    I finally found the Cherry Cola BBQ Rub. Having it on Rib Eyes tonight but I’m thinking of pulling out my Ninja Grill. It’s going to be a long day thinking about which appliance to use. Ninja Speedi or Ninja Grill?

    *Which is better -- Foodi or Speedi?*
    Which dishes does Speedi not do as well as Foodi?

    • @ScottCooks
      @ScottCooks  Před rokem +2

      The Speedi is a square Foodi without pressure lol. It can do almost everything my one lid Foodi can do. But because of its smaller size it does it a little faster. The Foodi on the other hand is a touch slower but because its larger the air fry element is a little further from the food. Less chance of burning. I use them both daily but if I want to thaw something and cook it and the same time (roast) I'll reach for the Foodi and use the amazing pressure cooker. Soon I will be releasing some experiments on thawing with pressure vs thawing with steam in the Speedi (of course the Foodi can also steam and crisp)

      @@ScottCooks - hmm, but are there some dishes that Speedi would do poorly, due to lack of pressure cooker? I've heard that for some particularly tough cuts of meat, or even for legumes/beans/lentils, pressure cooking is irreplaceable. Would Speedi be able to handle those?

    Great video and the meal looks incredible! I need help deciding whether to get the Ninja smart lid or the Ninja speedi. They both look amazing cookers but I just don’t know which one to get. Which one would you recommend? Thanks and a new subscriber here 😊

      If you're not that interested in Pressure Cooking (smart lid), then the 'Speedi' can do almost everything the Smart Lid can, just a slight less depth, but with more surface cooking area overall capacity.

      I’ve never used a pressure cooker but might be useful to have. Would steamed potatoes and carrots be as good in the Speedi as pressure cooked in the smart lid? I would have to keep it in a cabinet and bring it out each time as I don’t have counter space. If you were making pasta, vegetables and chicken which one would you choose to use out of the 2 that you have? Thanks

      @@mandyjx11 I prefer Steamed veggies and chicken over pressure cooked.
      Steaming is a bit more gentle on the veggies and less chance of over cooking. Yes whether it's the smart lid or the Speedi, they require benchtop real estate.
      Something to consider when space and storage is at a premium. However the tradeoff is worth it. There's pros and cons with both.

      @@johndavis7944 I already have the Ninja max health grill and griddle which stays out on the counter all the time but the Speedi will need to live in a cupboard and only come out when being used. I will use the Speedi for steaming and crisping one pot meals such as pasta, potatoes and chicken. I just hope I can also bake a red velvet cake in it using steam and bake as the one you did in your smart lid looked perfect and I’d like to recreate that in the Speedi 👍
