The amount of high-potential players Porto and Benefica always seem to produce every couple years is honestly insane

@@silvesta5027 but i can see why you forget Sporting. Sporting has been improving in that regard, but the problem with Sporting was that they would sell their talents way too soon. Many good players did come from Sporting but they would pass through a bunch of teams before getting recognition, even some of the Benfica and Porto talents came through Sporting first

Generally love every video and especially the guests coming on, but Zach seemed very unfocused at times and used many filler sentences. Definitely valid information in there but took way too long to get it across.
This also was amplified by the constant distractions going on in his background, the poor quality of audio, the lack of video and the birds chirping definitely put even more of a spotlight on him
Gonna have to agree on this one. But I still appreciate Zach coming on the show
Plus he is american, would have been nicer having somebody with a deeper connection to the club and who actually understands the values, explain Fábio’s playstyle and both his qualities and flaws.
@@leonardomorais2685 that’s irrelevant. The man clearly knows his club, regardless of his nationality. Adrian has done a pretty good job so far at making sure the guests he brings on know they football, but today the setup and i guess lack of focus (considering he was living amidst the distractions that we were hearing) Zach displayed is what made this at times very hard to watch

@@karimmehdi4435 it really does make a difference though, we’re not talking about a big premier league/ la liga club with a worlwide fan base, we’re talking about Porto and, although we are FUCKING MASSIVE, there is still an effort to maintain city culture when discussing our players and club matters. With this said, and as fellow Porto citizen, I just felt like some things could have been expressed better generating more exposure for the club (and player) itself.
Im a big fan of Adrian’s content and the guests that he choses so i dont want to speak poorly just because i thought 1 video could have been done better, i just had to put this idea out there, but in all fairness there probably isnt a big content creator from here.
I just know there was potencial wasted but maybe neutrals like you just want stats and facts and thats still all good!
First video I just couldn't listen to. The guest sounds like he just didn't have the time and he was in a rush to get it done. Nothing against Adrian, but the guest definitely brought this one down. Also as everyone else mentioned, birds.

I was shocked by this, but I have learned from experience not to get excited about an Arsenal transfer.

12:45 I like the point you guys made about the pressure and environment in the Portuguese league. The media in Portugal is so revolved around futebol, the players, the coaches, the teams (especially the big 3) etc. Its a huge thing there, especially in proportion to the small country that Portugal is. I actually live in Canada, but I go on vacation there often, and it is just different how much all these things I mentioned are idolized
I'm an Arsenal fan, but I never said a bad thing about other leagues. I find it amazing how many incredibly talented players some of those leagues produced over the years. The Premier League would not be that good without foreign players. There's no such thing as "a farmers league". Just different ones. Great insights into this transfer! I see him being Odegaard and Saka's competition... I know we going for Raphinia but Fabio is versatile, and we could have injuries in that position from one of our starters. The one starting could also lack the form to maintain a starting position. So Fabio can slot in and compete for it. On Odegaard, he'd definitely help Odegaard to unlock the hidden potential that he has ... He'll make him more instrumental for the team both home and away

The qualities these guys have described him as having are integral and fit very well in what Arteta requires of his players. Arteta is building a monster at Arsenal with all this great young talent.
Arsenal transfer plan is clear, build squad depth with top quality. F. Vieira gonna be great backup/rotation for Odegaard as Arsenal chasing UCL spot thru league position or maybe winning UEL. Striker positiont now is the biggest issue with Raphinha rumoured to be £65/75 mil. With £30-40 mil for Lisandro Martinez and budget for Youri Tielemens, Arsenal might not have the funds a striker or maybe having too much as Gabriel Jesus speculation seems like a done deal. No longer Arsenal associated with NO MONEY extravaganza.

As a Porto fan it’s quite disappointing that the SAD let him go for 35 million. That was his release clause and there’s nothing to do but his clause should have been higher. I think we should have tried to keep him 1 more season at least because he was so critical for us winning the league and he wasn’t even a starter. I think he should have stayed at Porto, cemented himself as a starter, ripped it up in the league and CL for us and then made that bigger move. Hopefully it works at Arsenal and I think he will but there is a danger in youth players making that move a bit too early before they really get the chance to develop and cement themselves as first team starters. He’s a Porto lad though came through our academy and has only ever played for Porto so there’s a great pride in producing players like this and selling them on! Vitinha who is just like Fabio, academy boy is on the verge of signing for PSG for 40 mil so Porto’s academy is on fire right now. I just hope we can use some of that 80 million we get from both Vitinha and Vieira to get some good replacements and quality in

Smith Rowe plays the best on the left flank. Odeegard can play as a number 8 as well. Plus vieira can play on the wings as well. Quite versatile and different type of players.

Nah, I'd think you'd still need two of Xhaka, Partey, Tielemans, (& Lokonga and Eleneny), in the midfield for the balance. Odegaard and Fabio will only play together, I think if one of them plays in a more forward position or it is a 5 ATB formation.
