I loved watching Apolo Ohno in the Olympics and had not thought of him recently. This video was great showing what Apolo is doing now. I love his life story.
Anyone else have a soft spot for this guy? 😊 I remember watching him on TV as a kid. Maybe I was too young but I definitely remember feeling that his win was like my win. All the Asian American kids around me felt it... 🤔
I most definitely have a soft spot for Apolo. It's what brought me here tonight. I mean, what's not to love? He's an amazing athlete, an incredible dancer, he seems like a heck of a nice guy, and then to round it out with that gorgeous face and stellar body. Whew! Have mercy!
Every so often, I look him up to see what he's up to and to drool over his photos.. I can't believe it has been 20 years since I first discovered him. There's an old commercial where they sing the words, "Just one look. That's all it took. Yeah!" Nothing could be truer. My crush on Apolo is still as strong as ever! 😍😍😍
@@UmmahanTaylor puhleeeeeeeze.... you are jealous....you must be one of the skaters who lost out on a medal in a race he was in or it was a family or friend of yours....he never cheated...if you don't like the rules, talk to the organizers of the sport and the governing bodies and the judges who judge on what is a DQ or what is not.... #DOBETTER.....#quityourwhining

I watched everyone of his races in everyone of the olympics he was in and he never cheated. Ever. All you haters just want to hate. He’s a great athlete who can hold his own.
Not that he cheated, but that the judges called a simple flick of a wrist to be DQ worthy. Ohno raced as he normally does. His reaction may have contributed to the decision of the judges, but if you did see all the races, you can see which race I am referring to. A flick of a wrist, Ohno reacts (not sure why), ROK skater gets DQed. I wouldn’t call that cheating per se on Ohno’s part. But a call that the judges could have made differently.
Hes well, world class, but NEVER legendary level compared to the REAL monsters of short track.
He is top world class, but still not comparable to the REAL MONSTERS and LEGENDS in short track. I understand why he would not denounce his gold medals.

I don't know much about Apolo Ohno as a person. But, Ohno as a sportsman, he had a lot of controversies with his wins and medals. I still see many comments calling him cheater/lier under his other videos today. I personally think, at least, he was not an obvious dirty player type like Li; the Chinese skater who stole his gold. I do agree that Ohno has done some behaviours made the controversies and fans to remember him as a cheater. Yet, I think he is a talented skater. I do not know why he had to ruin his own reputation. But he could be remembered as a legend with respect instead of getting all the negative comments from the fans even until today. I feel sorry for him.
