seemingly but red eyes cause edgy, and like I said him having lost ultimate twice kinda irks me for it is all because we have not seen a character get 2 new transformations[granted first one was reclaiming ultimate] in the first and second rounds of a fight before. So it does do a shit job because Gohans character is just reduced to lazy but has ridiculous potential and then the same stupid reason only being "cuz hybrid." Honestly, I'm not a Gohan fan, but even they are sick of him relearning to train more this much.

But overall, it looks like it'd be a good movie for every part Piccolo is in and just mainly ignoring Beast and Cell Max in their major flaws because everything else does seem really tasteful. (Coulda had a scene with Pan being on of the five Saiyans lending him their power like in the beginning of DBS.) But Cell Max is just taking every good thing about Cell that makes him so unique and interesting and throwing it to the trash and adding christmas lights and making him a kaiju[which Db hero's already failed with(Cell X) so I haven't faintest idea why they tried again and somehow made it worse with the Kaiju idea]. Because Cells intelligence, absorption, regeneration and zenkais, hell even extensive knowledge of the cast because of future data and profiling made him so fearsome. Buus like the apposite broken regeneration and magic without knowing much of anything besides some things Super Buu or Evil Buu does(doesn't make Buu bad just less terrifying on having any way out) I mean Buu absorbed and ate people but Cell drank you I think I'd prefer to be turned into candy and eaten in a big bite of chomps than drank with all my nerves and body organs being sucked up as a smoothie.

I love Gohan but i'm so glad Piccolo got his chance to shine, he may not have been strong enough but by god it was about time they gave that man some power

I just realized that the movie sorta forgot Gohan's deal with isolating himself from his family because of his work. Like, it seemed to be an ongoing problem according to Videl, and even Pan seems to be upset at this when no one was able to pick her up from school. However, the film sorta glosses over that at the end since Piccolo only really bags on Gohan to keep up his training. Is he still going to lock himself in his room to look at bugs again? This feels like something that should have been addressed.
@@Hannahmiru He talks about it in the beginning of the movie. Not at the end, where you expect Gohan to have the typical, "I shouldn't have put my work over my family type beat." Piccolo seems to be more concerned about Gohan's training rather than his growing negligence towards his other responsibilities. And it's so bizarre how they dropped that aspect completely after the first half of the movie.
Piccolo was mad because Gohan was choosing not to pick up Pan, there wasn’t really any indication that this happens all the time or often. The plushies are probably just for various odd jobs Piccolo has done for both Gohan and Videl. Either way, Videl wasn’t really acting mad or as if this happens a lot, and if anything, Piccolo wouldn’t have acted so surprised and mad if this was common for Gohan. He asked Videl why not Gohan, after all. If this happened a lot, I don’t think Piccolo would have to ask. Piccolo was the main one upset. Videl wasn’t mad (and was also too busy to pick up Pan, does that make her a bad mom?), Gohan wondered why Piccolo was mad, and Pan was just sad because she was being picked up late after everyone else had gone home. Piccolo really was just kinda using Pan as an excuse to get Gohan to train more 😂

Is it weird that I think every fan art of Beast Gohan looks better than the actual look of the transformation? Mostly because every fan art shortens the hair a bit so it looks more natural.
I heard a lot of negativity about this movie but only 10 minutes in I realized how amazing and a threat Earth is. Dr. Gero created androids that was stronger than the emperor of the universe at the time. Plus that genius still lives on in his grandson. It was very nostalgic and I couldn't help but to think about how future Gohan was killed and seeing present Gohan have that support/mentor around to push him to his limits to save his world from destruction. I give it a 8/10.

Now, according to the authors, he has a transformation that jumps past (SS3 possibly), SSG, SSB, SSBKKx20, and UI/UE in one transformation. It's bullshit. Let me remind you that when Gohan fought Cell and he turned SS2, his power only doubled, yet he was able to completely overwhelm Cell. The difference between SSB and SSBKKx20 is twentyfold, and UI is even stronger. How in the HFIL is Beast Gohan stronger than that huge jump in power with a single transformation? Is everyone Broly? Why does he deserve this power? What did he do for it? The movie wasn't even about Gohan. This movie is more about Piccolo. So why does Gohan get the final blow? This movie is weird.

A lot of the fighters have a bunch of moves they just don't use anymore lol. Not sure if it's just because they forgot about them or that they just aren't as useful as the abilities they continue to use.
So many moves man, Going back and watching Z is so much fun because there are so many different tools the characters have that I forgot they could even do!
Dragon Ball has mechanic that if you’re Ki is a stronger then your opponent’s then you can just overpower and nullify their attacks. The stronger you are the less likely anything works against you. Jiren ignoring Hit’s Time Stop. Cell taking a Destructo Disk to the neck, Vegito’s barrier separating him from Buu, etc At a certain point I think these guys realized their abilities don’t take do anything because the power level difference is just too big for the villain to even notice they were attacked
I would love a movie/show with Pan doing shit like kid Goku did back in the dragon ball days. No "the world might end" shit, just some wholesome fun with Pan beating some bad guys to help people.
Piccolo totally pulling a Goku at the end. He feigned death while Gohan was nearly full power to trigger a big transformation. Basically the same idea Goku had when he threw Gohan up against Cell in the first place, but with the added power boost, and knowing it would take the emotional counterpart to trigger. On top of that he has no problem using Pan to draw out Gohan's emotional responses. Not that Pan really ever seemed to be in danger save from Cell Max.
Piccolo didn't break the 4th wall, a tiny detail in the movie was that the gammas actually make the sound effect appear using holograms built into them.
I think the should have made beasts hair a little shorter but the kick transformation and special beam cannon was cool but when he was talking to piccolo after was very goofy looking 💀
Watched the movie twice in cinema - adored it. Watched it on Blu Ray a year later - wasn’t as thrilled about it. Soundtrack audio is flat in places. I mostly love this movie for scaling up Gohan and Piccolo, also for its fan service, and the adorable Pan. There is another generation of fighters coming and that’s exciting. Would love to see Teen Trunks and Goten get some more love in future. Dr Hedo is a very useful narrative driving character for future too!

