- I've been waiting for the MAFEX Deadpool for a while, and while it's in an art style I'm unfamiliar with I can't deny it's still a kickass action figure. And it's Deadpool. That helps too. But speaking purely from a toy perspective, Medicom killed it with this one. Did I mention it's Deadpool?

Man, Mafex has come a long way.
They really have. The first ones I ever messed with almost made me cry, so bad. I still hate that Superman and C-3PO. And there is still some bumps in the road. But oh man, they can be so good.
The Fwoosh I agree completely. The first Mafex I got was that damn Superman. Haven’t touched another until John Wick. Which is now one of my absolute favorite figures of all time.
The only problem I now have with them is the price
Best 6" Deadpool figure yet. Its really unfortunate that he doesn't come with guns though.
PS: Just wanted to point out that all these recent Deadpool figures have been all based on his modern design, wished we had more based on his classic look.

Tbh I don't think they'll do that with this release. They only ever do that with figs that are RIDDLED with qc issues like their iron spider and the nolan trilogy batman.
This is the definitive deadpool in my opinion.
The artist you mention in the review seem to draw them a lot with just the katanas. Sometimes guns but more of the katana. This is an excellent review and they were clearly specific in the design. Great review. I love this figure!
Finally got one of these ordered for my birthday this year. so stoked. Wolverine was my first Mafex, and since the only issues with him are the blue stripes and the arms, which are more "minor inconveniences" than problems, I think after I have Deadpool in hand I'm going to be hooked.

Great review as always, man! I'm aware Mafex had problems before. But personally, I have several now with no issues, so.that seems to be behind them.
I want to get this figure, but right now I can't, too much stuff coming out at the same time, lol. Also need to get Gwenpool, those guys will look amazing together with that style.

Truth be told, part of me wants to buy this figure, but the other part of me says: "Wait! Perhaps in the future they will make a 90's version Deadpool figure!"

Great review waiting for mine to arrive. I did have qc issues with the comic Spider-Man left toe on the right foot 😂 also big gaps in the knees. Hopefully this will be better 🤞
I have 1 Mafex figure in my collection, the Homecoming Spider-Man. I have not regretted that purchase one bit, it's an amazing figure and excellent quality. It's also the reason why I'm patiently waiting for Mafex Iron Spider instead of getting the Figuarts version. Even though I love SH Figuarts and it's my number 1 go-to company for import figures, Mafex convinced me to wait.

awesome job with this figure, I do not think anyone could cover it much better than that. I do not collect too many of the MAFEX line, but if someone was on the fence with this one, the video should help them decide.
Awesome! Figure looks good, but in all honesty I still like the Marvel Legends from the Cable wave the best right now.

Even though it’s the same design we got a bunch of times I really dig this figure. I got my figure yesterday. No guns sucks but I got a bunch of extra ones so it’s okay.
That's where I am too. At least there are gun slinging hands, I have a bunch of stuff to throw in there. I didn't think I'd care for the style but I ended up REALLY liking it.

I definitely like the faces more on the Mafex Deadpool compared to the rest, expressiveness is a bigger element of Deadpool to me than guns, which are easy to grab from other figures
MAFEX is my favorite overseas company. I love them.
I like this deadpool, and most Mezco pistols fit in his hand. You can find some $20 mezco accessories on ebay

Great review I've got lots of deadpool but not a mafex deadpool so if its affordable enough I would probably check it myself stylewise it looks part modern part classic so I'm down & I did just recently spend $96 on the new full power broly so I'm not afraid to spend sorry for the paragraph thanks

With Mafex doing Jim Lee Wolvie and Cyclops, Bagley Spidey and McFarlane Venom, who are all 90s inspired, it’s odd that this Deadpool isn’t based on his original Liefeld design from the 90s

I considering passing on this version of DEADPOOL if only to hold out for a movie version ... although @ this point it seems unlikely we will see a movie version in 1 / 12 scale . I am also anxiously awaiting MAFEX THOR as well as hopefully many more MCU MAFEEX . Any information as to when we can expect MAFEX THOR to be available for PO ?
Not sure, Wonder Festival Shanghai is this weekend so maybe they will make a Thor announcement. And Disney now has the Fox properties, hoping we'll see a 1/12 movie DP soon.

They have this at Singapore and I'm planning to buy one, although I can't decide what to buy, either this deadpool or the mafex spidey comic ver. Since I'm a fan of both.. Which of these, would you suggest that I'll go for first?
Spidey is cool, but the colors came out a bit drab. This Deadpool is awesome all around. Grab it, and then grab the MAFEX Spidey 2.0 with the comic book shading in December. Win win!

John Wick was my first Mafex and I loved it so much I immediately started ordering other Mafex figures. Loved Two Face, but my Bane was riddled with some serious QC issues like floppy arms, a broken hand peg out of the box, and TWO bare right arms that I swore the line off. But this DP is seriously making me consider jumping back on.
Definitely not perfect, and I didn't have the same problems you had with Bane (love that thing) but I'd say it's no more than any other company.
@@TheFwoosh Yeah from what I saw my issues were very, very uncommon. Being the sucker that I am for Bane, I ordered another one lol.

This Deadpool is tempting to pick up and replace the Marvel Legends. If Mafex comes out with a version closer to the earlier comics, like they did with Spider-man, I will definitely get him.

To be fair Hasbro didn’t give Deadpool some guns either in the Sasquatch wave... Wasn’t until later that they gave him guns. Plus if you also got the latest Hasbro Deadpool you could just give the Mafex one it’s guns.

Looks like the Revoltech DP trounces this one when it comes to accessories and sheer poseability.
Oh yeah, they usually do, but this one kills it in more neutral stances and overall presence.
I got this figure and the quality is pretty awesome.
However, From from what I heard, the Mafex Eva 01 is a qc disaster

@@TheDeadrumors I got my Mafex Eva 01 yesterday and don't have any QC issues. My right shoulder is slightly lose but holds a pose no problem. The paint application is good too, no splotches and the tampo printing on the forearms is clean.

After watching Good Omens and seeing the true power of finger guns I support their decision.
Hmm, looks good, but so full of contrasts - no guns, but shedloads of hands (well done Mafex), swappable buckles, but fixed eyes...? I've not gone in on this, though am off to look up Deadpool movie stills and looks at how easy it'd be to convert this into a movie version, as it feels like a solid figure... 🤔
Honestly, I'm liking it even more today than yesterday. You can see Reynolds peeking out in some poses. The hips are tight but everything is so fluid, and guns from the bin make it so much better, it's made for holding firearms. I thought the style would get to me but I don't even see it, it's replacing my Legends DP on the shelf.

I think so. Better size, smoother sculpt and articulation. And my figma face plates don't like to stay flush.
I like the smooth style. I kinda wish we saw this kind of thing more often, some cartoony stuff.

The flooding has my local FedEx all crazy so who knows when I'll be getting my Mezco stuff. It's all lost in the system. I really want to give those Daredevils a go though.
MAFEX has 100% gotten better in quality, paints, joints etc. and that's so awesome. They do a lot of stuff not many other companies do so that's great. Though, they certainly used to be known for exploding out of the boxes, for sure.
Oh definitely, I still cry at the thought of Superman and the first C-3PO. That almost swore me off the line.

Mafex still sucks. For their price, their figures are Crap. Are Nice figures but far from being excelents or perfect. Much better Mezco.
