You're a wild man! That line of leaves and sticks is the high water mark. Either from when they release the water from the resivoir or maybe from the big rain storm that just went through there.

I'm local here. The Dam is fished with very specific techniques and even then people are donating many of lures to the Susquehanna. I'd recommend visiting down stream a few miles toward the mouth of deer creek!
This dude is nuts, he does anything to catch fish. He waded in water that had less than an inch of visibility and was probley alligator filled just to get a fish. I have been in some crazy places to catch fish but I would never do the things he does, This dude is awesome.
The educational value on this vid is through the roof. you give a deft demonstration on how to read the water and navigate a creek to get to some juice. Super helpful stuff, 1rod. Gotta love that grind... didn't think twice about hopping in my own creek last summer because of this vid.. Appreciate You, 1rod! No way man. I’m from moco but I still love the Conowingo dam for stripers and cats. Caught my first flathead there but it really is for experiences anglers only. Never caught anything down near the fence and only near the gates.

Years ago before 9/11 you use To be able to go underneath dam on that side your on Octaroro Cr use to walk out to wall in middle and would seine little shad on that concrete and catch everything from stripers,walley, big smallmouth and Channel cats sucked that they closed it off.You do have about 10min when sirens go off before gates are opened!

I have fished here around 30 times caught a 45 pound blue catfish… at least 100 stripers. Sooooo glad you finally went here man. There is sooooo many fish here too.. catch a fish almost every single cast.

The blues are insane but the fight on flatheads is way tougher!
One place worth fishing is the Lower Niagara River at Devils Hole State Park, Whirlpool State Park, and ArtPark State Park in the Niagara Falls and Lewiston NY area requires hiking down a gorge on stairs and dirt paths but produces smallmouth bass, salmon, and trout hard to catch fish there but worth the hike

Conowingo is a very mysterious fishing place the best way I’ve got catfish there is on a float rig drifting in the current with cut bait, There are some giant catfish in there but yet another great video by the legend himself awesome video man you have seriously been pumping out the videos this summer 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 awesome work man definitely any fishing adventure is worth it. A bad day of fishing is better than a great day at work lol I would have to say zero ticks haha

@@1Rod1ReelFishing anytime man, a lot of those bigger catfish come off the bottom when they open those gates and stay in the current seem. A big float with about 2 feet of leader, cast upstream and hold on lol awesome work again love watching your stuff.
