I met Mr. Swayze and his horse Tammen many years ago at the Egyptian Event. He is a very nice, genuine person. He knows how to handle horses with a firm but gentle hand. I was allowed to pet Tammen, and he truly had the "Look of Eagles"...what a horse!
I myself had Arabians when I was younger. I had the incredible pleasure of meeting Patrick. He was indeed an amazing man, and he LOVED his horses!!!
Thank you for posting this video. I've met Patrick several times at shows and he is such a kind and gentle man. It REALLY shows in how he handles this filly... nice, calm and quiet. Beautifully done...

aww he absolutely loved his horses did Patrick. he struck me as a man who loved nature and the outdoors and most probably thought Hollywood and celebrity was a load of bullshit. He was SO real and that's why we all fell completely in love with him

Really nice shaped head, on that Arabian, unlike some of the recent one’s I’ve seen. Mr. Swayze was very proud as he should be !
Yet another reason to love Patrick Swayze. He was in one of my favorite movies, The Outsiders, and we both love Arabians! XD

my trainer was at nationals with him and she totally met him and hung out with him, he was showing arabian western!
Apparently he is out in public life quite a lot especially when it comes to horses. I hear of so many people that have had contact with him. I think I'd enjoy meeting him too. Not just shooting video of him.

haha yeah well as you know I'm a hunter jumper shooter. Someone had to tell me what this sport was. Arabian for those of you that might still be wondering. Lots of hooting and hollering! Better update my tags... haha

What might be 'good' conformation in the sport horse (or dog) world isn't popular in the show world. That's why in horses and dogs, you have performance/working horses and dogs and show/halter dogs and horses. They are not the same thing and many 'show' horses/dogs have bad confo that is popular in the show ring. In arabian horses, its the weak swan necks and overly dished faces.
I haven't been to too many Egyptian Arabian events but the ones I have seen are always noisy.

The horse's conformation and treatment can be very poor in the halter horse show world, just like in dogs.