I just realized that the movie sorta forgot Gohan's deal with isolating himself from his family because of his work. Like, it seemed to be an ongoing problem according to Videl, and even Pan seems to be upset at this when no one was able to pick her up from school. However, the film sorta glosses over that at the end since Piccolo only really bags on Gohan to keep up his training. Is he still going to lock himself in his room to look at bugs again? This feels like something that should have been addressed.

@@Hannahmiru He talks about it in the beginning of the movie. Not at the end, where you expect Gohan to have the typical, "I shouldn't have put my work over my family type beat." Piccolo seems to be more concerned about Gohan's training rather than his growing negligence towards his other responsibilities. And it's so bizarre how they dropped that aspect completely after the first half of the movie.
Piccolo was mad because Gohan was choosing not to pick up Pan, there wasn’t really any indication that this happens all the time or often. The plushies are probably just for various odd jobs Piccolo has done for both Gohan and Videl. Either way, Videl wasn’t really acting mad or as if this happens a lot, and if anything, Piccolo wouldn’t have acted so surprised and mad if this was common for Gohan. He asked Videl why not Gohan, after all. If this happened a lot, I don’t think Piccolo would have to ask.
Piccolo was the main one upset. Videl wasn’t mad (and was also too busy to pick up Pan, does that make her a bad mom?), Gohan wondered why Piccolo was mad, and Pan was just sad because she was being picked up late after everyone else had gone home. Piccolo really was just kinda using Pan as an excuse to get Gohan to train more 😂

I heard a lot of negativity about this movie but only 10 minutes in I realized how amazing and a threat Earth is. Dr. Gero created androids that was stronger than the emperor of the universe at the time. Plus that genius still lives on in his grandson.
It was very nostalgic and I couldn't help but to think about how future Gohan was killed and seeing present Gohan have that support/mentor around to push him to his limits to save his world from destruction. I give it a 8/10.

Actually, I think it more so shows that Gohan really does have bad eyesight and needs glasses. When he goes Super Saiyan, his eyesight seems to be fine.
DB usually got a habit of messing with plot logic for the sake of a dumb joke, but Bulma makin goofy wishes as ALSO a way to keep bad guys from using dragonballs is a great way to connect the two ideas. You gotta love whatever school orienatation meeting had Pan's family needing to explain who the hell the green alien who came with em is.

Gohan is the antithesis of Dragonball. He is strong just because. He doesn't need to train. He doesn't need strategy. He just gets mad and is the strongest. It's dumb.
Now, according to the authors, he has a transformation that jumps past (SS3 possibly), SSG, SSB, SSBKKx20, and UI/UE in one transformation. It's bullshit.
Let me remind you that when Gohan fought Cell and he turned SS2, his power only doubled, yet he was able to completely overwhelm Cell. The difference between SSB and SSBKKx20 is twentyfold, and UI is even stronger. How in the HFIL is Beast Gohan stronger than that huge jump in power with a single transformation? Is everyone Broly?
Why does he deserve this power? What did he do for it? The movie wasn't even about Gohan. This movie is more about Piccolo. So why does Gohan get the final blow? This movie is weird.

Dragon Ball has mechanic that if you’re Ki is a stronger then your opponent’s then you can just overpower and nullify their attacks. The stronger you are the less likely anything works against you. Jiren ignoring Hit’s Time Stop. Cell taking a Destructo Disk to the neck, Vegito’s barrier separating him from Buu, etc
At a certain point I think these guys realized their abilities don’t take do anything because the power level difference is just too big for the villain to even notice they were attacked

Piccolo totally pulling a Goku at the end. He feigned death while Gohan was nearly full power to trigger a big transformation. Basically the same idea Goku had when he threw Gohan up against Cell in the first place, but with the added power boost, and knowing it would take the emotional counterpart to trigger. On top of that he has no problem using Pan to draw out Gohan's emotional responses. Not that Pan really ever seemed to be in danger save from Cell Max.

Watched the movie twice in cinema - adored it. Watched it on Blu Ray a year later - wasn’t as thrilled about it. Soundtrack audio is flat in places.
I mostly love this movie for scaling up Gohan and Piccolo, also for its fan service, and the adorable Pan. There is another generation of fighters coming and that’s exciting. Would love to see Teen Trunks and Goten get some more love in future. Dr Hedo is a very useful narrative driving character for future too!
