I am an older guy who saw the Grateful Dead about 120 times, also saw most other major rock bands with the exception of the Stones. My impressions are: A phenomenon as much as a person. A powerful force of light. Maybe the most intense one in centuries. How real, how genuine. How well all of this has stood the test of time. She is 35. a force of nature. Her older music is still wickedly contagious. How truly amazing as far as the consistency of the intensely positive energy. The same thing happened with Tay Tay as with the Dead. I didn't like the music at first. Then the thing is not a musical act, it is a cultural phenomenon. And I investigate to see what is causing everyone to react so strongly. It's the amazing positive energy. The music is actually only a reflection of the inner beauty that is attracting people. People are not there exclusively because the music is so good. They are there because she and the overall experience she creates is so good. She has fallen in love with her audience, and is respectful and exceedingly generous to them. Wow. That is the real stuff.
