Ige def a G but Diego was up against a roller coaster of emotions and challenges. Weight cut, calls at 3am short notice, last minute drop out against an opponent who didn't have to cut wait. Oh by the way only a few hours notice this time.
Lopes had to cut weight and change his game plan for a fighter he didn't prepare for. Ige is a stud, but don't take anything away from Lopes. Both guys are G's.

Hate to be that guy but I keep seeing all these new Dan Ige interviews now and can’t help but think it’s just bc 1) Diego Lopez didn’t impress or get the finish like people wanted and 2) McGregor fell off the headliner . Dan ige is good but people want to see finishes on a card like that that’s why everybody is not talking about Ian Garry beating venom page right now. Let's not make such a big deal for something taking a fight on a moments notice. If you're a true legit fighter, you're a professional in all aspects of life, and can fight with anyone in your weight class at the drop of a hat. The problem is, too many of these guys are undisciplined, and need 6-8 weeks just to get the excess bodyfat off.
