In this video I investigated the Megalodon to see if it still exist. We went searching for fossils and Megalodon Teeth, talking to a shark hunter, and also a Megalodon expert. Could they still be alive in the Ocean.

While watching the last part of the video, I came up with my own little theory. What of the megalodon slowly became a smaller species? If it's a warm water shark, it could have went to hide in an unknown warmer area for years and is still there currently. It could have evolved to survive on different foods that live in the unknown area that we probably don't even know exist, if this theory is true(it's probably not lol). So they could have simply shrunk down and changed up a bit so now they're smaller and can seem like different species of sharks. Just a silly little thought, really.

2 things i have to say 1. Megalodons are shallow water animals, and 2. there is no where near the amount of food in the mariana trench to sustain a 50 ton shark.
Im saying this at the first 40 seconds of the video. Q: Is megalodon extinct? A: No.
Gonna see if he says something stupid or i get convinced that he's right(which prob not gonna happen as ive watched enough atually educational videos in stead of fake fact channels)
Edit: I was correct. the conclusion was that the meg is extinct. i was right!!! Also marriana trench theory is very wrong because of basic physics. You prob heard that at a cirtian depth humans just... get crushed by the water around them like a soda can. thats why the organisms living in the deepest depths(im assuming that you know the angler fish but i mean deeper than the anger fishes depth and eather way they are not a reliable food source for the meg and also pretty tiny compared to the meg, it would be like living off a half a bag of potato chips every day assuming that the meg could find the amount of chips to make the half a bag range) are mostly invertibrates like octopi and sea slugs, also some soft body fish but they stop appiering after a bit so the invertibrates are alone. Also food is a factor because explain to me how a giant meg could entirely live off of sea slugs that each intevigual is like 50 meters apart from eachhother. There is a reason why megalodon ate whales when it lived lol.

Ok I live in guam and it's VERY close to the Marianas Trench, and there are box jelly fish sharks lots of fish, and now I am scared of the meg bc you said "are there any at the Marianas Trench?" but hey I still love you content

Megs lived in coastal areas and physically could not live in the trench. The pressure would crush and kill them and there is not enough to eat to survive let alone procreate
