  • Welcome Back!
In this new series I will be finishing rebuilding my 2004 or 2006 (its all the years) Yamaha R1 that came to me as a basket case. The goal for this series is to attempt to rebuild it as originally as possible for a little as possible. Some shortcuts will be made.
In this video we will begin to start to rebuild the bike itself. Starting with some thread repair and finishing up with the engine mounted in the frame.

The best rebuild series on youtube, love how you explain every detail, really hope you get more views cause it would suck to see you give up recording your future builds. I for one appreciate the hell out of it, even inspired me to buy a gen 2 fz1 engine that was torn down already for cheap but it’s definitely intimidating lol.

Thank you, i appreciate, luckily my other hobby besides bikes has always been doing video, so i image i will keep filming most of them.

What did you use for hardware? General kit? Or did you buy R1 specific?

For the fairings it was an ebay r1 kit. But I also keep several generic sport bike kits from like cycle gear.
