PhantomhiveSass Manson was great. In the future there will be another one. That is not a down play to him in any way. I look at it this way I am sure people said the same thing about artist like David Bowie and Alice Cooper. Manson took their Ideas to the next level. There will be someone that takes his to another level.

great song, what a powerful performance! It will never be like this again! Not that I don't love his new performances, but the energy here is like a fucking sledgehammer hitting a brick wall! So much rage and passion pouring out of him, that is what made him a legend! Love him so much.
+Stonemilker B - I have a MM T-shirt with that slogan I got in SE Asia! It's orange, on the front is an image of a white hand with index and little finger up, other fingers tucked down.. On the back proclaims WE HATE LOVE, WE LOVE HATE (in logic, I think that's referred to as a "strange loop")...
Wish I could of seen Manson in the 90's same with Slipknot and KoRn. Just seems like they have more aggression and anger in their songs. But least they matured and made better music. This song and The Dope Show are my top 2 from Manson though :)
I love America. I love Freedon. I lover Liberty. I love the system that allowed this concert to happen in front of tens of thousands of people. And, if you don't, you're the enemy. You're what this song is about. If Manson wiping his ass with a flag upsets you....Good! Welcome to 'Merica!
Saw Marilyn Manson in 2019. I was both surprised and impressed by his professionalism. Scene and costume changes were like what I'd have expected from Beyoncé- and nothing like Slayer who I saw the previous day. He's a total entertainer- and a very good one. FWIW I also saw GWAR just before Slayer- Disturbed were headlining on the first day- and they were fucking awesome. If you haven't seen GWAR live you really should.
sure - and that is cool but philosophically you are still representing male dominator, desert patriarchy 2,000 old anti-nature and anti-woman ideas that the majority of human beings that don't think like you will suffer eternally 1 trillion x 1 trillion to trillionth power is not one trillionth of eternity so obviously that is not true if you have any shred of human decency in you. you don't really want to believe that the majority of human beings that don't think like you will suffer eternally, right? that is no idea that deserves to be in your head MM and others of us, who were raised in the church simply quit believing that hell was an idea worth us believing and we were able to love human beings more honestly than a Euro-American Christian ever has. we don't think christian are going to hell or anything like that we just see that the book they are trying to weaponize against us all to control us with guilt sin and blame is destructive and degrading to our lives and minds and so we try to spread the word that people are great that nature, natural law, natural power, and human nature are all welcome and we should respect what we are and other living beings that religion is trying to divide people into believing 2,000 year old stories that today are harming us and the minds of the children that are still being forcefed theology and raised in a fascist theocracy like U.S. is today.
they were good from 1995-1997 those were the best times i remember seeing "sweet dreams" on mtv in 1995 on mtv late at night i was 15 then when mechanical animals came out he went all glam
@@mhill781 I agree with Jason Huntley. After the glam of mechanical he neer went back to this image or sound (a tiny bit on Holywood b ut not that much). When you compare Portait, Smells Like Children and Antichrist to everything that came after there is really no comparison. He sucked in an entire generation of kids (myself included for a bit) into believing in the mythos of his mid 90s image. The santanism, masochism, anti-parent, anti-pop and so on. He fueled the rage in millions of kids and when I firsr HEARD dope show I like it...then I saw the video, smh. And the next single's video 'I don't like the drugs' was equally bad and mind as well have been a Bowie song. And once Manson explained that the Antichrist era was never his true self or intended to be a long term image since Antichrist was mearly the 1st installment in what he dubbed a 3 installment 'rock opera' of sorts with Mechanical Animals and Holywood being the other two and they were all meant to be strikingly different from each other he seemed to turn off a lot of his fans who were looking for the connection to the dark and evil aura that surrounded him during those years. I personally find Antichrist a masterpiece and one of the best rock albums on the 90s easily in the way he crafted it from the sound to the lyrics, to the artwork and escpecially the videos it'll live on forever in it's wickedness.
@@brewcitymike1 that was deep bro! The fact remains this is dope music to the max. Manson is one weird ass dude always keeping us guessing and that album really solidifies a spot in the mid to late 90s as a masterpiece even if he kind of steered off that path and got on different drugs lol its still good shit to this day and I wish I had been old enough at the time to appreciate it but I was probably 7 or 8 when antichrist came out by the time I was 14 mobscene was his single lol kinda weak compared to irresponsible hate anthem
I listened to this on a live record many years ago and this is where i started to dislike Manson and all his records that i had and use to listen all the time , i felt something really fucked up was on his mind , cause ILOVE LOVE and I HATE HATE
Eloy Gutiérrez But I think he's saying that our society loves hate and hates love. His goal is to show people what they are afraid of and make them think about it.
In this album he's supposed to be a representation of your fears, he doesn't really believe what he says most of the time in the antichrist period of his music he's representing someone else.
He's beyond the time's Prime example of how easily a group of people can be controlled and he knows it and I think he cant fucking stand it. I loved this album and would have been easily controlled the yr this came out. Also to the people who hack time and make people perform for your pleasure at their emotional and mental expense Your times r crumbling. Get some therapy on how to treat others and stop being so selfish. We all matter and we all deserve to not b controlled and run like a circus. You know when the lion eats the circus trainer or attacks him Well I'm hoping we can be intelligent enough to know that hatred anger n death r not the answers. Forgiveness potentially. He commanded that stage in just a corset and some dirty rags. Current Manson just kind of stumbles around stage in 20 layers of clothing trying to cover up his gut. He really needs to lose that weight, the strange sex appeal he had when he was thinner really brought a lot to his shows. And I don't believe that it's too late for him to lose weight, look at Twiggy. He looks great for his age and he did a shit ton more drugs than Manson.
Man, they were such a great band. Then Marilyn pulled an axil and fired the band and like guns and roses will never get it back. Bummer because they really were amazing.
I was dating a girl at the time who would wear one of my Manson shirts to bed. I pulled the Wedding Singer line on her, "Take off that shirt before you curse the band and they break up" and it came true.
We need a band like Marilyn Manson to infiltrate the mainstream again.
Nobody can do Marilyn Manson better than Marilyn Manson though. lol

they shouldve given them a grammy for this.
