    I share your sentiment in keeping with theme. Nothing sadder then when a deck's end board is generic negates and off theme monsters. Best of one online so I cut the prohibition and cybernetic overload for another edge, cannon, and 2 impermanence. Having fun so far but cyberdragon, nashster, and herz are really letting me down.

    • @metaggrit
      @metaggrit  Před 2 lety +5

      Yeah, I tried leaving out Herz yesterday and played an extra Attachment Cybern, it seemed to flow a lot better since Cybern also works with Horizon. That Cyber dragon package is mainly so that you can actually use Horizon's effect without giving up your Cyber Dragon Core. So since attachment Cybern's effects are really good, I think that it's better than the Herz and maybe also the Cyber Dragon. Nachster stays for me though because it can revive Chimera, Sieger, and Chimeratech Rampage if you end up having to use any of those. Thanks for the comment.

    Nice variation!!
    I'm testing a trap card called Chain Material combined with Fusion Gate.
    Temple of the Kings, Flash Fusion, Necro Fusion come in handy.
    You won't be able to perform Battle Phase, but I've gotten 2, sometimes 3 Rampage out, use each their effects to pop and send light machines (ABC's) or Naschter, Herz, E-Turtle.
    Then overlay for Nova, special summon Naschter, which gets you another Cyber Dragon.
    Summon Seiger.
    Then Cyber Dragon Infinity.
    As support, I used minimal Machina support just to extend any extra plays.
    To bring this home, Fusion Gate and Chain Material get you Cyber End, which you can then send it with Cyber Dragon Material for Seiger or tribute summon it for Cyber Dragon, getting it to the GY.
    Then summon Cyberdarkness, equip End, then go into Dark End.
    *Machina Overdrive helps the deck and Cyberdark Chimera can send it if it's dead in hand so you can use its GY effect to get back 3 of your machine Engine, meaning Cyberdarks, Cyber light machines, and even your (ABC's).
    Then there's Cyberload Fusion, which can return your entire engine if not specific Machines.
    Malefic Cyber End is a cherry on top as it's searchable with Horizon and can run over Dragoon if it's out early enough.
    One last Cyberdark Combo I like is using Armored Cybern.
    Cyberdark Invasion can equip it to Horn, Edge, and Keel, or Claw and Cannon for those who use DNA Surgery.
    You can -1k for destruction and if you have 2 Invasion, you can then pop another card... use Inferno to re-summon and your Cyberdarks are good as new.
    I've kept the deck limited from 40 to 45 cards.

      Chain Material is a pretty nutty card. I think it has potential to be really good. I'm not sure of a consistent way to get those other necessary tech cards into the hand... I suppose one could play Opening of the Spirit Gates and Foolish Burial Goods lol, but that also seems pretty inconsistent.
      I like your concept here though, and I think it's well worth testing. Comments like this with unique tips and tricks are exactly why I even uploaded this video to CZcams. Thanks for the comment.

      @@metaggrit for sure.
      I'm just a session drummer that loves Yugioh and the potential of Cyberdarks is too real.
      I'm thinking about cutting Cyberdark Chimera in the Chain Material Fusion Gate build, mainly cause I banish more than i use the GY effect in that build.
      The Power Bond search does speed up the possibility for fusion summoning, but eh.
      Traptrick comes in handy to speed up Chain Material as well.
      Temple of the Kings for that instant Trap activation is sick.
      1 other deck build is Dragunity Cyberdark, which if you're able to get that one Dragunity that equips multiple Dragunity from the GY, that's a lot of negates for Cyberdarkness Dragon.
      *Check out the Synchro monster Gaia Armor Dragonshell.
      Personally that's my favorite equip monster.
      It acts as an equip by its own effect which does wonders for Cyberdarkness Dragon, plus you can equip it using Cyberdark Invasion to your main deck Cyberdarks for that battle and draw 1.
      Not too many players know about that guy.
      Lastly, Konami just announced a new Power Tool Dragon which can equip 3 equip spells to it.
      I'll be testing that guy out just to see how Cyberdarkness works with it.
      Definitely hoping we can get at least 1 more wave of Direct Cyberdark support and your channel is cool so I Subscribed.🔸️
      Look forward to checking out more of your videos.
      Thx for the upload.

    Nice Deck! I like how the main deck is almost only Structure Deck cards and / or some easily obtainable additions. Started playing YGO with 3 SDCS in March so this came quite in handy. Thanks for sharing your ideas and design.
    Ran it some in casual / friendly play and it definitely has potential to "steal" some games, but as soon as people figured out my paths, they know my chimera is the weak point and can really go in on it - saving their Ash to negate its effect, preventing GY fusioning, or straight up Lancea just destroys my whole setup in the latter steps, leaving me with a full grave and barely anything on the board. Stuff like Dragon Buster Destruction Sword dog is quite situational and does little when it doesn't hit turn 1, but getting it turn 1 only makes sense with Cyberdark Darkness Dragon so it's kind of "win more"... also not sure on the Cybernetic overflow and Cyber Repair plant (this feels like a worse cyber emergency, overall not sure if I need a 7th Cyberdragon core).
    Prohibition is a bit controversial for tournament play when I don't know the opponents' decks.
    Thought about incorporating machine duplication and at least a second CD maybe for nova/infinity in game 1 to force / prevent Hand traps and protect chimera / power bond. Or at least as a contingency. Have you had some update thoughts on the deck?
    Cheers from Germany

