@@mufc383 if you folks want soccer to become the most popular sport in Australia may I suggest avoiding forcing such 'popularity' discussion into unrelated threads like this where the initial comment was only about the personality of 1 AFL star with no mention of other sports or insinuation of inter-sport popularity. The very reason why I never took to tennis was because I had someone close to me frequently telling me how great it was, actively deriding my then love of cricket and saying that if I was serious about sport that I should also like Tennis.
Just let each sport be great unto itself without having to feel the need to deride sports other than the one/s that you personally value most.
