I have done this for a couple months now thanks for the idea. Broken front tooth🙄 I've never had anybody ask me if the tooth is fake.Tea works best to tint it however it discolors so fast best bet is to just leave it. In a day it will darken. To whiten it I soak it in diluted bleach water for a couple hours. Wash it off really good before you put it back in. Also don't eat or drink anything really hot as it will melt it!! Best to make extra so you have them in case.

My natural teeth have more of a greyish tint to them and this was making them too yellow so I used food coloring-blue, green and red to get a grey tint and mixed it with some tea. I made two colors, one darker than the other to make sure to get the color just right. I followed your instructions and got a great tooth that is so close to my natural teeth its crazy. When you are mixing the food coloring you have to play with it to find the best color for you.

I find I use 6-7 balls per front/dracula tooth. I also heat in coffee (1-1.5 tsp/cup) for exactly 2 minutes to get shade A2 on my tooth. You could do 1 minute if you drink a lot of coffee for the tooth will get darker than the others after a weeks worth of coffee. I just make another tooth as you can do like 200 teeth prolly..for 30 bones! What's that...like a dime a tooth?....ohh yeah!!!
The key is like you said...make an oblong shape the approximate width of your tooth space. Then, mold quickly inside to outward to match other teeth length and concavity...then work the edges to get the gel to match laterally in the grooves, but be careful. I had a crowned tooth next that's loose and on the first take tooth attempt, I had to drink hot coffee and swish for a second to get the gel to loosen... quickly! So, watch not to get the lateral edges too tight or you won't be able to "snap in and out" like you advised! You may not get the tooth out easily at all if too tight. It's a fine line as the lateral support really makes it stick, but not too much! Dremel it if you can squeeze it out while hot. Otherwise, swish hot coffee and take a pallet burn! Lol ! Only takes one before you get that width perfect! You may also get a thin layer of fluff to brush upwards on your pallet, but a Dremel works out all my rough edges..or/then small scissors.
Once you get the "V" shape down to fit the gumline, the lateral edge shapes needed, and used to the snapping in and out, dremeling, fine work, etc, you've got a great replacement tooth. Takes me bout 45 minutes for a replacement..that feels natural and not like my implant on the other top side.
Kinda thinking just sticking with this replacement as that plastic bitch is tighter than most of my crowns (to the gumline), feels natural like my crowned teeth and not my implant, and is way cheaper than the 4000 or whatever my dentist wanted for an implant there..before COVID! I'm sure it's like 8k now! Anyway, I hope this helps someone else that don't have a life savings to give to the rat dentists that suck you dry of money..just so they can go to Cabo on it instead of me..fml..Anyway,. I'm in over 50k..easily..so, I definitely wished I woulda found this earlier! Thanks for all you guys' advice!!

For DENTURES that are too WHITE, you can also do this. Stain them with the tea same as you do for the faux tooth, but will need to have stronger tea and leave in longer as dentures are stain resistant. Then you'll have to be careful about using the cleaning tablets on your dentures as that will remove the stain. But then.... you can stain them again.
For the faux tooth or for dentures, if you darken it too much, you could use a foaming denture cleaner tablet, remove the stain, then do it again with a less strong tea.

@@WitchyMomma I'd use tea. Coffee doen'st stain as reliably. And tea only takes 1 teabag (black tea, not green or herbal) in about 1/2 cup of hot water, and leave in for 10 min... check the color, then put the dentures back in the water if not dark enough. If they get too dark then use a dental cleaning tablet and then start over.
but you can try coffee... make it strong, leave in for 10 mintues, check the color.
The dentist warned me not to go so white on the dentures, but noooooo, I didn't listen... :(