    • @metaggrit
      @metaggrit  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for the comment. Yeah I've come to realize the Cyber Dragon package other than Core is pretty conflicting with most of the deck. It does allow for some sort of turn 2 play if you manage resources perfectly, but then again you'll lack the support of hand traps. So yeah, I've cut most of the Cyber Dragons from the deck.
      Obviously Crossout Designator can help this deck out, but that's a meta card so I hate to include it in my video. I've learned that Instant Fusion (coupled with Millennium-Eyes) serves as a second CBTG, which is extremely helpful going first. I also realized that My Body As A Shield acts like CBTG for monsters that negate and destroy your cards, which is most on board negate monsters. So you can essentially have 5 copies of CBTG, which makes this deck so much more consistent than before when going second. But even still, Body Shield might not be worth running because it doesn't help much when you go first.
      Otherwise you could run powerful floodgates like Gozen Match and Summon Limit to stall your opponent and putt putt your way into Cyberdarkness Dragon. But I don't like this strat for two reasons: 1 it requires playing meta cards, which I hate. And 2, it kinda undermines the "cool" factor of summoning the two baddest Yugioh monsters ever made on the same turn (with additional support on the field). So at the end of the day this deck is at best a deck that CAN beat meta decks going first but typically will lose in a competitive environment. It's more for the fun of Cyberdarks than anything; but it still is insanely powerful if you can pull off the big combo.

      @@metaggrit Thanks for the reply. I see, well being new to the game and having a rather limited pool of options I will refrain from going with too many "out-of-theme" (i.e. not cyber-) options, but thanks nonetheless for the insights.
      With the archetype being my very first venture into YGO it holds some sentimental value so I'm set on making it work somehow :)

  • @CardFox37

    Have you taken this to locals? And how did you do if so?

    • @metaggrit
      @metaggrit  Před 2 lety +2

      I actually have taken this deck to my locals, and I played with it online on Dueling Nexus' Ranked Match mode. When it goes first it has a good chance to win. But you have to get lucky because if you don't go full combo into Cyberdark End + Cyberdarkness, you lose just about every time. I went 2-1-1 with it at my locals, and I was able to get into the top 20% of ranked players on Dueling Nexus.
      At the end of the day, it's not very consistent, especially if your opponent plays well. But it's main combo is nasty, and if you get it off, no deck can really beat it. So it's fun to occasionally beat a top tier deck with this.

    Oh shit you decided to Shotgun the OTK Cyber Dragon route in the side?
    That is definitely an old school move to do, you don't see that at all anymore. Badass my dude.
    Your list is something i have to review a couple more times but how do you exactly figure out the ratios in the this deck? Cannon is often at 3 yet you only one 1. What is up with the differences in logic here? I like this list but i always feel like i have this deck all wrong lol.
    Huge fan of you showing us exactly what you would side out because i don't see anyone doing that. I certainly have had trouble doing that in the past.
    Prohibition on the Brave Token engine. Screw Griffon man lol

    • @metaggrit
      @metaggrit  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah, so because I focus on the combo that gets out Cyberdark End Dragon and Cyberdarkness Dragon at the same time, it doesn't matter if Canon is in your hand or if you search him via Realm and then use him to search Chimera. What's really important however is that you NEVER open with two Canons in hand. That could kill the combo, so to avoid that scenario you just run 1 copy of Canon, because you'll never use him twice on the same turn. Thanks for the comment, I hope this clears up that ratio decision.

      Actually you cleared up things nicely because the combos i end on don't result with in End and Darkness on the field (Its either summon one or the other in my deck). You are the first to explain why Cannon is viable at 1, so thanks man.

In my first tournament i was just crushed buy meta deck, the modification were no match for them so i started to look out for better builds around the cyberdarks but their is not a lot of them, and even fewer up to date. But that's when your video popped up on my screen, maybe it's destiny.

    If I use the card that dumps a monster from extra deck and dump the og cyberdark fusion can I use him as fusion material for the one that takes 5 materials? I tried googling it but didn't get an answer. I don't see why you couldn't but I know you can't summon a monster cheated out of extra deck so I didn't know if using it as fusion material had the same ruling. If you can make him that way it takes about 2 cards to start flowing and setting up grave.
    Fixed spelling

    • @metaggrit
      @metaggrit  Před 2 lety +2

      You definitely can use a dumped extra deck monster as material. In general though, Konami is aware that Extra deck monsters getting dumped is a powerful tech, that's why cards like extra foolish burial, Gale Dogra, and Nadir Servant have high cost to play. I've tried making Cyberdarkness this way, and it just seems too inconsistent. But if you have a deck list that gets the job done consistently then let me know.

      I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to making a combo guide, there are already a couple out there for Cyberdark End Dragon. And he's really the only card you have to combo to get to, other than Cyberdarkness Dragon, but he is part of the same combo typically. If I get enough interest from people wanting me to make one I probably will though.

    whats the point of herz in cyberdark? most of the time it searches regular cydra that you can´t summon, Cybern and core are the only light cyber monsters you need, sure if you smoke screen into regular cydra then you don´t have to side as many cards in, I guess

    Hello, my name is johan, greetings from peru, I appreciate that recommendation about using the side deck as a new deck extension, could you give another suggestion out of the ordinary to surprise my opponent in a local tournament?

    • @metaggrit
      @metaggrit  Před 2 lety +2

      If you like to go big or go home, use Prohibition aggressively. For example, if you declare "Dark Magician" with Prohibition, your opponent won't be able to summon Dark Magician OR Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon because it uses Dark Magician as material. This little trick also works against the big Elemental Heroes monsters, or any Fusion monster for that matter. Prohibition locks your opponent out of using the card you declare, even if they only want to use it as material. In my opinion, the two cards that you should declare the most often are Predeplant Verte Anaconda and Fusion Destiny. Just know that Prohibition can be destroyed and it will consequently lose its effect.
      Eradicator Epidemic Virus is another powerful card that works with this deck quite well. Thanks for the comment and good luck at your locals.
