Grew up on Misty Mountain Road. Great memories. Walked to Shongum school in the mid eighties. Moved to Shongum in the earlie 90's. Got a lot of fish out of Shongum lake!
I have to say, Shongum is my favorite neighborhood in Randolph even though it’s not the one I live in haha. What kind of fish did you usually catch in the lake?
I went to Sokol Camp on Ironia Road 1956-1968. The area was much more rural in these days. We used th hike to Bill Crowley’s General Store once a week.

Great video. Love the footage. Newer Randolph Ironia Resident here. (2yrs)
I’ll say the Victory Gardens section threw me for a loop for a minute there… that’s definitely a separate borough. And I always get a bit confused on where the exact “Centergrove” division lines are. I basically see Centergrove as everything northeast of Morris/Dover Chester intersection going over to Millbrook. Everything north of route 10 is the Fernbrook Section. Everything on Sussex that is East of Calais all the way to Morris Twp division line, is the Mount Freedom section.
Thanks for the feedback Delia. I also had a hard time finding the "official" sections of town map, so I based it off of how Neighborhood scout drew the lines. What questions did you have before moving to Randolph? Perhaps I can make a video addressing some of them. Thanks again for watching my video.

Victory Gardens is not part of Randolph, it’s its own town.
That is a great point! For the purposes of this video I chose to designate a section of town to be called Victory Gardens.
